The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Ultimately you are trying to find documents/evidence to implicate Sloan, one of the leaders of the Aspis in Magnimar, in the trading of illegal artifacts.

The scenario is not really clear in how you are supposed to do that exactly. There are descriptions of the rooms and what evidence (if any) you can find in each location and there are also descriptions of how the clerks, guards, and other workers respond once the alarm goes off. But how you get the evidence is really a sandbox I guess because there is little or no guidance for the GM on how to handle this. I'm willing to work with whatever crazy ideas you have.

If I may ask, Bazresh: Given that you are proficient, don't use arcane magic, favor a one-handed weapon, and don't quite have the Dexterity for dual-wielding, why no shield?

Good question. Originally, I was building Baz to be archery focused, so never thought of a shield. TBH, I don't think a single one of my PCs uses a shield. It's something I don't think about. Maybe I should.

Liberty's Edge

male Tiefling Ranger 5/ Slayer 3 [hp 70/70] [Init +8] [AC 23, T15, FF 18] [Fort +9, Ref +11, Will +5 {+5 Fort/ DR 5 vs Cold, Elec, Fire}] [CMB +10, CMD 25] [Perc +16/+17 vs traps/+20 vs human/+18 vs animals/+2 while in forest]

So I have never really gotten the hang of the whole diplomacy vs intimidate thing. I know about the DC scale and all that, and that there are individual DC's for each interaction, but how does it work when characters are doing both? Intimidate has a short term bonus, but long term negatives. Diplomacy (when high enough) has just benefits. The goal here is to get him to comply/ come clean.. but if we intimidate him, he is just going to get pissy and stab us in the back at the first opportunity. Thoughts or explanations to help me see this clearer?

I will be taking a Fall Break trip with my family to Grand Canyon and Mesa Verde.

I'll likely not be able to post from Thursday to Sunday, so feel free to bot me if I'm up!
