Finally got around to making a star wars character. I really love the way they overlay the map over top the screen so that you can see where you are heading to while you are running.
It is Jason's theory that hardcore griefers will head to the PvP only servers and the hardcore carebears will head to the RP only servers, so that by going to a combined server we will hopefully miss the most annoying of each.
Also, green skin + purple make-up = hot twi'lek. :)

makes me wish I had more time for such things.

Ven Zallow, Empire side. Going to play some today, my poor little chick is still only level 6. Slow going for me since I haven't had a lot of playing time. Probably won't get to play at all on Sunday. I work tonight 11p to 7a and odds are good that I'll have to work over into day shift as well which means when I get home I will be sleeping instead of playing. Obviously I will not be doing anything fun for New Years eve.
Oh, character's name is Ermizhad. Same name I use for my email address.

No change has yet occurred, but I am putting a mark toward evil for each of your characters based on that last encounter.
These soldiers clearly have no control over their actions and yet were slaughtered all the same.
To me, this is not the work of heroes. I will hear counter-arguments if anyone cares to justify a decision not to use non-lethal damage.
Again, no actual alignment shift has happened. However, I feel it is fair to let players know when their actions effect their alignment.

Counter Argument just for the heck of it.
They're soldiers deep in the citadel, right next to the supposed Queen's chambers, the chamber of DOOM. We pop in, they pull weapons. First fight that starts, no indication that they are anything but the Queen's loyal guards. Wasn't till after a few were fillet that there was any sort of hesitation in their eyes, but most would just see it as "Holy hell, these guys are good, do we fight them, run, or get reamed by the queen?" So they stayed and fight. And died. Wasn't till that last bit where the one guy gets flung toward Armen's sword that there was blunt indication that they had no control over their actions.

Exactly what I was thinking except I was too hung over to form a cohesive sentence this morning when I read it.

So we are supposed to risk them raising an alarming and getting us all killed on the chance that an entire squad of guards are all ok with overthrowing their leader? If it were just a couple that we could have subdued quietly and then talked to them and made them a choice without risk of detection, that would have been different.
GM DSP |
That is a valid point.
However, if I may? Nonlethal damage still renders them unable to raise an alarm, and since they had no armor on, the penalty to hit is mitigated.
The notion of choice is so far impossible. I agree that fighting was the only option here, but why slaughter them?
I'll tell you what? No mark against you guys on this one. Maybe this will serve as a reference point for goodness?

Hello everyone, I am very sorry to intrude on your discussion thread, just a quick question for Kayla Adrianas :
Will you be continuing your campaign with us under your alias : Kaylee Veridian? (DM Bloodgarglers rescued campaign)
Sorry again for intruding on your discussion thread and sorry if this was too blunt of me to ask.

My wife knows how you feel...
I got laid off by an evil, scheming man yesterday.
My advice, aka what I try to do, spend every extra second you have together. Snuggle watching a movie, eat dinner when the kids are asleep or out playing. Use this time to "date" again.
I bet it sounds weird, but it works.

Still interested. Having a rough patch irl right now, as it sounds others are. Lost one of my cats yesterday and it's hitting me pretty hard. On top of it, my wife lost a relative the same day, so now she's out of town.
So, still here and still interested.
That said, I'm also feeling that my character isn't all that effective but I could just be bummed that he hasn't performed very well recently. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

He's going into the Army and his job will be cryptolinguist. After he finishes basic we will be heading out to California for additional training in whatever language he has to learn.
I have never been to Cali before.
I have. The weather is fantastic.
I have to assume he's going to learn Farsi if he has any talent at it. I think that's the most needed language right now.
Basic isn't so bad. After the first two weeks you get into a daily pattern and your brain shifts to autopilot. It turns into just waiting for your next meal.
You should make it a point to write him a lot. At least every day or two. It doesn't have to be lengthy, but those letters get very meaningful after you've been yelled at for a month solid. lol

We will be in Monterey. Does he live anywhere near there? I will totally try to find something ninja themed to bring him if so.
Just don't call hiim "Jody." Even if that is his name.
p.s. Your husband will understand that joke after he gets back from basic. ;-)
