As Daxius swings his sword, Nicolai's shot is thrown off course and skids along the sewer wall.

The goblin archer fires a retaliatory shot against Janniven:

The scars in her ear and on her back burn. Her breaths come hard and fast. Her fear threatens to choke her. Her hand trembles from gripping it so hard. Tension from fear, from a lifetime of fear, pulls her to the breaking point. Seconds seem to last hours. All she can her is the blood rushing in her ears.

Something breaks.

She turns to the Armiger, a fire in her eyes. A fire that has turned her into a different person.

"We saved you, you owe us your life. Guard the boy with it."

her tone makes it clear that this is not a request. She next turns to Janniven. "I'll need your help if we are going to go save are friend." And with that she was off, the fear burned away, and smile on her lips.

The goblins no longer seemed so scary, how odd.

And hopefully I haven't just gotten us in trouble. Okay burning my point now for an extra move action.

The archer goblin is pierced through the chest by a second arrow.

After a momentary gurgle he slumps against the tunnel wall, his life blood slowly leaking away.

This hasn't worked yet, but Pontia steps 5' to her right and tries her acid dart again. She takes a calming breath and focuses her arcane power. This time, the dart strikes true, burning a sizzling trail across the goblin's body. Yes! The conjurer smiles in satisfaction.

To hit with acid dart ranged touch attack against the goblin at B-13 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4

Pontia's dart of acid sizzles through the air and burns a vicous hole in the goblin's face.

It screeches in anger and races forward, all snarls and swinging dogslicer, to strike at Pontia

Meanwhile, the goblin at the rear cries out in anger

Convinced that his opponent is dangerously unhinged, Daxius considers his attack to be something like a mercy killing. "Can't you speak a civilized language, savage?"

Nicolai quickly loads his crossbow, cursing silently for missing, and aims at the goblin Daxius is finishing off.

If the goblin isn't killed by Daxius, Nico will fire. If not, he won't fire and move behind Pontia...is that permissible?

With the crazed goblin making little attempt to parry, Daxius times his swing to carve through the goblin and drop him to the floor.

Seeing the foe stumble, Nicolai picks his way past the armiger and Morosino, cradling his loaded crossbow. Using Nicolai's attack roll for his acrobatics.

Whoops, that's embarrassing. I'm normally good at noticing things like that. Sorry for holding everything up.

Astra's HP: 4/7

"AAAAHHHHHH!" The hit shreds Astra's tunic, staining it red with her blood. Her breath comes through gritting teeth as she punches out again trying to score a hit on the elusive goblin.

Attack: 1d20 ⇒ 2 Neeeeeeeope.

"We need some one who can hit these damn things!" Astra calls back as she swings wide. Her voice is steadier than it has been since the beginning of the flight to the safe house, despite the bleeding gash across her belly.

Alright, I guess just apply the -4 on the shot, as it’s already a miss, and ask Pontia to fall behind me. By the way, can I do a Knowledge check on the creature?

Daxius uses his monster lore to get some intel on this thing. I know It's a bit meta-gamey, but the image showed that the creature was undead, so I'll use Know (religion). I also have Know (dungeoneering) at +5.

Whatever he learns about the monster, Daxius casts Ear-Piercing Scream, attacking the foul creature with damaging sonics that only it can hear.

Ear-Piercing Scream (DC 14): You unleash a powerful scream, inaudible to all but a single target. The target is dazed for 1 round and takes 1d6 points of sonic damage per two caster levels (maximum 5d6). A successful fortitude save negates the daze effect and halves the damage.

Is that the armiger between Daxius and the monster, or the kid? Or both? One of them seems missing from the map.

Nicolai's arrow flies wide as he calls out to Pontia. Meanwhile, Daxius' magic ripples past Morosino and the armiger, ripping visibly at the flesh of the strange creature. It continues to cast its gaze back and forth, seemingly undisturbed by the damage done to it.

The goblin facing Astra tries to press home its advantage by throwing a pocketful of sand into her face.

Janniven misses but the goblin does not, Astra is blinded by a face full of sand and dirt move action to wipe face clean.

Astra's eyes sting as the grit gets in them. She raises a hand to quickly wipe the sand away. Her frustration is clear on her face as she stabs at the goblin again.

Seeing that the ledge behind Nicolai is too crowded for her to retreat past him, Pontia will take a 5' step onto the plank bridge (to G12) and take another swing at the goblin. This time she manages to land a solid blow on her foe.

Pontia's foe snarls in pain as her staff smashes into its ribs, yet the little brute keeps its feet and swings for her.

Daxius slides his club from its belt loop and hands it to the armiger. "Do not betray the trust I have placed in you," he intones sternly. He then places his hand on the man's chest, stirring up a battle rage in his heart. "Let us defeat this undead abomination!"

Battle Rage - War Domain Granted Power (Sp): You can touch a creature as a standard action to give it a bonus on melee damage rolls equal to 1/2 your cleric level for 1 round (minimum +1). You can do so a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

The armiger faces the strange beast with a look of grim determination.

Nicolai looks back at the abominable creature and back to Hyrngot lying on the floor, Nicolai pulls out a vial and quaffs it quickly, feeling the elixer protect him. He moves toward next to Astra, hoping Daxius and the armiger can hold off the odd beast.
