I can pay PP for the rez and I'll use cash for the restoration. I'll also pay 1PP to remove curse if that helps with the cursed wounds. If that won't work then I'm stymied as to how to proceed.

Are we playing high tier or low tier? I'm just trying to figure out if we're unlucky or outmatched.

I think we got mostly unlucky there, some horribad rolls coupled with no prep/buff time and into a heck of a fight. Those things were pretty serious...

You only need to pay for a Raise Dead, correct, not a Res?


@Gregor: Remove Curse doesn't work on Cursed Wounds (at least it doesn't say it does). You would have to buy healing if no one in the party can do it and hope I roll well for the caster level checks.

It's high tier with the APL of the party. This is a notorious Season 0 TPKer at high tier from the threads on it.

Depends on how hard time is against us... we might end up needing to sit on the deck chucking CLW etc until we get there. Maybe that 48 hours I scoffed at could actually happen o.O


In theory, you could spend a few days. There is nothing in the scenario that is time-sensitive.

You can take 1d4 ⇒ 4 days of rest before you have to continue your exploration due to to pressure from the Decimvirate.

Each day you will gain you HD in HP and this is not magical healing, thus it is not hindered by the Cursed Wounds. Full bed rest for a day will heal 2x your HD. Four days should be enough to fully heal everyone of their cursed wounds, right? Well, except for Gregor. Even on full bed rest for four days, he would only get 88 HP which would leave him with 5 Cursed Wounds.

You are able. In fact, you could heal yourself while doing bed rest for four days.

I had been keeping quiet, letting the live ones make a decision, but I'll put my two cents in.

They way I see it (which may not be the way GMBS sees it), at this point, Allie and Shin are captured, in the harbor of Absalom, alive. I would think that all it would require is a 5 PP body recovery and a Remove Disease at this point. Body recoveries are usually performed in time for Raise Dead to be performed, and being so close to the Lodge, I would think it could be done in less than 24 hours, easily.

Though Shin's final adventure was less than thrilling, if we can use the axe money for a Raise and Restoration for Grim and Allie and Shin can get away with spending 5 PP and the cost of a Remove Disease, than I say cut loses and do it.

At this point, this game is on hold, as everyone calculates risk to characters.

To be clear, I'm only for abandoning this scenario if everyone gets out alive. If we can pool the necessary gold and PP to get Allie and Shin out alive then that is my first choice. Leave no agent behind...but we don't necessarily have to be the ones to pull them out.

If it is impossible to send a team in to rescue Alie & Shin then we do it ourselves. But if at all possible we should go shopping first so that each of the survivors has a way to deal with incorporeal and hardness and maybe buy something that makes a big boom; putting Dora's awesome UMD bonus to good use the next time we're heavily outnumbered.

Assuming we have enough gp to do so.

That seems to be the favoured outcome.
It was fun whilst it lasted! Was the lower tier a little more balanced out? It LOOKS like it has all the nuts and bolts of a good scenario - just that opening encounter and the warp-stomping Xill were a touch rude :p
