Rusty gives everyone a ride up the vertical shaft! The shaft bisects a horizontal cavern and continues upward. Jagged, human-sized, ice-covered stalagmites fill the cavern floor. Every so often, a rough and frigid cross-breeze whips through this passage from west to east. Severe wind.

As the party assembles themselves and takes stock of the chamber, a bucket flies out from behind a stalagmite, blood flowing out as a head rolls from the overturned bucket and falls down the shaft to the frozen lake below.

The passage opens into a series of natural labyrinthine catacombs. Their tangled walls are slicked with layers of ice that hideously entomb dozens of humanoid corpses—mostly tribal folk or villagers—in various states of decay. Some look hundreds of years old, others more recent.
