Hello everyone! We won't be starting until the 4th but feel free to check into the Gameplay thread.
Tessara Omelion PFS |
I'd love to be in.
Jerrik Payne |
I'd like to try this guy in this game. He just finished Crypt of the Everflame so he's just hitting 2nd level. I'm not sure I'll keep him as a bard but I probably will seeing the scope of the scenario. I'm not sure how well I'll play a bard though.
EndlessForms |
Bards are the best. And my fiancee has a Detective, that's an awesome archetype. You don't have Inspire Courage but everyone seems to appreciate the replacement ability with the bonus to initiative, perception, and disable, especially because at 1 hour per "round" of performance spent, you can keep it up all day after just a few levels. She took a dip into gunslinger to feel even more like a private detective/secret agent. It's a fun character.
Jerrik Payne |
I think I'll go with this setup for the moment, I really don't know what feats to take as a bard since Lingering Performance doesn't really seem to be needed for a detective.
DM Beckett |
I'd like in if there's still room. I also have two players I can't fit in my game if you can take them (before me, too), please.
Wadreskus (Shaman 4) & Avarus (Cavalier 2)
EndlessForms |
1. Tek
2. Tessara
3. Jerrik
4. Ryskovich
5. Wadreskus
6. Avarus
7. DM Beckett
8. Orryn
I appear to have too many. I usually take first-come-first-serve because people stop posting after six but in this instance I'll handle it however you guys want. I can them in order down the list or I can roll for it, whatever you all think is fair.
DM Beckett |
Ill step out, as Im also running it, and let others play.
:)
Chief Avarus |
I have arrived.
Wadreskus Hall |
An older man walks in, his gait slow but purposeful. A hawk lands on his walking stick. His hawk has feathers as dark as night but with little dots of light that seem to move as it moves with the specks of light maintaining their relative positions.
The man seems unremarkable except for his eyes which seem to twinkle with some distant light.
EndlessForms |
I will be gone all day tomorrow and unable to post. I should have internet back by Monday afternoon though. Thanks for your patience!
EndlessForms |
Tessara (4), Jerrik (2), Nicomedes (3), Wadreskus (4), Avarus (2), Ryskovich (2)
APL = 2.8 rounded to 3
With six people that means we play the high tier with four-player adjustments.
MichaelCullen |
You are right, Glorymane is not free, you do have to buy it. If you look at Wadreskus' other gear it's basically all he has. Right now Wadreskus's gear is worth a total of 13770, he hits level 5 after this. His wealth by level is a little high due to having played a couple 3-7s out of tier. They give you about 2300 for out of tier gold.
Nikomedes Diogenes |
Sorry, I was just doing a quick calc in my head of prices and WBL. I was thinking 12,370 for Glorymane, 1000 for the cloak, 810 for the armor, and something like 500 for the greenwood staff. Anyway, I just thought I'd say something, just in case. Hope you didn't take it the wrong way.
MichaelCullen |
I did not take it in a bad way at all, it is hard to tell how people mean things with just text, I always assume the best. I hope others do the same for me as well. Oh and the greenwood staff I bought with my first two PP.
This guy is mostly a support character, moves allies arround the battlefield and such. Because of this he is not very gear dependant so I want to pick options that seem like the most fun.
On an aside thought, since I find myself in such an experianced group, what is your opinion on Shaman's and improved familiars?
Spirit Animal
This ability uses the same rules
as the wizard’s arcane bond class feature and is treated
as a familiar (see pages 78 and 82 of the Core Rulebook),
except as noted below.
.....
.....
If a spirit animal is lost or dies, it can be replaced after
24 hours through a special ritual that consumes material
components worth 500 gp per shaman level. The ritual
takes 8 hours to complete. The new spirit animal must be
of the same sort of creature as the previous one.
Improved Familiar
Prerequisites: Ability to acquire a new familiar, compatible alignment, sufficiently high level (see below).Benefit: When choosing a familiar, the creatures listed here are also available to you. You may choose a familiar with an alignment up to one step away on each alignment axis (lawful through chaotic, good through evil).
Improved familiars otherwise use the rules for regular familiars, with two exceptions: if the creature's type is something other than animal, its type does not change; and improved familiars do not gain the ability to speak with other creatures of their kind (although many of them already have the ability to communicate).

Sorry for the disappearance! Internet service was supposed to have been started at the new house by now but we're still having problems connecting. As soon as we get it fixed I'll be back to normal posting!
