Wadreskus Hall |
This is not enough blood for death to have occurred here. Not from these wounds. Someone had to have moved the body. Someone wanted the body to be found here. Don't disturb the body. Should we find the authorities? This may be enough evidence, at least that something else is at play here.
Tessara Omelion PFS |
"This is the site where I found the button as well..."
Tessara Omelion PFS |
I guess we are ready to proceed.
Ryskovich |
Ryskovich would be leery to contact the authorities, given the recent debacle. He would suggest going to follow the traces of blood back to the original spot, or is there a place we have never been to?
Wadreskus Hall |
Wadreskus will see if he can track the traces of blood back to their original location.
Survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
EndlessForms |
The party is unable to trace the blood trail back very far.
You can take your afternoon actions! As you've seen, there will be events that occur at certain intervals.
Wadreskus Hall |
I would like to take another try at following the blood. Perhaps in the afternoon sun I will have a better chance. survival: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23

Chief Avarus |
Avarus quietly follows Tess.
EndlessForms |
Avarus and Tess find nothing new at the fairgrounds and although Wadreskus follows the track away from Otto's farm for a while, the trail eventually dissipates and is lost in the wilderness.
Wadreskus Hall |
The trail of blood goes off into the wilderness, I was able to follow it for a while but lost the trail deep in the woods. How much time do we have left?
Wadreskus Hall |
Once met back up Wadreskus will stay with the rest of the group. He is not much of a combatant himself, but rather a force multiplier.
EndlessForms |
Ryskovich finds that the windows have no locks on them and the ledge is big enough that it would be easy for someone to walk along it.
At some point in the afternoon after Wadreskus has finished following the trail, Otto comes to find the party to tell you that the crime scene has been destroyed.
---
The sun begins to move lower in the sky and as the party is walking the streets and catching up with each other, a random passing villager hands Wadreskus a note. The messenger says, "A small girl told me to give it to you."
Please help. I know you are innocent and that your friends are innocent. The real killer has me trapped in a house at the edge of town, near the fair. It’s the one with white walls and two chimneys. He made me write the letters to trap them and you. He has left to kill again and locked me in the attic. I will try to get one of the children at the fair to bring you this letter.
Please rescue me.
Wadreskus Hall |
Showing the note to the group Wadreskus asks What should we do with this?
Linguistics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
The hand writing looks to be the same.
EndlessForms |
I'll wait to see if everyone agrees with Jerrik or if there are any other plans before moving ahead.
Tessara Omelion PFS |
"I don't like this at all, but what other choice to we have but to follow this obvious trap? The letter doesn't say how they stole my dumb dagger," Tess grumbles.
Ryskovich |
If we go, we need to be cautious. If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck...If it is indeed the same individual to warn about the happenings, then if they ARE wanting to be a help with our employers and wants help to help those wrongly imprisoned, why not bring this up the the proper authorities?
Jerrik Payne |
Sure, we could bring this evidence to the authorities, they may even be able to tell us something about the house that is mentioned. From there we might be able to determine what to do. Perhaps our prisoners might have some idea of who this person might be once they see this new letter.
Chief Avarus |
"There is far too much sneakery happening in this town. i do not trust anyone."
Avarus nods to Jerrik in agreement that the group needs to get to the bottom of this mystery chasing active leads.
EndlessForms |
So it looks like most of you want to follow up on it; if you check with the prisoners first, as Jerrik suggested, they still have no clue as to who wrote it.
The house is two stories tall with part of its ground floor’s space dedicated to cottage industries. The second story is accessible by two twisting stairwells and is broken into a warren of small bedrooms and a central living space. All of the interior doors are ajar, and the windows are cracked about one foot. The exterior of the house is sided with wooden planks.

He turns around just in time to see a dagger materialize out if this air, sliding past his buckler and into his ribs. Oww, where the hell did you come from you... he mutters under his breath. He lashes out with his blade and shield in retaliation.
