"Hassk-Hassk is ready to go if sselected-sselected. As for his alignment, Hassk-Hassk is the ssame alignment as a normal Hydra, mainly becausse with his five headss, it is difficult to be anything but chaotic in your nature-nature. Hassk-Hassk alsso doess not care one way or the other about good or evil-evil.

Alsso, Hassk-Hassk realizess that one of Hassk-Hassk'ss headss fell alsseep in his last posst, resulting in Hassk-Hassk not ssaying the last word of the ssentence twice-twice. Hassk-Hassk hass punisshed the head for ssleeping while talking-talking. It will not happen again-again."

Not going to be able to get anything in by the deadline. Good luck all!

GM Choon wrote:
Alignment should be at least near your species. You are special creatures, so you aren't tied to your monster's alignment, but you are still those monsters, so if you're completely opposed on the alignment chart you better have a super compelling reason as to why.

Fair enough...Flame Drakes are normally CE, I think making him CN (or as I call it here, Chaotic Stupid) makes sense for me. He considers himself an 'independent thinker' in the end.

Here is Alpha's profile.

Updated some notes to show template progression. Have some build questions but it seems better at this point to hash them out if picked rather than try to call attention to them now.

Same as with Chobo. But I look forward to looking trough all the wondrous applications later. Good luck everyone : )

My final list. I'm taking out the "needs backstory" comments because there's still an hour between now and the deadline, and somebody could come and add one, and I don't want GM Choon to discard it based on my incorrect comment.

...and the waiting begins.

The deadline has officially passed. My job now begins. Thankyou to everyone who submitted a character/monster for the running! Many more people showed up than I was anticipating and now my job has become much more challenging than predicted. 17 excelent entries to a game where the GM has almost certainly lost some important bit of his sanity.

This is not a bad thing. Probably.

I shall post here with my selections sometime this weekend.

"Hassk-Hassk hopess to be able to play with each of you, and wisshess everyone the besst of luck in getting in to the game-game."

Scarab Sages

I managed to fall ill so I could not complete in time, but I'll post for posterity:

Gjarar's pack had flead the undead abominations. Being quick and hard to track, they didnt have it too bad at first. There were far more easier prey for the undead.
But as the calamity went on, it got harder and harder for the tribe too. As a protector, she was always on the front lines, protecting those weaker in the tribe.
Slowly but surely, their numbers dwindled, one by one, as they fell to the undead abominations.
With prescious few left in the tribe, they heard of a magical sanctuary, were they could find aid.
---------------------
The tribe has been slowly growing again in the sactuary, but Gjarar feels her work is not yet done. They are still under attack from all sides. The tribe must be preserved!

Gjarar's a blink dog with the rogue template. I had not picked the race traits yet, as I was thinking maybe someone else would like to go Swarming with me.

Firstly, I want to thank everyone for the submissions. This was a wacky recruitment and I'm thankful for all of your time and efforts in producing such a range of monsters for concideration. It took me a while to narrow things down, and I still couldn't bring myself to pick just a handful, so I picked two. Thankyou again to everyone who applied. I wish I could take everyone, but alas, I just can't.

That being said, could the following please report to Discussion and Gameplay:

  • Merge
  • Shadehorn
  • Fenrir
  • Frist
  • Ardwellyn
  • Caraid
  • YhoYho
  • Alpha

Thanks for the consideration. Have fun all!

That was an interesting recruitment. Roarhoot was easily my favorite.

Awesome! Thanks GM Choon. Congrats all around to the lucky few, and condolences to those who did not...

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Have fun everyone! Clearly there's interest on the boards in monster campaigns. Someone should run another one. ;)

I'm glad someone liked him! Roarhoot would have been quite fun to play, especially when it came to communicating with others. Still, congratulations to those who made it! Have fun!
