Toorin |
Thanks. I'll check to see how things are going from time to time. I may play Toorin in some tabletop PFS games if I get time. He's developed into an interesting wizard with a very useful range of other skills and abilities.
GM Chyro |
Brallenera, i reckon you guys can tackle season 0 missions between the 4 of you.
After all, today's classes against 1st generation missions.
Next is Beggar's Pearl, where you can seek out a hidden complex.
Along with unique RP opportunity for one of you.
Kravg Ironfeather |
Profession Scout: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
I'm also wondering if I can keep up with this game, I'm not giving it the attention it deserves. How my life looks at the moment I'm having a bit of trouble giving each thing a place so I might have to step down as well.
GM Chyro |
I'll resend your sheet Kravg.
Pity to hear you're considering leaving too :/
Let us know if that is definite or not, hopefully it's not.
GM Chyro |
Kravg sent me a PM, unfortunately he's withdrawing from the campaign as well.
Which brings me to the next part, of opening recruitment again.
I think it likely one is easier to get, as the player in question will have to not have played missions on our list.
What would you three like to see join up?
GM Chyro |
I, for one, am thinking of the RP potential in this scenario.
Shonne |
"You guys order a PC? Just sign here and here."
Box contains: one (1) Old School Elf (It's a class, or at least it was in the red box)
Shonne's mostly updated, just have to buy a few odds and ends and update her inventory sheets. Feel free to peruse her past campaigns--I'll be perusing yours after all. ;)
GM Chyro |
Welcome to the team Shonne.
Peruse my past campaigns?
Should i be worried? :)
GM Chyro |
Yessss, level gaining.
The other paladin, who popped in recruitment, was practically jumping a hole in the sky for finally getting access to spells.
Shonne |

Keep a strict log of your journey so I may study it when we meet again and point out your missteps.
;)
GM Chyro |
What you're likely to find, depending on me playing or GM'ing, is:
GM fatality rate: 0
I had more luck knocking a few KO.
GM slipping in references or a joke: find out.
I play mostly humans, i'm a sucker for their bonuses.
GM Chyro |
Let me quote you Shonne, from perusing your past ventures.
Shonne would have been more inclined to call the woman a racist as well had there been no elven blooded kids among them after the 'I thought you should be used to animals' crack.
I GM'ed that one, the party was all non human. Thus, welcome to auntie Baltwin.
(Elf, Gnome, Kitsune, Nagaji & Sylph)Shonne |
I recently joined a game in a semi-similar fashion, as a masked alchemist....they consider me shady. Us stealthy types are misunderstood at times.
Shonne has an ancient (her first adventure) grudge against alchemists--well, one in particular who maxed out her splash damage and used it in every single melee Shonne was involved in--much to the elf's chagrin. In the last encounter as Shonne was locked in combat with the villains she KO'd Shonne. Even if she had made her save (which Shonne did) she would have been knocked out by the attack and yet, no apology or even recognition of the fact something bad happened. It was like she couldn't see Shonne. I've often wanted to get them both together in a follow up game just to have Shonne walk out in a huff upon seeing her nemesis and then sub her for another character who would no doubt say: "Huh? What's her problem?"
[END GNOME ALCHEMIST RANT]
EDIT: I stand corrected, due to out of turn actions Shonne was able to negate the damage that would have KO'd her by KO'ing one of the sources of said physical distress as seen here. Note the gnome healing herself and telling nearly-dead Shonne (who provided emergency care to an important npc) to go find her own damn healing even though she was the source of most of Shonne's damage. :D
GM Chyro |
Obviously not a grenadier, which i took.
Precise bombs bonus at lvl 2, to avoid friendly fire.
I'll have to look up the approach on that maximized splash dmg.
What game was that?
Shonne |
This one, co-starring overfiend_87 as Jan the Rifle-Man. ;)
Of course my other elf, Rilia is hanging out with Thomas at some big shindig in Absalom right now too....
Small boards.
Note edit above.

lol, current game he's in there hasn't been much to do as it's more espionage and all he is, is a military guy who joined pfs.
GM Chyro |
Indeed, small boards. ;)
Though, at 2.1 no alchemist has 2d6 worth of bomb dmg.
GM Chyro |
What are you looking for, is my 1st question?
Items with special qualities?
Ala’Ihys the Archer |
no I Just have made the armor, buckler and bow all MW, assuming I could have them made, + 1. But the "PATHFINDER SOCIETY ROLEPLAYING GUILD GUIDE" doesn't say I can explicitly do that it says
All mundane (completely nonmagical) weapons, armor, equipment, and alchemical gear found in any other source that is legal for play are considered always available.• +1 weapons (2,000 gp + 300 for the masterwork weapon cost + item cost)
• +1 armor (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor cost + item cost)
• +1 shields (1,000 gp + 150 for the masterwork armor cost + item cost)
Shonne |
Ok, I think Ala'Ihys is ready for third level, since his gear is MW can he spend the 1,000 gp or 2,000 and upgrade the gear or does he need to sell and repurchase?
For ease of play, a masterwork item can always be
upgraded to a +1 item without paying for the masterwork
cost again. Instead, you pay the difference between the cost
of the +1 item and that of the masterwork item. This rule
also applies to upgrading from a +1 item to a +2 item and so
on—you never have to repay the original cost or sell your
current item for half to upgrade to the next step. Note that
this only applies to items of the same kind—you can’t, for
example, turn your masterwork rapier into a +1 greatsword.
A mundane item can not be upgraded to masterwork, nor
can nonmagical aspects of equipment be upgraded (such
as the strength rating on a composite bow).
My understanding is that you can make items that are masterwork quality magical by paying the difference but you cannot make mundane items masterwork by the same process nor can you change an item's mundane traits (as stated above, i.e. you can't simply make a masterwork sword a cold iron masterwork sword, nor can you take a preexisting composite short bow with a +2 Str mod and make it a +3 Str mod, nor darkwood for that matter--you have to buy them that way).

Awww, I've fell down a pit.
I should have read your post, haven't even seen the Perception roll asked.
When will Paizo put some Perception roll for players? ^^
GM Chyro |
[Raises hands in questioning motion]
Beats me.
I doubt they'll make a system that checks the GM post with the word 'perception' and makes a roll for you in your own next post.
[Scanning: game master post]
[Mention of perception: once. Following posts = Equal to # of non-game master posters. Implement perception check.]
GM Chyro |
Next time i'm keeping the area black, afa los goes. :3
GM Chyro |
[ending sentence] paladins falling is the last thing they want to do. :)
Pff..let me look back :3
Edit: Discussion and gameplay opened on april 1st, this year.
Shonne |
A likely story.
Brallenera Thalkham |
Brallenera always rushes axe first into battle- even if her player sees a trap right in front of her on the map but forget to roll the character perception...^^
So it makes sense she again goes wild, and with her dwarf vision, entering the room, spots the orc and the derros
GM Chyro |
I thought you were playing starships & lightsabers. :)
GM Chyro |
Maybe if they'd start PFS missions into space with numeria as the base.
Lord Joseph Wraitheart |
lol well a bit too much really :p heh I can see that being done. I know atleast one of the members of Paizo was really into space stuff, but he had to tone it down for the CotCT's part 4.
Some very interesting missions on the swtor side.
GM Chyro |
Joseph...tell me please, how visible is your (un)holy symbol?
GM Chyro |
Brallenera, have you taken into account your str dmg from the poison in your rolls?
If not, the attack and dmg rolls are reduced by another 1.
Brallenera Thalkham |
To hit: +3 Bab +2 Str (Str 14 and not 16 as usual)+1 Msw Axe+1 Inspire-1 Fatigued=+6
Dmg+2 (Str)+1 Inspire-1 Fatigue=+2 (Trait no longer apply)
Lord Joseph Wraitheart |
He's not too pridful of the symbol due to paladins being around so for the moment, it's tucked away unless he comes across Gnolls or anyone acting as if they were a priest to the Mother of Monsters.
GM Chyro |
Elves have low light vision.
Dwarves are originally a subterranean people.
GM Chyro |
Maybe i should pit some derros against the homebrew group.
:)
Likewise, the group has 1 dwarf, the only one to see in the dark.
