And so you head off to the place theater of tragedy.

Act 1: The Cathedral of Aroden.

The Cathedral of Aroden is a massive stone structure overlooking central Almas. Two solid towers flanking a pair of enormous bronze doors dominate the facade. The doors, with their glittering bronze carvings of Aroden’s
ascension to godhood, welcomed the faithful in times past, but they now lead into Telfyr’s massive library. Above the doors stands a roughly circular stained-glass window with delicate looping stonework, a style known as a rose window.

Proceeding to the side and try Fillian's suggestion, or something else?

Silver Crusade

This is a lovely building but I still prefer worshiping out in the open sky. Admiring the building from a distance, Ala'Ihys points out the team. "It is a lovely edifice, and I would love to admire it closer, but for now should we not swing wide around to the northwest corner so we can cut through the plaza unseen?" As he speaks, Ala'Ihys begins to look for a way to swing wide to avoid prying eyes.

Did you bring explosives? Or a couple of giants? :)

Ala'Ihys notices nothing remarkable, aside from the proper architecture.

You all, albeit wobbly for Ala'Ihys, make the climb and end up at the top.
-------------------------------------------
The belfry contains nine large bells hanging from a maze of wooden beams. Four relatively small bells hang from a beam at the tower’s top, with the others increasing in size toward the tower’s bottom. Weather and rust coat most of them, especially the seven-foot-wide behemoth of a bell at
the tower’s base. A complex network of scaffolding frames the bells, with each suspended from wooden sliders attached to a system of ropes and pulleys along the tower’s walls. These beams connect to scaffolding along the vertical chamber’s perimeter, allowing access to the bells above and a platform five feet below the giant bell’s bottom.

You find yourselves 10 feet above the base of the lowermost bell
and a further 5 feet above the solid platform below. Climbing down requires DC 5 climb.

Everybody but Joseph is deafened for 3 minutes.
You find yourselves on a ledge above the Congregation Hall. (Area 3)

At the southern end of the congregation hall, an ornate choir loft sits twenty feet above the ground, joined to the narrow balcony encircling the nave and dome. The richly decorated wall panels depict scenes of strangely dressed men, while the low marble balustrade shows human figures celebrating. Many of these scenes have suffered recent damage, with stone shards and a broken bannister littering the floor. Several smashed glass cases line the room, numerous swords of widely varying styles and construction poking out of them. Along the Cathedral’s south wall, a ten-foot-wide rose window glitters with the sun, bathing the loft in light. A number of red figures surround a strange white shape against the window’s blue background.
A spiral staircase leads down and a pair of doors lead east
and west.

Kn. History/Religion DC 15:

The scene should, to common sense, depict the raising of the Starstone, but the figures’ hands are positioned in such a way that they appear to be lowering the artifact instead of raising it.

Take 20 in perception for clues (26 Total). Hopefully it will take more than 3 minutes so we won't be deafened anymore.
Quick trick question: if we are deafened, and Joseph uses his inspiration power, do we get the hit/dmg bonus? Or the fact that we can't hear his music makes us unable to get the bonus?

Knowledge (Religion): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

You only allowed about 3 hours between posting the sounding of the bell and the knowledge (Religion) roll before proceeding with the attack. I work in the morning and haven't had time to read the posts or respond until now. So if Toorin making the knowledge roll would have changed whether or when the window attacks us, let us know. I know it's nice to keep things moving, but please wait a little longer before forfeiting our ability to respond to a post.

Since we're mostly deafened, I'm not sure what Toorin can say but he would have looked at the various images of figures (in the stain glass?) and pointed to how their hands are positioned. He'll say, "This is ... or was a temple of Aroden." As he talks, he points to Aroden in the stained glass or elsewhere and/or writes the name Aroden in some dust or debris to to convey he is talking about Aroden. "Aroden raised the Startone." As he says this, he pantomimes raising something and points to the star stone in the glass. "But these are lowering it." He pantomimes lowering the stone and points to the hand positions to give further indication. "Strange." He gives a shrug and looks puzzled.

Don't know if that would have allowed us to avert the window attack, but that's what I would have posted earlier if I was able. I'm still puzzled about how the window is attacking us. Does a figure from the stained glass step out of the imagery and attack?
