GM I don't think our archer gets a full round attack in the surprise round...you said two arrows were fired and the second one crit.... normally you can only take a standard action or a move action in the surprise round...If Umberto's crit stands then it hit on the opening round of combat not the surprise round..therefore, Lumo's hit should be nullified... sorry to bring this up but this is a notoriously deadly encounter... it should be run as close to the book as possible.


You are right. Archer using rapid shot is a full round action therefore I will agree with your retcon. Lumo's damage is nullified.


I am going to go ahead and report this game tonight to make sure we get it in under the Outpost Gameday. We can finish the fight and not have to rush. I will hold off on chronicles until we are done with the last fight.

How did Lumo get to the top of the building already? You mive at 1/4 speed while climbing, unless you do an accelerated climb (raising the DC). Reidog just made it to the top at the bottom of the last round and had a mive action left to draw his axe. Lumo appears to have made it to the top before Reidog even though he started after...

Wow, sorry to here that Umberto. Not nearly a rules expert, but at first glance looks like you may need some AC help. Defensive magics, amulet of natural AC, ring of protection all good options to help out there.

i think it's hilarous. the Lucky Drunk shines on Umberto. i'll get a +1 buckler or something. i have an eye on a cool breastplate for him down the line.
