Tolgarov, Maximo has the greater mercy feat.
EF, I'll take a normal movement to get out the door (if they take an AoO, I'm ok with it).
Arnthoth, jut tell your pet to retreat and you can get out and close the door.

Edit: I moved Maximo out the door and all the way back into the lethe house. We'll need to get Zhal and Tolgarov before we get out of here. I suggest you tell the pets to run.

"Okay, let's get these guys fixed up. Depending on how long it will take to revive them, I might be able to protect myself from those things and their electricity."

Can I switch out a daily spell if I get the chance to meditate for an hour? Do we have that kind of time? If not, I'll just get a scroll.

Desmond retrieves his wand and gives himself a few taps. "Thanks for channeling, Maximo."

You can't switch prepared spells but if you were to leave a slot open at the beginning of the day you can then meditate and fill that slot later in the day. One of the big advantages of prepared casters.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

No, you would have just used up that spell. You'd then have to wait until the next day before you could meditate and regain any spells. Basically prepared casting goes: sleep (some classes specifically require 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep but I don't think rangers do), then wake up and meditate/study spellbook/etc and prepare as many spells as you want to up to the number of spell slots you have available that day. As you adventure and use spells they are used up for that day. If you left a slot open when you prepared at the beginning of the day, you could take a break to prepare a spell in that open slot but the slots that have already been cast/expended are gone until the next day.

Kaer Maga is a big city with its choice of temples. Purchase limit shouldn't be an issue either. Just let me know how you're paying for the restorations (PP or GP and whether anyone is chipping in, etc) and once everyone is all fixed up we'll move back in.

That was a most unfortunate and I dare say shocking surprise, my friend. Maximo replies to Desmond as the group drags itself to a temple. "I am uncertain what those creatures were, but they seemed like living balls of lightning. Perhaps one of our weakened companions knows something of them, but regardless, we must seek protection if we hope to defeat them."

I think we could handle this more cheaply with 4 lesser restorations for each (480gp total) rather than a normal restoration each (760gp total).

I also suggest we get at least one scroll of communal resist energy (375gp). Maximo will probably buy another as a backup.

We might also want a scroll of communal protection from energy (700gp, but might be better purchased with prestige).

Since we are buying scrolls, Maximo will buy one of summon monster I as well.

When the others are getting restored, Maximo will take some time to brew up another mutagen, and will use it, along with bardic performance, when we return to the lethe house.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

By description, Zhal thinks he knows what the creatures may have been:

These are Will-o'-Wisps! They are small aberrations that are naturally invisible (can turn themselves invisible as a move action). They feed on fear and gain fast healing when near a dying creature or one subject to a fear effect. They are also immune to magic (spells and SLA that allow SR).

Not only are these Will-o'-Wisps, but they are Ancient War Wisps. They are immune to electricity and are always electrified; any creature attacking with a natural weapon, unarmed strike, or melee weapon made primarily of metal takes electricity damage when attacking a War Wisp. They can also transform into lightning.

Correct me if I am wrong, they are only immune to spells that allow spell resistance. Since Purge has no save, and SR is not allowed nor mentioned, then I believe that it is fair game to assume that it functions as normal.
