GM Crunch |
The encounters featuring your friends the Pure Legion were quite a lot easier than the others, especially given their almost complete lack of healing. Also, their tactics are not the smartest and they aren't supposed to retreat or surrender.
Cirri Merryweather |
If we had a way to counter deeper darkness this would have been an easy scenario. At least that was a fun encounter.
It's amazing how many encounters in PFS scenarios have "Morale: They fight to the death."
GM Crunch |
Yeah. The Alexandrite Gem from the Wounded Whisp could have helped there, but the darkness helped balance out the encounter. The rats were scary for a moment, I thought Karos might drown, but then I realized he'd wake up upon taking damage.
If it doesn't really make sense in that instance, I tend to ignore the tactic. The rats? Sure, that makes sense, they're starving. The Legionnaires and smigglers? No, they can surrender, on my divine authority.
GM Crunch |
Sounds good! I should be ready to start whenever everyone else is. A thing I should note here, in case I forget later, is that the map for the next one has 10-foot squares.
GM Crunch |
Did I miss the chronicles?
Aaaaand I forgot about the Chronicles. Should be done shortly, I can work on them now. I will also report the scenario.
Cirri Merryweather |
I'm in a season 0 scenario with 15 foot squares, rendering it impossible to judge distance.
GM Crunch |
I believe I successfully reported the scenario, please tell me if it doesn't show up. Now, on to the Chronicles! I believe no one is Slow track?
Also, Cirri, you have not used your reroll. Would you like to do so on your Day Job?
Edit: Chronicles are just about done, here! All I need is Cirri's day job and confirmation that I'm not insane and have butchered your sheets. Then comes the time for purchases and we'll be ready to get this heretical party started again!
The Amazing Vanzetti |
Oh, I have a folio reroll now! I'll give that a shot.
Perform (Acting): 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (11) + 17 = 28 *shrug*
And I'm level 7 now!
Karos Valdian |
Thanks, GM!
I thought I'd already posted this:
Introduction:
Name: Karos Valdian
Player: Tarondor (Scott Nolan)
PFS Number: 2405-8
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Day Job (Craft (alchemy)): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Cirri Merryweather |
I'll keep my roll.
GM Crunch |
I would indeed! Once everyone is ready, I believe I'm good to start the next scenario.
Edit: Actually, not quite ready. I don't have access to a computer proper as it's a weekend, and my final Eyes session meets in a few hours. Hopefully that goes well.
GM Crunch |
Have added the FJC thingies to your sheets, Shandra and Matsu. If anyone else has anything they might want added, feel free to ask. Now, let us start the second scenario, but disregard the part where I previously said you went back to Absalom. You have been in Manaket, Rahadoum all week (which allow slavery and has 5,000+ residents, in case it matters to anyone).
Cirri Merryweather |
Cirri will purchase a scroll of Invisibility and Hide from Undead. She'll hand the scroll to Karos if he accepts it. That's 50 gp total.

Unless you have some wacky way to get a very large discount, that's 175 gp (and would have to be two separate scrolls, to the extent that that matters) - invisibility is a 2nd-level spell, and those cost 150 gp. Hide from undead is a Cleric spell, so of course that will have to come from the black market.
Cirri Merryweather |
Hmpf, there I go, forgetting rules and fluff already :P
I don't have access to the Black Market, so a 150 gp scroll of invisibility will have to do. Never mind, Karos.
GM Crunch |
You can still buy divine spells without special abilities and whatnot, but I suppose if you feel like upholding the law (that is to say, without turning in your divine spellcasting party mates in for execution)...
Cirri Merryweather |
Yeah, I shouldn't turn in other party members. I'll just buy the invisibility scroll.
Devoured by ghouls
Karos Valdian |
This week has been filled with taxes (mine and my mother's), making offers on a house and my oldest son's fourth birthday (today). So, no appearances from me until tomorrow, probably.
GM Crunch |
No problem, my rate has also been slowed. I work, if you can call it that, at a school, which is where I use the computer to post. But it is currently spring break, a mixed blessing in that regard.
The Amazing Vanzetti |
A) Not I, not as such, specifically.
B) The DM did say you know more or less where it's standing.
C) Magic isn't the only way to deal with an invisible enemy. If anyone has something like sand/powder/flour, they could dump that on it (it would probably just last a round or two before sloughing off, but still), or failing that, a jug of milk or wine or sufficient quantity of ink could either be poured on it or on the floor to track its footprints.
D) Come to think of it, I DO have a 1-oz. vial of black ink...could that do any good, DM?
Cirri Merryweather |
If he smells, I can track him by scent.
If anyone has glitterdust that will also ferret him out. Otherwise we gotta surround it and DPS the crap out of it.
GM Crunch |
Most things do smell, so trying to scent him out would work for you at least, Cirri. I'd rule the ink would work, V, but not for very long. The powder item from the APG is more suitable if anyone has any, or some form of magic.
The Amazing Vanzetti |
Where's your companion, Shandra? A wolf would have no problem fitting down here.
Also, I've been wondering: Why the "militant feminism?" Sexism's pretty rare in Golarion, and only in a handful of cultures does it hold much sway (I've heard vague scuttlebutt about Asmodeus having issues with females, which seems out of character for such an ancient and powerful deity, and if I'm not mistaken, I think this is another setting in which the Dark Elves are harshly matriarchal). Most Golarionites would find fault with you for exhibiting it (or a bit more likely, just be bemused by your very strange choice of prejudice).
Cirri Merryweather |
Also, aren't we in a room full of fabrics and pillows? There should be a blanket in here somewhere. Someone who's not in combat, take a look!
GM Glyn |
Marra found a boon from a chronicle that allows her to cast see invisible. Unfortunately action economy prevents her from attacking this round.
The Amazing Vanzetti |
DM, I don't suppose you'd allow me to do this when I'm unconscious?
GM Crunch |
Certainly, now that he's conscious. Wouldn't do to have our fine friend Verdizaam's attention on you, V, but he's a little too preoccupied to notice right now, what with him getting beaten to re-death.
Cirri Merryweather |
GM, can an Int check help on these riddles? I'm terrible with them, but Cirri has a 16 Int!
GM Crunch |
Sure, if you succeed I can give you a clue. This riddle can be really frustrating.
The Amazing Vanzetti |
I like riddles. I may well have been able to figure that one out on my own - the main obstacle would have been the quite real possibility I'd see the correct answer and think 'no, too easy....'
GM Crunch |
Okay, tomorrow I will be at a mini-con for basically all day. I should be able to finish Chronicles and be prepped for the final segment shortly thereafter. If I remember correctly, no one is slow track. And will this level anyone up?
The Amazing Vanzetti |
I just got my level last adventure, so no.
Cirri Merryweather |
Cirri will be level 6! And she'll be taking a familiar.
GM Crunch |
Cool! I ask in case it changes our subtier, which I will figure out later.
@Shandra: Yes.
