Sharptalon was getting a bit more used to this mind-talking-thing now. He gave a slight nod.

::Yes, not get shot. Not fly now.:: He thought back.

Darkweaver, Owb Rogue; AC 22/19/14 20% miss chance; HP 106/106; F11, R13e, W8

::Oh, there's enough sky for darkness that does not involve you. I'll circle around to the right, you circle to the left.::

NPC Intelligence Officer

::"Right have a dozen men manning makeshift barricade down here, our guys are keeping thire heads down. Right I see our bug target wandering behind a shield wall that forms our enemy's front line. There are at least a dozen shock troops between me and it. They have tower shields and light maces by the looks of it, so expect armor. Like like ten or so have formed said shield wall and are looking restless. I think they will be coming our way soon."::

She ducks down.

::"Here is the plan, Canaana, your get to a place, soon as they make thire move wait till they are close then start snipping the hell out that shield wall. I want that advance stalled so me and Griffin can get into the middle of them. They will be nice and bunched up. Soon as we make out move Weave and Akumu, go for the target, blind it, or what ever you need to do. Once we have the shock troops running we all zero in on the target and take it down. I would like the thudder intact if we can. Any questions?"::

Canaan will go into the blasted tower since his options are minimal. Better hope it's not too obvious.

::"I can try to take down the shield wall as ordered. If they aren't too durable, should be easy enough. "::

then he finds a good hide with a view of the battlefield and makes himself hard to see.

NPC Intelligence Officer

She looks at the men behind the Blockade with her.

"When they make their move to come at us, hold till I give the order to counterattack."

She looks through one of the cracks to see of the Shield wall is advancing.

Darkweaver, Owb Rogue; AC 22/19/14 20% miss chance; HP 106/106; F11, R13e, W8

::Noted.:: he responds as he moves in. He will dip down to scoop up a handful of gravel and tucks it in his pouch. Within the pouch, he'll touch a few and start them spreading darkness. For now, the dark will be contained in the pouch. but soon it will spread.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

As expected the shield wall advances slowly. The two troopers behind the main line produce reinforced bags from which they draw vials of Alchemists Fire. Those at the barricade soon feel the effects. Not much fire gets through, but it is an extremely effective form of cover fire.
The monster is behind them and starts firing over their heads. A few miss, but those that hit nearly punch holes in the sturdy wood of the wagon.

Human Fighter 17/Guardian 5: HP 182/182, Fort +17, Ref +18, Will +19, AC 52 (T 21, FF 47), CMD 53 (Grapple , Overrun 70), Perception +2, Init +8

Is it possible to try and shoot one of the alchemist fire throwers while they do it, so it drops or hits allies?

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Yes, but they have cover. It'll get easier as they approach because of your elevation. Hitting them with a readied action could do it, but you'll be at a -8 in total, -4 cover and -4 for hitting a moving body part.

Human Fighter 17/Guardian 5: HP 182/182, Fort +17, Ref +18, Will +19, AC 52 (T 21, FF 47), CMD 53 (Grapple , Overrun 70), Perception +2, Init +8

Yes, but it would seem like a good time to spend the grit to make it a touch attack.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

That will greatly increase your odds. :)

NPC Intelligence Officer

Ducks out the way as the thudder shots blast holds in the cart.

She looks to the troops with her and Sharptalon.

"Sharptalon when our sniper starts hitting them, do you think you can fly skip over this cart and the shield wall to get into them from behind. IF you can I will lead this lot out past the part and at them."

She looks at the troops.

"Where going to hit them from all sides. Sharptalon here will punch a hold from behind in that wall of shields. I will lead you and we ill hit them from the front. Don't worry about the big %£%£^ with the thudder. I have support in the air that's going to give that thing a shock. Get yourselves ready. I'm going to aid you but it will cost a little blood on your post, but your going to be braver than you have ever felt. trust me. So don't fight it, go with the feeling and you will hit truer and harder. So on my mark we attack."

She then go's back and looks thought a hole waiting to see what Canaana can do to the attackers. She pulls a officer baton out of her pouch. Looking very much like a WW1 officer she waits for the attack to start.

::"Soon as Canaana stalls them we go"::

She projects to the others.

powers ready:

She will start untouchable-aura just as Canaana starts combat. 6 rounds DC17 will 1pp

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

The line marches forward... Canaan sees his opportunity. The far man is throwing in a predictable rhythm.

Sharptalon | HP 77/78 + 14 Temp | AC 22 T 11 FF 18 | CMB +14 CMD 26 | Ref + 10 Fort +12 Will +7 | Rage 6/9 Martial Flex 6/6

A couple of clarifications here--how far is it to this line? If Sharptalon is going to be in the air for a couple of rounds before reaching them, this is a bad idea. If he can make it in a single round, it's... a less-bad idea. One other question--are there enemy forces close enough to here to fire one flying creatures, or is it just this group that we have to worry about?

Sharptalon seems nervous. ::Fly not get shot? Not arrows not Thumper?:: It's clear he's been trained to recognize the danger of flying near enemy lines.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

They are now close enough to make out with a double move. You only have to worry about this group right now.

Sharptalon | HP 77/78 + 14 Temp | AC 22 T 11 FF 18 | CMB +14 CMD 26 | Ref + 10 Fort +12 Will +7 | Rage 6/9 Martial Flex 6/6

Seeing his opportunity, Canaan takes his shot.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

Fate: 1d20 ⇒ 7

Canaan's shot is a thing of beauty. In spite of the rain, in spite of the moving arm, in spite of everything, he places the shot straight through the far trooper's wrist. The bottle of explosive sails straight into the backs of the men in front of him. The explosion knocks several of the men on the right to their knees and creates just the hole Incendia needs.
That's not all, however, the man stumbles and falls on his bag of Alchemist's Fire! His entire bag of fire breaks, and the reinforced bag holds the ensuing firestorm in to produce an explosion that blows the man clean in half! Not only do you now have a hole, but a momentary distraction to boot!

Human Fighter 17/Guardian 5: HP 182/182, Fort +17, Ref +18, Will +19, AC 52 (T 21, FF 47), CMD 53 (Grapple , Overrun 70), Perception +2, Init +8

Sharptalon | HP 77/78 + 14 Temp | AC 22 T 11 FF 18 | CMB +14 CMD 26 | Ref + 10 Fort +12 Will +7 | Rage 6/9 Martial Flex 6/6

I would vote to focus all attention on Mr. Thumper-arm. A bunch of guys with maces could be bad, but they probably would have to be extremely lucky to one-shot one of us. That Thumper, on the other hand... I'd rather not see what it does. So I'd rather kill him in one round if possible. Speaking of which, is *he* within a single round of griffon flight?

Of course, it could just be that cannon-arms immediately make me think of Samus Aran. =P Anyway, Sharptalon isn't much for independent tactical thought, so he'll follow whatever Incendia says.

NPC Intelligence Officer

Seeing the man fall and the Blast, then the brake in the shield wall.
Incendia brings up her power and gives the command.

::"NOW ATTACK!"::

"NOW CHARGE THEM!"

She jumps moves past the cart and Charges at the brake in the shield wall.
Dark evil shadows form around her, things evil things move in them.

I take it this is our surprise round GM, Double move to the shield wall, also are you rolling Init's?

If our scouts do there job that thing will be blind and/or fighting them, so lets go Sharptalon

fear effects running:

Aura of Fear (Su)
At 3rd level, a dread radiates a palpably daunting aura that causes all enemies within 10 feet to take a –4 penalty on saving throws against fear effects. Creatures that are normally immune to fear lose that immunity while within 10 feet of a dread with this ability. This ability functions only while the dread remains conscious, not if she is unconscious or dead.

Untouchable Aura
[Fear, Mind-Affecting]
Duration: 6 rounds
Saving Throw: Will DC17 save (see text); [Above means they also have a -4 to that roll]
Power Resistance: Yes

DESCRIPTION
You manifest an aura of nightmares around you which reacts to anyone trying to attack you in melee, forcing the assailant's worst nightmares to consume their thoughts. Anyone trying to make a melee attack against you must succeed on a Will save or lose their attack action as they recoil in fear from the images inside their mind. If the save succeeds, the opponent can attack normally and is unaffected by that manifestation of the power. Power Resistance applies at the same time as a Will save.

As the chaos begins, a spread of darkness drops down among the right side of the shield wall. The possibilities of confused and frightened men in close proximity over broken terrain in pure darkness bring a smile to his face. At the least it will slow and scatter them, breaking their coordination. At the best they kill each other in the dark.

Rosala shakes her head as she sees Darkness hit the other side of the shield wall.

Sharptalon shrieks a challenge as he takes to the air, flying over the shield wall before suddenly wheeling and diving down, landing behind the other alchemist's fire-thrower.

I'm assuming this is a surprise round so I can't subsequently make an attack.

The Man. The Myth. The Mask!

That's correct Talon

Darkweaver, Owb Rogue; AC 22/19/14 20% miss chance; HP 106/106; F11, R13e, W8

Weaver seems amused, ::And yet you also asked Akumu to join in, which would not work if I had done so.:: He would have to explain about tactics to her later, as she seemed not to get it.

>;)=

NPC Intelligence Officer

Sorry about this Weave, I'm Not being mean player to player, its just what she would do, She is Lawful evil after all, what you did had that wift of Chaos like free thinking, hehe :o) tying to keep the tone not to insulting, more telling off. By the way loving this, grate RP stuff, Rosala and Weave, little friction in the group. Some push back, makes for a great dynamic.

------------

Hearing his tone, she know at once the type. She wanted this mental joking around to end and for them to get back to the job. Real funny that one, real funny in the way that gets others killed. Flashed throw her own mind.

@all

::"Shut it Weave, and stop sounding so smug with yourself"

She shot at him before he had fully finished.

"You knew what had to be done, stop the big ^"&(er shooting at us, Unblinded, me, Sharptalon or Canaan are all in range and exposed! all because you thought, next time DO as asked! that is if we survive past your %"&&" up!."::

She sounded miffed at his joking about.

--------------------------

Then she let it go, no point berating him more. What was done was done. She now had other things to deal like killing.

As she ran to the fight the form of Lady Incendia Anisha Rosala shifted, her black uniform was still there but her flesh far less human looking. Blue in hue, her features more striking as she took on her true kyton look. Aark shadows wove around her, forming and reforming horrors, horrors reaching out to the ones still standing in the shield wall. As total Darkness fell on one side and flame on the other she spotted Sharptalon over head and his shriek of challenge as he came down behind the shields. she hopped the troops where behind her and the two in the air could deal with the Thudder users until this lot where delt with. It was all a big risk but it was the best plan she could come up with give time and what she knew. As she came close to the shock troops her anger grow, now it was time for killing. she started to sing her song of darkness.

Round 1

It has been going so well, the shock troops had broken before her. The troops behind had go into the shield wall and where doing well. Sharptalon was even taking on the bomb thrower. So well, then a brick wall hit her and she was flying back the way she had just come, Crashing over the Cart and landing on her back in the mud.

Pain, lots of pain and a ringing in here ears. She felt like she had been kicked by some great best.

She shuck her head a moment, taking time to get her head strait and the ringing to die down.

::"£%%£^! that hurt"::

Comes a angry thought, then its gone.

::"lets see if that £^^£er can do that again"::

The she is back, seemingly unhurt, and claiming up onto the cart and pointing some kind of long gun like thing at the thudder shooter.

"FIGHT MEN! THEY CAN'T STOP US!"

She bellows to her troops, rallying them.

"COME ON YOU ^%^£&ER TRY THAT AGAIN!!

she shouts at it the thunder user.

Then the large gun like thing she is holding fires, but it clear she must still be a little shaken as the shot seems to go a little wide. Standing there on the cart she starts to reload her odd long weapon.

Compel Courage (Ex)
An ostiarius can inspire courage as a 5th-level bard using bardic performance, granting a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against charm and fear effects and a +2 competence bonus on attack and weapon damage rolls. This ability has a range of 50 feet and affects those creatures the ostiarius chooses who also willingly accept the benefits of the effect (no saving throw required). The ostiarius's performance compels creatures to perform at dangerous extremes. Any living non-outsider that benefits from this ability takes 1 point of bleed damage. A creature that accepts these benefits for multiple consecutive rounds gains additional points of bleed damage that stack with one another (to a maximum of 5). This is an audible, mind-affecting effect and can be countered by a bard's countersong class feature.
