Alrik focuses on what is around him. While he may not be able to see Iomedae has granted him the power to see evil. The Paladin steadies himself and swings his Sword in a high arc into the direction of where he was attacked from.

As I read the rules, Normally, you make a Stealth check as part of movement, so it doesn't take a separate action.

@Sarasha: True, but you also need cover or total concealment.

@Alrik: You can't use it as a move action if you cannot see the object or individual. You would have to use the three round cone version that costs a standard action. Also, they have total concealment since you are effectively blinded.

Alrik, looking to put some hurt back on the creature that attacked him, takes a wild swing in the pitch black sphere.

He seems to connect with the creature and the chittering in his ear turns into a shriek.

The group of five knows little of what to do, though Katja probably thinks that staying inside the sphere is problematic.

Do not forget this clause: "Blind creatures must make a DC 10 Acrobatics skill check to move faster than half speed. Creatures that fail this check fall prone."

Cobb fires off two arrows into the darkness, however he merely hears them hit rocks as Lukas makes his move into the pitch black wall, threading his way around the voices of Alrik and Katja and trying to punch where Alrik calls out from, but his swings his fist through air as he strikes.

Sarasha and Tessa also decide to join the fight in the pure night, but have to move slowly and can't focus on anything else.

@Sarasha: Making a Perception check to find something is a move action, which you can't do if you double move.

Cobb:
You see the sphere close in even farther, but it stops right before it reaches you.

Alrik:
You hear that aid is coming, but this doesn't stop another blade from plunging into your body, harming you even further and damaging your nervous system.

Lukas, feeling the strikes from the north, steps towards the blade and tries to deliver three strikes, but only his first hit manages to hit the creature. The creature cries out in pain, but Lukas doesn't think the thing hit the ground.

Tessa continues to move into the darkness as Sarasha plummets from the ceiling, surprising the creatures in the black. The woman's attempt to hide in the rocky ceiling must have worked and, coupled with her boldness, it lets her strike without retaliation, however she is still blind and the strike merely pierces the ground.

Cobb:
As Cobb readies his bow in the pitch black of the darkness, he nearly jumps out of his skin as a hand is placed on his shoulder and he hears a deep male voice chanting.

We are bonded by nature for the moment, Ser Cobb. says the oddly familiar voice. Blink a few times. it advises.

As Cobb blinks, he finds that his eyes are adjusting to the darkness and he can see. Behind him stands Azmur Kell. The druid's hand is on his shoulder and the man's eyes are closed, granting him to ability to see in this darkness.

You have risked your life to help save my wife, so I could not take the coward's way out. he says stoically, knowing that his presence could mean his wife's death. Let us kill the three grioths in here. The dragon waits for his minions to die or for you to die as you can now see.

Asmur's hand points past the three grioths fighting the group in the pure darkness and Cobb sees the dragon perched on the rocky outcropping just inside the 'greenhouse'. He looks wholly uninterested in the fight.

A surprise strike may work, but he is just as willing to breath his acidic breath onto his men as he is onto you if you try to harm him and this darkness could prove fatal for most.
You now have the See in Darkness quality while you remain in contact with Azmur Kell.

Cobb, knowing that once he's in the darkness, he'll have nowhere to aim takes a gamble, and backpedals aided by his swift feet. Sighing as he crests the darkness after a dozen steps, he quickly calculates the center of the sphere and hopes his assessment is correct - that whatever is causing the darkness is an enemy and is at the center of the black.

What I wouldn't give for an oil of daylight right about now.

!!! That's a spoiler I didn't want to overlook. Retconning, as I imagine you calling my attention to that would allow..

Cobb blinks as instructed, a grin spreading across his face yet obscured by the shade cast within the darkness by Golarion's greatest 'stache.

"Three what's that? Grioths? Grioths-on-a-stick coming right up!"

Emboldened by his newfound sight, Cobb seizes the speed granted to him to fire a trio of arrows.

Since he can see, he'll swift action to Bane (which granting +2 will offset the earlier roll needing to include a -2 for rapid shot). Then he follows that up with the rapid shot arrow and the extra attack from haste. Not including point blank as I imagine they are 40ft away the way a triangle is drawn.

Cobb, almost ready to flee back outside of the darkness, finds solace in an unknown source as the group hears him identify the enemies as grioths, though they have no idea how he knows that.

The quick twang of the bow three times means that the group prays they aren't hit by errant arrows, but the cries of the enemies seems to be enough for them to understand that the enemies have been injured.\

Cobb:
The greenish grioth falls as two of your arrows strike his chest, dropping him immediately. The other two grioths find butchering the unsuspecting victims in the dark more fun than dealing with you, however.

Alrik:
In the darkness, you feel a blade slide into your belly once more, striking deep.

Move action to study the dragon. It seems like a grioth may still be in play? If so, it's Cobb's 2nd studied target and he'll fire an arrow into it. If not, he'll cast True Strike on himself with his standard. Spell slot not expended (yet) since I'm assuming the shot is fired.

@Alrik: You are essentially moving to where Cobb is guiding you, however you still have to find a prone sylph in a 5' x 5' square, so I would apply Total Concealment to the touch. Also, you moved 20' so you would need an Acrobatics check in order not to trip.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (11) + 1 - 5 = 7 12 Dex and -5 ACP from the Full Plate; DC 10. You still have a move or standard.

Alrik, turning the pure darkness, trips over his own feet and face plants into the cavern floor.

Cobb:
With your gifted sight, you see Alrik fall on the ground as the dragon seems to dive towards the entrance, penetrating the pure darkness, but he pulls back suddenly before landing to get a good enough angle as he releases a gout of acid in a 50' cone, though he never got close enough to harm anyone but the fallen Alrik.

Alrik:
As you react to falling onto the floor, you hear the dragon roar and the wing beats grow louder for a moment before you are covered in searing acid.

Acid Damage: 10d6 - 10 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 6, 2, 3, 1, 5, 2, 1) - 10 = 21 DC 20 Reflex to halve.

Sarasha:
You hear the grioth yell out as the dragon roars. Involuntarily yelling about hiding behind something, though you don't know what as nothing ever happens.

In the pitch black, you hear the dragon roar as it gets closer, however the sound of its wings seems to indicate that it falls back after it roars close by.

So as far as any of us know, the remaining grioth is still at the red X? I guess since talking is a free action, I'll ask Cobb:

Lukas calls out, "Cobb, you can see, right? Is the last minion still to my right?"

Was going to say 'at my 2 o'clock' but it sounds strange in the Golarion context.


I am assuming that Cobb can direct you to the proper square for attacks and touch spells (like LoH or CLW), but you still have the movement problem and the Total Concealment issue.
