When they are noisy your good. Its when they get quiet that you have to start wondering what they are doing. lol. Speaking form experience (3 yo daughter)
THe office has been almost nearly converted to baby room, and the office is now officially downstairs. I don't have much time to go into story mode, as I am just popping on and saying that we have no word yet. I am reading the RotR anniversary book I got, and there are some very cool things coming around the corner.
Wife is doing much better, though she has constant contractions.
I think she might do this for another week at least. Yesterday was the 36 week mark, so anything after this is just gravy now.
Also, agreed on the toddlers, and Minis are my heroes.

@brayden - Good luck, and God Bless.
@Iodem - I used to paint miniatures constantly. I have painted (and sold) more than a thousand figurines (most of them warhammer and 40K armies). Now, I content myself with my DM's wotc pre-painted plastic things and try not to think how much better I could have painted it.

I got the Anniversery Edtion also. But I am going nuts because It is sitting on my desk where it takes all of my damn willpower and diciplne to not read it.

@zen I too own the Anniversary edition, I own the originals as well. It's hard to not open it. Running my kingmaker game and the campaign setting books keep me occupied.

If only 'Professional DM' were a well-paying job. sigh I would love to just be able to run games for people on a full-time basis. My Scion group meets only once a month and it is frustratingly little to keep me sated.

Seriously, my wife and I were just discussing how one could make money in the Pathfiner/Tabletop game arena. How flippin' awesome would that be to make money doing something this fun?

Just a heads up, I'm still on vacation and my posting may be spotty for a day or two.
So I just bought the Anniv edition in PDF version so that I can seamlessly integrate all of the book goodness into our online combats and such.
YOU SPOILED PEOPLE! :)
Also, I would recommend those of you that have it not read the book. we will be playing through this for probably another year or two, and literally one paragraph into the book you will find out the major plot, and the final encounter.
That is a year or two's worth of pretending that you don't know what is going on when you do, and I promise you that your brain will not thank you for it. :)
If you want to bow out of the game because the temptation becomes too much, I would completely understand... it is a very pretty book ;)

good thing for me that a year of that will be spent in kuwait lol and i wont be bringing my books there. so if i can just hold off for another 6 months I should be good.
plus i have my hands full GMing a actually table top session for jade regeant
Let's get the "non-participation" thing out of our systems this weekend.
Come monday I want to have everyone fully active and on board. I would like to be out of this cavern next week. It has been too long down here.
(not pointing fingers here, I realize that I started most of this. But I have every intention of moving the story forward now that I have my office set back up.)

Yeah, it doesn't help that I've been itching all week. In my Kingmaker finale my players used the lame trick of antimagic field + charging grappler to eliminate the threat of my final encounter. Lots of prep time was all for naught. It was anti-climatic for me to say the least. (I'm not a GM that fights against the players, but this did manage to annoy me.)

Just to let everyone know. I have an all-day RL game tomorrow and will be traveling to San Diego most of next week. While in SD, I'll have internet access at night at the hotel.

So what do you all think of the new recruit options? Mechanically, I am leaning towards the barbarian or weapon warrior for damage dealing, but the barb doesn't have great AC, which means we don't/won't have a damage soaker-upper.
female Human (HP 10, AC 16, F+3 R+4 W+5, Per+7, Init+2, Melee +3 Monk / Level 1
the nice thing about barbs is their damage and total hp. it allows them to soak up damage. also the get the DR. Im also towards the barb tho a weap warrior would be a good choice also

oooh looool! Thanks god I did check out the gameplay tread. Totally missed out it was continuing.... .... :| No idea but the dots disappeared. Sorry for the inconvenience
Yeah, I would make it a habit to check in even if you don't see anything from time to time.
As an aside, maybe you should all send me your emails so we have another from of contact going between us just in case.
BTW, baby might be coming VERY soon. She is now past 38 weeks (YAY!) so they might actually keep us at the hospital the next time we go, lol.
So it is kind of touch and go as to whether or not we will be going in today or tomorrow, but we are edging towards that plateau as surely and steadily.
Until then, this should give you some stuff to do.
Now that the group is here let's do this. I *am* putting the group on short notice (and Kerdin, that is "strike 1" against you. You missed almost a month), because I have put monies into this online campaign, and I want to see it continue. It's been *very* hit and miss since right before the zombie room for certain members in the party.
Again, I know I play my part in all of this too with the way things have been for me lately, but I am asking us ALL to step it up, including me.
(ie - my wife is dialated to a "4" right now, and I am setting up a combat map for you before I go to work.)
Male [HP:25, Atk:+6, AC:16/12/14 Fort+6 Ref+2 Will+1; Per+6; Init+3]
OK! Totally accepted. Although have to say to my defense that I did check first 1-2 week for post and nothing new popped expect "ooc" talking so was watching discussion thread :S
But as you said, have to make it habit to keep watching in the game thread also

Yeah just recently. I didn't notice it there till today. I have most of them on my laptop, but not all. I like that you prepare for all contingencies! :)
