I'm sorry. It was definitely not my intention to hold up the action with a discussion on semantics and colloquialisms. I will be certain to be more explicit in explaining my action in the future.
Also, I did not mean to say that you have limited life experience, DM. It was intended to be a playful jab, so please do not take it to heart. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate exactly what you intend when written text strips away intonation and subtext.
Here, as my way of making it up to you, please have a delicious plate of internet cookies.

I'd like to be clear that I have no visible weapons except for the dagger that is now tucked in my belt. GM Brayden in case it ever comes up should I roll sleight of hand, or will I just need to roll it when necessary?
Wow! I'm out for a day (weekend) and now I have to read more than 30 posts?!? You guys are very expeditious! Btw. Please, please tell me that someone remembered to ask Chelaxian lady "what" is her pet, before we entered?
Look, with my roll there, he could be selling me a parcel on the moon, and I'd still think he was telling me the truth :-) But enough with my meta-gaming, Haraldir is inclined to believe him.
So I had my interview with the regional rep today. Needless to say he was impressed. It is just coming down to dollars and cents now, he offered me the job, but I want to be considered for the higher position.
I'll know about the higher position on monday.
It's a good day, all around.
(Sorry for the infrequent posting the last couple days. This is the 2nd person I've interviewed with for the position. I might be interviewing with HIS bosses on tuesday if they are seriously considering me for the upper position.)
I guess they take the store manager position seriously. :)
(To Answer Wibeke's question: I own my own company right now doing granite countertops, but I am switching industries, on account of the construction industry going to crap and all.)
So, after 3 interviews (the final of which took place yesterday), peeing in a cup, salary negotiations, and things of that nature...
I am now officially the Assistant Manager of one the largest/busiest Gamestops in the state of Utah, with a very sure foothold to be the next Store Manager, and soon.
So now I get to spend my 9-5's talking about video games, and my off duty hours RPG'ing lol. My conversion to ultimate nerdness is almost complete!
Gstop pay is decent at the management position. Nothing to brag about in the company of lawyers and such... The benefits are bleeding tremendous, though!
They will be paying my tuition, and short and long term disability, and the healthcare isn't bad, either.
It'll be a LOT easier to swallow when I hit Store Manager status.
So party loot is shared goods, but you HAVE TO BUY ANYTHING IF YOU WANT IT TO CARRY OVER TO THE NEXT SESSION.
So if something is consumable, you can use it. It does get subtracted from your total party gold though. Everything you acquire gets sold for 50% value at the end of the session. You total up party gold, split it into shares, and then compare that to what the maximum gold is. You are also getting gold for completing tasks.
You total all that up, and if it is over max gold, you get the max gold limit.
Also, anyone can buy the "special cool stuff" that you discover at the end. You have to buy in the presence of a GM, so my guess is we would just post it.
Been awhile sorry had family in town and also first week of work and training so things got a bit crazy things should be better from here on out. I'll post tonight again tonight when I'm at my cpu.

Ethics may have been the most boring class I have taken. Not to mention every business course has an ethics chapter already. Enron and Worldcom really messed it up for everyone.

I would gladly trade you for my ethics class (albeit from three years ago). I'm in a doctor of psychology program. It was very much a "laying down the law" sort of experience.
So I initially meant this as just a one time thing, but I am liking it. I do have to make some decisions about how it is best for me to continue though, so just a quick poll... would anyone like to continue, or do some people want to take their gold and leave, as it were?
