Hengist awakens with a groan, and slowly picks himself up as Hamith uses the wand to close his wounds. "I thank thee, Hamith," he says. His voice remains hoarse. "There was greater peril in this Black Echelon than I knew."

For several minutes, as the others pick themselves up and prepare to head out, he simply sits, listening to the sound of the organ and meditating, eyes closed and a slight frown on his face. But finally he stands and follows the others out of the cathedral, uncharacteristically quiet.

You rush out of the city proper, towards the Pyramid of the Dog, hoping to stop Nessian before he can unleash further havoc with the Codebook of the Silent Tide.

Thanks to Grandmaster Torch's map, you are able to find your way to Nessian's decrepit stronghold without too much trouble in the morning light. You're still a fair distance away, but even from here you can see That the so-called pyramid consists of four ancient, battered siege towers, three of which have collapsed inward toward the largest, forming a giant, tepee-like wreck. Each leaning tower bears a makeshift guardhouse, though from here you can't make out if anyone's keeping watch this morning.

The ground surrounding the Pyramid is mostly barren, dotted by a few sizable sea-boulders, and a post sticking up out of the ground.

I believe I can charge if I only go up to my speed, which is exactly how far I need to go.

The dog is on a rope that keeps it from getting far from the pole, but right now it focuses on lunging for Dru. It savages her, but she's able to keep her feet despite its ferocity.
