Alistair Cooper |
Snipers Alistair announces to the group indicating thier location by aiming his pistol to take a shot at the closest target
Fire at closest crossbowman 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 (touch attack if withing 20')
If a hit damage: 1d8 ⇒ 8
after taking the shot Alistair takes some cover among the growth in the courtyard. and rotates the barrel of his pistol in postion for a second shot.

Round 1 Khaldrun, Legionnaires, Kirsteen, Cooper,Scab, Jaldan, Torsk, Lanfear...
Khaldrun the Rapid |
Using his new blazing speed Khaldrun dashes forward coming to a halt between the lions L15 and says,
"Let us divide and conquer. Subminolumuc!" Mist swallows him and the two rear legionnaires, and while his foes can see nothing he shifts reappearing inside the greenery frame still hidden by the mists. N16
A moderate wind (11+ mph), such as from a gust of wind spell, disperses the fog in 4 rounds. A strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round. A fireball, flame strike, or similar spell burns away the fog in the explosive or fiery spell's area. A wall of fire burns away the fog in the area into which it deals damage.
Can we get grid positions for the enemies? Khaldrun is aiming to catch the rear two in the mist, but leave the front two free. If this isn't possible please let me know and I'll adjust my actions accordingly.
My reasoning is that this will allow us to deal with the first two, and force the others to move so they cannot reload their crossbows. Khaldrun can always dismiss the mist at the top of next round if they try to hide in it.

I just uploaded Khal's upgrades, however I do not have all of those neat editing features I saw in Lanfear's example. The way i play it is for surprise round, whoever beats the enemies gets an attack/move or something and then after that the enemies go and then initiative is done for round 1... If you want you can roll your own initiative if you feel youre luckier than the GM... Your characters can be located anywhere between L and M 22 through 28 to start.
GM You should create it as a drawing and insert image...that way we can add in out character icons and its movable.
Lanfear Xinskarr The Hydra |
Anyway I realised i cannot attack with all 4 weapons for two weapon fighting. I changed to 2 hands wielding a greatsword and another holding a shield and another holding a tekko kagi.
How dare you attack me!! Die wretch soul!!
Lanfear charged towards the nearest Legionaire as she leaps up and slams down the blade into the torso of the guard.
Attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15 Charge bonus
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 3) + 7 = 11
My AC is now 23 due to charge penalty
GMEDWIN |
Legionnaire 1 attacks Cooper with crossbow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 miss
The bolt hits an overhanging branch and gets deflected.
Legionnaire 2 attacks Lanfear with her crossbow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 hit to confirm crit, 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 no, 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
The bolt sails true striking Lanfear in her left upper shoulder.
Poison Fortitude Save DC18 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30pass
Legionnaire 3 attempts to remember target location greater than 50 hit due to mist 1d100 ⇒ 12 cannot remember where target was, goes into stealth 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19and moves.
Legionnaire 4 attacks Torsk with her scimitar 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12 miss
She swings at the half-orc but misses once again.
Kirsteen Cooper,Scab, Jaldan, Torsk, Lanfear.

Alistair ducks and shiftys to snother treee for cover hopefully closer to the one that shot at him he then takes aim a nd shoots at him

damage 1d8 ⇒ 6
Stealth (sniping from behind a tree) 1d20 + 9 - 20 ⇒ (20) + 9 - 20 = 9
Torsk |
I know I am posting out of turn, but if my current enemy drops before my attacks resolves then I will simply repost :)
Seeing the enemy in front of him swing wildly, Torsk takes his opportunity to land a few blows in response to the outward display of agression.
Regular Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29
Fist Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
--------------------------------------
Haste Attack: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21
Fist Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (1) + 10 = 11
Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
---------------------------------
HP: 46/46
AC: 16
GMEDWIN |
I really don't know what Kirsteen would do, so I will keep it simple.
Kirsteen takes out her scimitar and moves to flank attack the one attacking Torsk 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 2 = 25 damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Cooper's second shot strikes the legionnaire in the side.
Mithral Scab attacks the Legionnaire who attacked Lanfear with her crossbow 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 and the bolt misses.
Jaldan attacks the legionnaire after Cooper with her shock Greataxe 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20 damage 1d12 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 and electricity 1d6 ⇒ 5. Jaldan's great axe hacks deep into the Legionnaire's armor, shocking him as well. He is bloodied.
Torsk lands a two-punch combination of a right cross and a left hook.
Lanfear takes a great swing but the Legionnaire is able to dodge her blow.

I thought you picked N16 and the other three are the smilie faces on the map. Noone put an icon on the map other than me putting the enemies. Torsk and Kirsteen is fighting M22, Jaldan and Cooper are on I22 and Lanfear charged H16.
Khaldrun the Rapid |
Link just takes me to my list of previously viewed and shared maps, including the two blank ones from this game - orig and my redone one. I cannot see or access anything named Sothan Lodge I'm afraid. Also please, please start using URL tags its such a pain in the bum to copy and paste the link especially on my phone.
Torsk |
I placed the icons as best I could, if I made any glaring errors I do apologize and please adjust accordingly :)
Also question DM, how bad off does the bad guy on me look? By my count Kirsteen and I have dealt 60 points of damage and the enemy is still standing? They can die right?? lol
Torsk |
Base strength is 20, belt of giant strength gives me 22 which is +6. Dragon Style gives me 1.5 times strength for every hit, which becomes +9. +1 Flaming Amulet of Mighty Fists gives me an extra unmodified +1 = 1d8+10 :) My math is correct, 60 damage...so she is down again :)
Sorry if I am making things difficult for you. You want me to go easier on the baddies ;)
Khaldrun the Rapid |
Perfect! Yay!
Khaldrun strides out of the mists surveys the scene before him and chants,
"Noitacirbul emetxe!" hurling a gobbit of transluscent grease up against the wooden frame to coat the feet of Lanfear's foe from the cover of the doorway.
Casts grease covering the four squares at 15 and 16 G and H. Hoping to give Lanfear a +4 on her whirlwind of blades :)
A grease spell covers a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any creature in the area when the spell is cast must make a successful Reflex save or fall. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). Creatures that do not move on their turn do not need to make this check and are not considered flat-footed.
Perception to check there's nobody hiding in the building thing: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
GMEDWIN |
Legionnaire Reflex save 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 fail, she falls down.
Khaldrun does not find anyone hiding where he is looking.
Legionnaire 1 attacks Jaldan with a scimitar 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 misses
Legionnaire 2 attacks Lanfear with her crossbow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9 misses
Legionnaire 3 stealthily makes his way out of the mist.
Kirsteen Cooper, Scab, Jaldan, Torsk, Lanfear.
Alistair Cooper |
Alistair moves closer to the remaining enemy not engaged in melee ducking and manuvering among the foliage for cover from crossbow shots.
He finally takes a position behind a bush and takes his first shot from pistol #2
Shot ranged touch on enemy at N16 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
damage 1d8 ⇒ 7
Alistair Cooper |
does this mean that I did not have a target to shoot at? and where is the mist covering. If the enemey I was going after isn't there can I see enough to even move safely? Also the haste really does no good since the mist also obscured the enemy from our sight as well so I can move but don't know where the enemy is and I can attack but i don't have a target.
Torsk |
My original damage calculation was correct. We did 60 damage to her so is she down or standing? Also if I charge an enemy will I get me extra atack from haste since I am doing a full round action?
GMEDWIN |
My reading of the rule would be that you can charge double distance of normal... Fine she is down... she has exactly 60 hp, if its 60 she is down.
Kirsteen moves to attack the Legionnaire in combat with Jaldan 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 1 = 20 damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Her scimitar cuts the legionnaire deep.
Torsk |
Hmph, where did your friend go? They no wanna fight since they don't have advantage no more?
Perception to notice where other enemies are: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Attack enemy with flanking bonus from Jaldan and haste: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 30
Unarmed Damage: 1d8 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Alistair Cooper |
I will shoot nobody since i cannot see any and I don't want to risk shooting a party member
Khaldrun the Rapid |
You realize its not actually possible to shoot your own party member right? Doesn't happen on a natural 1, its just a -4 to hit. Also you have a +1 scimitar +1 to hit and an additional +4 against the one who got greased, you would also get an extra attack next turn if in position. The obscuring mist imo is still serving us well, they cannot shoot without revealing themselves and they cannot move and shoot their crossbows. Khaldrun will dismiss it next round if necessary.
Jaldan was a wizard right? Did I miss something?
Torsk |
Don't forget Jaldan has flanking from me so she gets another +2 to hit making it 17 :)
EDIT: oh yeah...forgot about the initiative order lol...oh well i don't envision the bad guy standing for too much longer lol

yes I realize that I am just playing the way this character sometimes thinks (or lack of thinking) he is at times the kind of guy that just jumps in with the first idea he has then deakls with the consequences after. besides seems more fun this way
Khaldrun the Rapid |
Oh, I'm a little surprised by that statement, I though Alistair was an experienced Guard Captain?
Khaldrun, seeing Alistair looking lost in the fog and conflict calls,
"Is that sword for ornamental purposes only Captain? If not I suggest you make use of it!"

picture the scene in The Mummy. I made captain becuase my superior was no longer available to perform his duties. and besides why do think he has been assigned crappy duties (like guarding a merchant road that almost never has any bandit activity)
on a side note I was unsure what the layout of the scene was, and never realized about the mist until later. seems I lost track of the action
DM Carpe |
Lanfear should be in a position to take a full attack, and gets an extra attack with her greatsword at her full bonus, +1 for haste. I'm not sure how the two weapon thing works with 4 arms, so I'll simply presume she makes two attacks with her greatsword. From her sheet the bonus to hit should be +12 with a further +4 not +7 - deduct if I'm missing something. I'd also suggest power attack, for a character who has it should be virtually mandatory against a prone foe, which would mean an extra 3 damage on her first attack - which is already much lower than if she'd power attacked anyway.
Lanfear Haste Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 12 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 12 + 4 - 1 = 17Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 2) + 10 = 17
Khaldrun dismisses the fog with a click of his fingers.
GMEDWIN |
Legionnaire 1 takes a five foot step away from the melee and casts Cure Moderate Wounds 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (6, 6) + 6 = 18
Legionnaire 2 attacks Lanfear with her crossbow 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25 damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 plucking her in the calf.
Poison DC 18 Fortitude: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 pass
Legionnaire 3 has withdrawn.
Kirsteen, Cooper,Scab, Jaldan, Torsk, Lanfear.
Alistair Cooper |
Out of loaded ammo at the moment Alistair holsters his pistol and moves toward Legionnaire #1 identifying that one as a spellcster, drawing his scimitar as he approaches
not sure if I get an attack this round but just in case 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
damage if a hit 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
