Tactics and Play Style:

Type: Face (melee bruiser/support)

Sündr is a charismatic (if brash) party face who also happens to swing a greataxe really, really well. She'll sing and swing 'til she's blue in the face and you are too. She's durable but not that durable, and prefers to spend a round buffing herself (and the party) before wading in after the tank.

When not in her preferred states of existence -- the glory of battle or, secondarily, composing a new ballad -- Sündr is a fairly social creature (and more than a little flirtatious) with an eager curiosity about the world. She's quite young, which leaves her a little lacking in worldliness, but she will get there in time.

Background:

Sündr-dögunn is a heavy bastardization of several Scandinavian languages and translates roughly as “the Song of Daybreak.”

Like many women of the Lands of Linnorm Kings, Sündr-dögunn the Spinner was never comfortable with a ‘traditional’ woman’s role in society. From an early age, she wished to partake in the battle-training of her male counterparts but, being denied despite her charming pleas, had to instead practice her swings on trees in the dead of night. Oftentimes, after sitting enraptured before an inspiring song of battle -– or better yet, White Estrid -– by the long-hall’s fire, she would sneak out into the woods with a borrowed axe and cut and hack and sing her own song until the break of day.

As she aged, the boys of her village noticed her growth, and she earned a few frowns by noticing right back. In the mead halls, her nimble tongue and rousing song always drew attention -- attention which she was usually happy to repay. Her love of life earned her the nickname ‘the Spinster,’ which she happily adapted for her own as ‘the Spinner’ in homage to her spinning axe and her spun ballads. Despite the unfriendly standards of her society, Sündr was quite content in her village near the Grungir Forest. There was mead to be had, songs to be sung, enemies to fight (usually from Irrisen), and a warm bed each night.

That all changed in 4710 AR, when Shadow Lodge agents under the command of the Spider attempted to destroy the armory of Trollheim to the north. As she happened to be in the city’s market at the time, Sündr heard much about the esteemed Pathfinder Society after its agents foiled the plot through glorious combat. She immediately packed up her few belongings and journeyed south in search of adventure -– and the Grand Lodge of Absalom, where she might become a Pathfinder herself.

Today, she searches the inner sea for glory as a Field Agent. She has grown quite fond of the Society and its many fine tales, from Durvin Gest all the way to its present mighty war against the Worldwound. Secretly, she has become an agent of the Sovereign Court, not out of any love of aristocracy per se, but because she wholeheartedly supports the system of rule used in her homeland: the rule of the mighty. She hopes that, in time, all of Avistan will bow to Linnorm Kings –- and that she might one day be among them.

If we want, I could switch to my oracle lvl 6 and run through high tier? She has a strong companion and a lot of nice spells to make things easy.

Hello all.

Ok if I switch PC's for this? Originally signed up for Orik, but I see its Liberty's Edge geared, and I have another 4 Fighter that is in that faction.

If OK, I will dot gameplay with Graz, the half-orc fighter (brawler).

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Sure, that's fine with me.

Man, love those stats, haha.
Oh! Don't forget my Owlbear, BOOTS!

Boots Stats!
Initiative: +2
Perception: +1

Also, before we start I'm paying 10 prestige to buy this from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide, along with 2 prestige for a fresh wand of CLW.

Dayfinder (10 PP): Similar to a normal wayfinder in all external ways, this rare form of wayfinder differs in the potency of its light-emitting abilities. Once per day, the light generated by an active dayfinder replicates a daylight spell for a duration of 1 minute. These powerful tools against darkness are granted to experienced Pathfinders by generous venture-captains, and may only be purchased on the black market within the Society itself, and even then only by exchanging favors—never for gold.

(I actually wasn't sure if I was going to get in and I had no notification that I was picked, haha. Sorry I'm late, I have to do all my stat blocks and crap too but I should get that done tonight.)

(Edit: I am so focused, I got it all done in 47 minutes and had enough time to edit this post and write this. BOOM!)

Looks like we have everyone and with an APL of 4.2 we are solidly in the low-tier. As long as the higher-tier people are ok with that, we'll get started right away!

EF, I can't get my gameplay post to stick right now. Not sure what's up, but I rolled a 31 on my Perception check, getting a 19 on the die.

My post was going to follow that roll as:

Ruorecht leans in, as close as he could get to the man who was showing them the ropes, so to speak. "I appreciate your birthmark. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone that you are favored of the Dawnflower, however," the elf adds with a wink.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Man, I just realized that this party has some really pathetic perception scores, lol! Ruprecht is the only one with a decent Perception and three of you actually have negative Perceptions!

Most of my characters have jacked Perception, and I got really used to playing in parties with all high Perception, so I just didn't bother with this character. Oh well. :)

Don't see it -> get hit first -> smack with greataxe -> drink mead -> don't see it -> get hit first...

Woot! Thanks for running the game, EF! Had a blast, as usual.

Question...is there anything we could have done to prevent her from escaping, or was she just a mcguffin that was meant to get away?

Ditto to everything Ru said! Also thankful for a great game and also curious.

Also also, thanks to all the players too!

No, she always gets away. They have to be bring her back later for some future scenario I'm guessing.

My guess is that he'll come back in a future scenario too, seeing as there was a boon concerning him and I had to report whether you were peaceful with him or not.
