SH!# I knew I should have prioritized waterproofing the suit. Well at least I have the propulsion worked out. He opens up his control panel on his forearm and after turning some dials and tapping some buttons a back lit bluish green liquid starts to course through the armor. Quickly his armor starts to shift and reform giving him flippers on his feet and fins on his back.

You quickly dispatch the remaining biters and the bodies float to the top of the lake.

On the other side of the iron gate sits a small, dry alcove slightly raised above the mire. Becher pushed aside a bric-a-brac shelf exposing a small niche in the back of the room where his father secreted a stash of belongings in a locked chest. An outline in the dust shows where a small chest once sat. The shelf contains dozens of crates of rotting wine corks and moldering labels. One crate, sealed slightly better than the others, contains some of Iodan’s old adventuring gear, a molded set of clothes and rotten cloak, and two once fine daggers now badly rusted and worthless. Two valuable treasures lie strewn amongst the rest of the junk: Bracers of Armor +1 and a Handy Haversack.

One of the undead possesses the distinct attire of an Osirian sorcerer. You find a battered wayfinder on his person with the name Abta Nuatha inscribed inside.

Becher’s trail through the tunnel beneath the caves leads to a small abandoned stone cottage on the outskirts of Railford. You encounter him resting there, trying to regain his strength before returning to his distillery. "Oi... Kill me now, iff'n you're going to. Durothil happily assists the ailing human in his quest to return to the distillery.

"Come, it will all be over shortly."


The tunnel from the barrel-aging caves ends in the basement of a stone cottage in Railford. The basement is filled with nothing but moldering, empty wine racks and a flight of crude, wooden stairs leading back above ground. Another tunnel leads from this location to the distillery.

A loud commotion can be heard outside of the distillery before a single voice echoes through the air. "Come out, Becher! We will take you by force if we have to!"

Distillery Structure and Features:

Taproom: The taproom of the distillery has tall 20-foot ceilings and 8-foot high climbable scaffolding surrounds the walls laden with massive barrels filled with liquor. The barrels on the ground floor level are tapped and can be opened and closed. The liquor is flammable, but gives off little heat and damage and extinguishes quickly (1 hp fire damage per round for 1d2 rounds). Still, if a tap is lit on fire, the entire barrel can catch, causing a slight explosion 1d4 rounds later (1d6 damage to all creatures within 10 feet of the barrel; Reflex DC 12 negates).

Stillroom: A massive exhaust chimney occupies the center of this brick room, while complex coils of glass piles and alembic tubes, vats and beakers chug and burble, powered by a smoldering hot iron stove. Scent in this room is overpowering; anyone entering for the first time must make a DC 12 Fortitude save or be dazed for one round. Once an individual has been exposed to the scent they are immune to its effects for the next week.

Here drink this and stay down and out of the way. Iron Man says giving the man his Antiplague.

Alright looks like we're going to have to defend this place. Lets try and get some barrels stacked up in front of the doors. If the doors are breached we'll lite the barrel. I'll take point on the main door try and slow down anyone who get past our defenses. Iron man starts rolling barrels towards the door were the voices are coming from if they are comming from all around he'll roll the barrels into the Stillroom since it has the least number of entry points.

Durothil fires off an arrow as Iron Man drags the body of the bootlegger into the distillery. The arrow seems to take out a man next to the leader, but the man seems uninterested.

"Seems that your benefactor has fallen. Unsure why you are following an old, useless, unreliable drunk like Becher." the man yells. "Give me the deed and we can negotiate terms. If you want money, I got it? Land? Taldor has tons."

Gronk sees the leader of the group with about twenty men at arms, however only four seem to be near him.

"Quite your incessant companion unless you wish me to do so. From now on, only you shall speak if we are to resolve this amicably. The Emperor needs to secure his lands in title and deed. Give us the deed and we shall promise the safety of all townsfolk and yourselves as well as a favor to the Pathfinder Society to be determined in the future." the man states, clearly preferring combat to negotiation, but understanding the easier route is probably bribery.

This man's father was a Society memeber as well.. We should try to honor that. The situation does not look good though."
