So sorry! This is the busiest time of year for our lab and pollinations were peaking this weekend. Things should be a bit more normal now (except that I will be gone Friday-Saturday, but we might wrap up by then).

Muzthari ignores Bizzle's suggestion as Tortuga hits the shrubbery (2 and 3 miss, others hit).

Ok, I'm back in town. Let's finish this up!

@Tortuga: So I'm assuming your monk level (as the CL) needs to beat the CL of the spell/ability to overcome the fear effect. Unfortunately a 10 is not going to do it so Tortuga is running away...

@Bizzle: you were on the wrong side of the wall and couldn't see her. I'm guessing this was a mistake or your pawn got shifted so I put you back in the room.

@Aldaris: no checks necessary, her form is blinking in and out of existence for one thing. And when the attacks did actually hit her, you already made the knowledge check to know that she has DR/good which means your attacks need to be good-aligned to do full damage.

4d100 ⇒ (95, 88, 58, 22) = 263

Panicking at the evil glare of the woman, Tortuga turns tail and flies straight out of the room! Bizzle hits her with a set of missiles as Aldaris and Rogar think over their magical options. Rogar's elemental continues to hit Muzthari but it isn't hurting her at all.

Unafraid of the elemental, Muzthari flies straight towards Bizzle! Provoking from the elemental. She's still flying 10' above the ground but can reach Bizzle.

She whips her arm around, trailing a thorned vine which strikes across the gnome's face!

vine: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29
damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Plus 1d4 bleed on your turn (which will require you to make concentration checks if you try to cast).
Plus DC 22 Fort save against poison or take 1d3 Wisdom damage each round for 6 rounds (2 saves needed to cure)

And if you are poisoned: A creature with Wisdom damage from a pakalchi’s poison hears paranoid whispers warning of betrayal. It can’t treat any other creature as an ally or be a willing target for a spell or effect.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Tortuga finally lands two hits and sends the pakalchi tumbling to the ground, falling into Bizzle's pit to add insult to injury!

Out of combat!

With Muzthari defeated, you can retrieve the soulstone and leave the Garden of Betrayal. You can easily find the road that leads west to Dabril, and from there book passage south to the lodge in Woodsedge. The journey is uneventful, and while you can sense that Zey’s spirit is safe within the soulstone, you can’t make contact with him.

Once at Woodsedge Lodge, Venture-Captain Eliza Petulengro contacts Sorrina Westyr and Kreighton Shaine, who arrive a few hours later with Aram Zey’s body in tow (kept from decomposing by multiple gentle repose spells). With a heartfelt thanks, they take the soulstone into a secluded room and resurrect the Master of Spells.

When you see him again, Aram Zey looks healthy, though his eyes are still haunted by the experience. He greets you with solemn handshakes.

“It seems I have you to thank for my continued existence. You have my eternal gratitude, and I thought you should be among the first to hear this news: I will not be returning to my post as Master of Spells right away. Sorrina Westyr has done an excellent job in my absence, which is not surprising as she was not new to the appointment. I have much to think about concerning my time as Aslynn’s ‘guest,’ and I fear the extent of the secrets she extracted from my soul. I will remain at the Grand Lodge, of course, and if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.”

The three senior Pathfinder Society members offer to accompany you back to Absalom, wishing to hear all the details of their mission. The dark specter of Aslynn’s mysterious intentions hangs over the debriefing, as no one is sure what the night hag will do next....

And that's it! Congratulations and I hope everyone had fun! I will get the game reported and send out chronicles later tonight.
