I'm going to be busy until Friday night. This week turned out to be rather hectic for me.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Hmmm. We should have talked about this earlier. I could Coup salrann right here and generate a fort save or die in the fifties. I could damage her and probably kill her next round. How do we want to handle possible character death? Let her die in the service of the gods and be ushered into her afterlife, prompting a new character roll? Slight fiat to save her? I know Alathos was saved by divine intervention, do you want me to pull that again? I know that kind of literal deus ex machina happening once could be forgivable, but some don't like it happening more than that.

Thoughts?

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

I think it takes a full-round attack to pull off a coup de grace. Was that guy close enough originally?

If you don't coup her this round, then I can save her (Chu'ko and Alathos might consider running over to me so I can teleport us all away after delaying my action).

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Ya, it's close enough. It moved into melee range last round

I'm alright with whatever you think, Choon. The party can always just use money to rezz her. I've had a lot of fun with Salrann, but I of course have like five hundred character concepts rolling around, so jumping straight to level 15 with one of them would also be a fun change-up. :)

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

I feel I should at least slow the party to pull you from the fire, so we'll go with that and make a good RP opportunity out of it. :)

Sorry for the edit, but I think the spell bards escape was intended for situations exactly like this one. DM if you like I can place everyone where I would send them......

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Well played, chu'ko! Move as you will.

My range is 180 feet....not sure how that corresponds to the map. my preference is to take everyone and move them the full distance and out of sight of the beasts, preferably somewhere that places an obstacle between us and them so we can regroup, heal, etc.......

I am still honestly looking at 6th level spells known options,
I only get 2 ; (

Charm monster, mass - enough said
Dance of a thousand cuts - looks pretty good
Geas-Quest has potential for plot devices galore
Geataway - teleportation but better range, but not as good as Eden
Overwhelming presence - also has potential
Summon Monster VI - for instant allies!

If it was me, I'd go with overwhelming presence and dance of a thousand cuts. One good self buff, and one good debuff.

Sorry for not being around. I've been extremely busy. I will be occupied until next Wednesday.

I too am leaning heavily towards those two spells!

Anyone else have an idea? Maybe a spell option I missed?

I'll be in Japan until the 16th. Cartmanbeck (Salrann) will be posting for me in my absence.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Is everyone leveled and ready?

What should we do about new spells?

Salrann is ready.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Add new spells as normal. I assume you've been studying in your down time.

Alathos also looks to be ready.

Are new spells spontaneously prepared?

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

In my games, typically yes

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

Ready to rock. I'll need to double check my skills on Hero Lab when I get the chance, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Is it possible to get a recap of the goals and items we are looking for? I had it before, but I can't seem to find the page it was on. I don't want to mis-speak.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

You haven't quite meet the queen yet, in spite of that monster post. Something important happens here if anyone detect as good.

You are currently searching for the the pieces of the key to the ultimate hidey hole. You have a document that would destabilize the government of king Stavian III, and have been tasked by Iomadae to take it out of play. The Good portion of the key was in the possession of Marcus who is currently missing. The Queen holds fragment number two.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Eden: Are you currently hiding your goodness in any way?

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

Yes. Mind Blank and a Nondetection spell with an unbeatable SR check (so trying to gauge anything from her gear would also fail). I'm not entirely sure what she'd get, but I'm leaning toward that Eden just wouldn't ping as Good (alternatively, she gets a divided by zero error).

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Update later tonight or tomorrow. I've had a crazy few days and am exhausted. I was away from my computer where the map is all that time. I apologise.

We're you going to do anything? Your last post said you walked up to her.

Oh, I was confused, I was waiting for a another command from her. But I guess now that she has the rod in her hand, and I'm adjacent, now is as good a time as any to strike!

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

I'm going to wait to see if she's stunned. If I turn her to stone now, then the rod also gets turned to stone.

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16

Truth, but if she's stunned she'll drop it, so that'll be perfect. :)

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

Is it our turn?

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

What's the type of knowledge roll for the big monster mount?

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

The monster is called a Shantak. It's a space-capable mount. It has no special defenses other than the fact that it's big and strong and likes to strangle people to death.

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

Did it make its save against my Flesh to Stone spell? Liberating Command is only an immediate action, so I had still had actions left over and cast Flesh to Stone on the Shantak.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Yes.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

I will be updating tomorrow. Busier weekend than normal.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

I actually need to know what exactly youall are doing. Resting? Teleporting out? Cleansing from the bottom up?

Sovereign Court

AC 44, touch 36, flat-footed 23, CMD 44 | HP 223 | Fort +25 Ref +21 Will +32 (Evasion & Stalwart) | Active: Arcane Sight, Aura Sight, Darkvision, See Invisibility, Tongues, Enchantment Foil

In my opinion, I would like to cleanse from the bottom up. With the side objective of trying to free the gold dragon. As a contingency, however, we should have Eden prepare a teleport for a quick escape.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

In that case, how do you deal with the prismatic wall?

Also, do you rest?

Liberty's Edge

Male Tengu Bard ( thunder caller) 20 AC 33, touch 23, flat-footed 24 (+8 bracers, +5 amulet +9 Dex, +1 NA) hp 114 Fort +6 Ref +20 Will +12 +2 vs. Poison

I would be looking for areas we have not searched yet within where the prismatic wall is....

Also trying to figure out where the wall came from in the first place....

Female Elf Transmuter Wizard 20 | AC 17 T 15 FF 13 | HP 162/162 | F +17 R +17 W +23 (+2 vs. enchantments) | CMD 37 | Init +14 | Perc +33 (LLV, SID, SI)

I was under the impression that we were going to rest in the Mage's Mansion and then I could just Dimension Door us past the wall.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Ok, I hope everyone had a great Holiday! I'll be posting an update today after my work paperwork responsibilities. :)
