Citadel Altieren Grid Map

Investigating the rooms you guys find the north eastern room appears to be a study or office. This chamber contains enough chairs, pillows, and desks to accommodate at least six visitors. An examination of the table in the southwest corner reveals a neatly penned letter.

You guys find the first note laying atop another one written in a different hand. One seems to be from Fimbirk the other a note taken from Adolphus.

Searching the rest of the room you guys also find a few old stale potions that might still have some magical potency despite their age and slight congealing.

By completing the various leads left in Selmius Foster’s niche under the Wounded Wisp, you guys have gathered the necessary information to know Eylysia has a repository of her own under the Shrine.

As you guys come up to the Starstone, there is a large crowd gathered outside the entrance to the Starstone!

Asking someone in the crowd they quickly tell you that Sir Reinhart, a Mendevian crusader is intent on becoming a god, and is about to attempt the Test of the Starstone.

The city guard and what few caretakers the shrine has have left to watch Sir Reinhart’s ill-fated attempt.

Erected centuries ago by an unknown organization, the Shrine of the Failed is a dour complex that pays homage to those who failed in their attempts to overcome the Test of the Starstone.

The building houses numerous altars, each dedicated to a specific failed aspirant. Black-robed acolytes protect, clean, and maintain the halls as well as the few trinkets left behind by the aspirants.

The shrine is a stone edifice with several levels that contain altars to the failed aspirants. The rest of the shrine is closed because the caretakers have stepped away to watch the aspirant make his attempt.

This monumental chamber stretches eighty feet from end to end, with a ceiling suspended thirty feet from the floor by great pillars. Seven arched passages lead to humble rooms, each of which contains a polished stone altar dedicated to one of the failed aspirants who attempted the Test of the Starstone.

Each of these chambers contains a small stone altar to one of the failed aspirants. Each altar stands upon a raised dais and bears a small brass nameplate identifying the aspirant and the would-be-god’s areas of interest.

Each of the small alcoves in this section of the Shrine does indeed bear a name plate, one in the far corner matches the name circled by Fimbirk, one "Hollis 'Evil Grin' Thorne", a failed aspirant.

As Bartimaeus examines that particular shrine he notices an illusion covering a hidden switch, pressing it reveals a fake wall that leads into an unfinished stone cavern area.

He draws his greatsword and, with his darkvision scouts the cavern. In the cramped space, he feels almost at home, reminiscent of the dusty caves where he once called home.

"Dwarf eyes are a boon in this environment, yes?"

Heading through the cavern network, its pretty easy to tell that this cavern is not completely natural, it was likely carved out using magics rather than more traditional means.

A dim light grows steadily brighter as you guys near the end. Several desks are arranged along the northern and eastern edges of this smallstone alcove. Whereas the stonework leading to this chamber is rough, the walls in the alcove are polished. A single gem rests among the neatly filed papers on the desk, emitting a soft luminescence that
brightens the small room.

The paperwork on the desk is a priceless collection of Pathfinder Society lore and information describing dozens of unexplored sites. Most are written in an Azlanti dialect further encrypted using an old cipher employed by the Society centuries ago.

True scope of their discovery requires several weeks of careful study by researchers at the Grand Lodge.

It looks like a group of cloaked individuals, a bronze clasp in the shape of an aspis holds their cloaks together! Its a dwarf cleric, two human barbarian looking fellows and an Elf Wizard! The Wizard calls out to the group, "Hand over your precious treasure trove of information, Pathfinder Agents! The Aspis is better suited to going through whatever information you have," he says with a sneer.

Mordack moves out into the opening and fires a spell but ends up sending it roofward missing entirely. Durlo moves up to reinforce Mordack before studying a Barbarian!

Grigor attempts to hold the backline and fires off his trusty crossbow but can't hit an enemy combatant. Hannah doesn't suffer that same problem as she unloads her rifle, blowing one of the barbarians heads to bits in a gory display of black powder power.

Bartimaeus blesses the group while Sigrid chuggs forward swinging her flail and holding it ready to defend Hannah if any enemy's come close.

The Remaining Barbarian roars, flying into a rage and his eyes dash wildly as he choose his target. Durlo(1), Mordack(2), Sigrid(3), Hannah(4): 1d4 ⇒ 1 And as if he would attack anyone else he charges forward, swinging his greatclub with all his might!

The evoker Wizard snarls in disgust at Hannah's firearm prowess and sends a magic missile flying her way!

Sigrid surges forward swinging her flail winding it up and then unloading it on the Dwarf, hurting and crunching his armor with a powerful blow!

Bartimaeus rushes to his Dwarf friend's aid, healing his wound!

Hannah blasts the wizard, returning fire while Mordack blasts the barbarian in the back with a powerful snowball!

Grigor moves forward, reloading his crossbow as he does!

The Barbarian takes a step and goes to smash at Mordack!

The Evoker fires back at Hannah with a Force Missile!

Um to be clear, I was aiming at the elf figurine all the way on the right side of the screen. Which I think is a wizard, unless that really is a barbarian in the back.
Anyway, I think death save is an order con: 2 + 1d20 - 6 ⇒ 2 + (1) - 6 = -3

Sigrid rushes forward to Durlo and Mordack's aid in fighting the Barbarian and bashes the raging barbarian with her flail doing some serious damage.

Hannah blasts the Dwarf Cleric with her musket!

Grigor attempts to shoot another crossbow bolt but it pings off one of the columns. Durlo grabs his greatsword and stands up, ready for more.

The Barbarian tries his hand at knocking down Sigrid as the current biggest threat.

GM, I think hannah is only down 5. Since the evoker wizard was taken out prior to its acting. The second one would not have did the extra two. Unless I missed something.

Hannah takes a five foot step back from the cleric's blade, shove another cartridge in and fires this one from the hip.

Bartimaeus continues to do his duty and heals Durlo. This time around, the wand is much more eager to release it's energy and Durlo's wounds heal significantly. "Put him down Durlo!"

I'm just turning them negative in image options, it makes a good contrast to quickly know who is up and who is down for player characters.

Hannah you are correct, only down 5, I forgot to fix that

Bartimaeus infuses Durlo with healing energy, hopefully enough to withstand this raging Aspis Barbarian!
