In terms of selling stuff, aren't we leaving out Lucius? He's also using 3k gold as a baseline. Though I admit I don't know if that makes sense from a storyline perspective.

Anyway, Silvio is definitely purchasing a silvered Aldori dueling sword and some wooden stakes.

He’ll get first dibs on the look in this vampire den.

Krojun’s got just barely enough to enchant his axe.

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Thank you, Krojun, that coin listing is what I needed...
That should put Staryth at 2137 gold

Well before we set out once again lets make sure everyone has done their shopping and updated accordingly. At your level you should each have a magic weapon at this point, I'm kind of shocked by the sad level of gear from the first book.

Let me know when everyone is updated and we can proceed.

Staryth comes a bit short of affording a magic weapon, unless you allow him to upgrade his already masterwork glaive (or trade it in for same) Is that allowable?

And sorry to be the slow one here :(

Gobbo!

No worries. Yes, you can upgrade existing weapons. For ease of play we can assume this was done at some point after your return from the previous excursion. I realize you all really haven't taken any time away from play to address loot.

Please bump Staryth's gold by 900gp. The same would be said for anyone who falls under the 3k mark. We will assume you were paid by the guard for your previous assistance.

I will make it a point to insure the treasure output of the AP is appropriate going forward. Some times a little extra needs to be added to keep things balanced. Since this is a 3.5AP I'm already having to do some tweaking on the encounters, so adjusting the loot a bit isn't a hassle.

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Ok. I believe I am updated. I bought some holy water, back up weapons (nothing special about them, it's just glaives won't fit in everything), and turned the masterwork glaive into a +1. I have a little over 900 gold left...
which I might be tempted to use for a restoration spell except I'm pretty sure the clerics are too busy with plagues

Winter:
HP 36/36 (2 nonlethal) | AC:20 T:13 FF:17 CMD:17 | F+4 R+5 W+2 | Perc+5 | Light, Bless, Inspired Rage

Silvio is updated with the Ring of Protection, a silvered weapon, and a dozen wooden stakes (for good measure). Also a light hammer.

Dashing Ex-Con 10 (HP 62/62; AC:18, T:12, FF:14; Fort:+9 Ref:+11 Will:+10; Init+4; Perc+0) (Effects: Mage Armor)

Staryth could buy a scroll of deathward to prevent future level drain.

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

I didn't get the scroll, but I did get a mirror

Gobbo!

All set? Purchases made?

I'm assuming you all are heading straight back for the alleyway. Any specific tactics or plan I should know about, or are we just charging down the alley and throwing caution to the wind? :)

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Sorry, my purchases are made. Staryth hopes to use said mirror to shine sunlight into the alleyway

Krojun's purchases are done too. I already posted in gameplay.

Lucius is done. I do not plan on charging down the alley. I will stand safely in the sunlight.

They're not actually in the alley anymore.

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Well, snot. I thought we got back before they could slip beyond that since the daylight would still pin them down?

Gobbo!

They ducked back into the building they emerged from, so they definitely aren't just standing in the alley waiting for someone to shine the sun onto their pale skin :)

You have several options available to you. If you have specific questions about the environment just let me know. But you are going to have to slip into their domain a bit if you want to track them down.

Yup, I figured that's the case. Since he's got the best AC I suggest we put Silvio on the front line as we enter.

Male Halfling Warpriest (Divine Commander) 3 | HP 36/36 | AC:20 T:15 FF:16 CMD:16 | F+5 R+6 W+6 | Init+4 | Perc+4 |
Winter:
HP 36/36 (2 nonlethal) | AC:20 T:13 FF:17 CMD:17 | F+4 R+5 W+2 | Perc+5 | Light, Bless, Inspired Rage

That works. Maybe Silvio can sneak ahead and get a surprise round. Though I just realized Silvio's AC is actually 19 (he used to have Dodge but dropped that feat in the rebuild).

Gobbo!

Just an FYI, I will generally assume that when possible the party searches rooms that they find, taking 20 when possible. I also assume detect magic is always used on discovered items. This typically saves some back and forth for what most consider "standard dungeoneering practices".

If you all have any other typical actions you want me to consider and incorporate feel free to let me know.

Male Halfling Warpriest (Divine Commander) 3 | HP 36/36 | AC:20 T:15 FF:16 CMD:16 | F+5 R+6 W+6 | Init+4 | Perc+4 |
Winter:
HP 36/36 (2 nonlethal) | AC:20 T:13 FF:17 CMD:17 | F+4 R+5 W+2 | Perc+5 | Light, Bless, Inspired Rage

My suggestion would be always checking for traps and listening at a door before opening it.

Gobbo!

Noted :)

Gobbo!

Posting this to all of my games. Starting this weekend I will be incommunicado until August 3rd with GenCon preparations and attendance. While I may do sporadic updates to some of my games during this time the expectation should be that I will be completely out of the loop. I will make it a point to finish up any ongoing combat before that time and I encourage you all to RP among yourselves in my absence. I will likely be reading all my threads each morning before heading off to the convention and will be following posts and trying to reply when possible.

If any of you are going to the convention as well, shoot me a PM and we will try to link up at some point, if only just to meet and say hello! :)

Gobbo!

Heads up for everyone. I'm back from GenCon and it was a blast. However, I'm turning in my two weeks notice today at my current employer. They have a habit of immediately cutting access to the network for outgoing IT staff, which means I will likely be out of the loop in the mornings.

What this means going forward is until I am settled in my new position and have a better understanding of how much leeway I will have for posting, I will be posting now in the evenings as opposed to the mornings and during the day. I'll be catching up with my PbP games tonight and hopefully will have a bit more info then.

Thanks!

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Thanks for the headsup
Glad you had a good time at Gen Con

Welcome back, and congrats on the new position!

Gobbo!

Working my way through my games, and I apologize for the long delay. As I mentioned last week I am, or was, going through a transition between jobs. The last week and a half have been a mess of me trying to bring everyone up to speed and dealing with the sudden mad rush of shopping and parties for my soon to be born grandson. Well, grandson in the step sense, since this is my wife's son's child. But that still makes me a grandpa at 42 I guess :)

Anyway, I decided yesterday that I was going to stick with my current employer, and hopefully things will level out soon. Bear with me, I'm trying to get back into the rhythm for posting from pre-Gencon. Just so much happening all at once has left me in a bit of a chaotic mess. :)

Gobbo!

Guys, sadly I am going to have to admit defeat here and bow out of trying to get this one fit into my schedule. When RR handed things over I knew it would be a risk, but my posting schedule has actually narrowed even more the past few weeks and I'm having a lot of trouble keeping up with all of my games. Since I have several that I personally started, I feel I owe those games my attention priority, and I'm just not doing you guys any justice with this one, since I haven't been able to do much at all with the gameplay thread over the past weeks.

I knew this was a risk, but I wanted to try. I'm man enough to admit defeat here, I simply don't have the time to keep this one going.

If its any consolation, I had to drop from the only game I'm actually a player in as well. Time has just become too tight to juggle 5 different threads. I hope you all understand and can forgive me for failing to pick up the pieces of this one properly.

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

It's cool. Real Life happens, and takes priority always. Thanks for trying.

Looks like we're shutting down for good guys, so let me say it's been quite enjoyable and thank you.

Thanks for giving it a shot Trips. No hard feelings here.

Just try to mark the game inactive before you disappear down the pit of adult responsibilities before you go. =P

Male Elf Rogue 1 (AC 18, Saves Fort +4, Ref +9, Will +6 HP 6 out of 15?)

Yeah, please do mark it inactive.

Yea what they said.

Gobbo!

Will do. If you all end up finding someone who wants to run it, just let me know.
