Campaign Tab is updated with characters and breakdown by Class and Race, including those incomplete. (Saw this in another game and thought it cool)

Thanks again Azure for keeping things up to date.

Less than 6 hours before any new submissions are closed and I'm going to start going through them in earnest on Monday with the announcement of the final list on Tuesday. At that point I'll go through with each of you on adjustments to backgrounds to fit and a second trait. I'd not expect the game to start in earnest until the following Tuesday as I will be at GaryCon Friday and Saturday and have my home game on Monday

Now off to a Kingmaker game

Your Welcome,

Being a GM is a lot of work and having a helping hand makes it easier.

DM Blood:

Will check that. Was using a template from another character and may not have changed some things. I went back and forth between the 17(19) and 18(20) Int. I may drop it back down and allocate the 4 points, likely 1 to Con and 2 to Str or Wis. I will look at the weight and see what I have. I do not think that I had actually looked at the equipment so I will have to check that. Actually, I want to play around with the background. Are you basing this in Diamond Lake as per the AP? Or shifting that as well? From your description it sounded like you were taking it from outside of Greyhawk and moving it to somewhere outside of Magnimar. Let me know if this is incorrect.

I should have the character completely finished by later tonight. Weather is unreal here and I do not think that I will be given much time to play until my kids get to bed.

I would like to submit this character...if its not to late.

I'll organize things a little better tonight and update my alias tomorrow but for now all the information is there(except background) and correct just not the best lay out.

Wow, running a bit short on time. Its rather a buzzkill to be sick all week, but considering I do have the basis for this character down flat, I am hoping someone might be able to help me with a little information on the Golarion city of Oregent. Unfortunately my in person GM is stuck in Forgotten Realms for the most part and I've not really gotten to experience Golarion as much as I would like, but I heard Oregent is a town were the world is pretty much dictated by bells, is that correct?

And GM blood, would you allow me to customize my monk outfit a bit to come with bracelets of bells? Its something I find myself wanting for character flavor.

I present to you Jorgen Woodsplitter, a lumberjack from Oregent who was trained by a traveling monk in the art of the crane.

Having come from a long line of Lumberjacks, he is of tall build. However, unlike his woodcutting family, his frame is of slender build, something his father puts up to his mother's family.

Unable to escape the family trade up till recently, he carries upon him two handaxes and an greataxe which his father gave to him for his protection on his journeys, despite his grumblings of being an ungrateful son.

Among other possessions, Jorgen has wristbands and ankle bands adorned with bells. These serve a number of purposes, among the most important was to help other lumberjacks to know his location and to help him with his timing while practicing his martial arts.

GM Blood:
More mechanics than flavor. And with that in mind I went with flavor of the character, taking World Traveler trait.

Of the skills I could change History to fit something missing from a group if needed.

Azure_Zero : Race is updated (Human). Forgot about that, the game Rohara was briefly in was all human.

I can remove the Qinggong to make it valid, if it actually is invalid, but someone had told me its valid because you don't actually have to remove anything with Qinggong making it extremely versatile.

Edit: Though I will leave that to our GM to choose if he finds it allowable or not.

Merck/Dollok:
Like your build - stacking orc and draconic together=big fireballs

GM Blood:
I assumed some changes had to be made as Bimbur didn't make the cut last time. Also I figured some motivation for the atypical dwarf choice of class and archetype were in order.

GM Blood:
I'll make the adjustment -- I had taken Goblin for Kilthan to really fit in with the dwarven mentality -- switching it to elves makes sense.

Ok back from my game and watching some basketball. (Go Badgers!)

Any new entries are closed. There are a few that need to be finished, and I would like them done by Monday.

I'm started going through them last night and will continue to look through them tomorrow. I want everyone to know they have been really great and if you don't make it, it doesn't mean they weren't good. Having 20+ entries and choosing five or six doesn't leave a lot of leeway.

Questions since I have been gone

Arakess:
Thanks for making the change. I am not really much of a stickler when it comes to encumbrance except when strength is negative. I think at 10 being an average human and being a witch should be fine.
Spoiler:

[spoiler=nimble] Not too late but be warned that non core races have their work cut out for them. Everything needs to hit it out of the park

[spoiler=Joshua] What is a bracelet of bells? Its getting late and I have had a long day so I can't seem to place what that is or feel like searching. Also to the archetype overlap...let me look tomorrow and I will let you know.

Bimbur:
While the choice is atypical, I also play a dwarf zen archer monk in a twice a year game so i appreciate it. Truely no changes needed to be made. The reason you didn't make it last time had nothing to do with your character but had to do with the direction I was going to take the other game in and I couldn't see taking two monks, even if you were ranged. Changing to elven enmity is probably slightly more useful than against goblins if only very slightly so.

Tilnar:
I only suggest it because you wouldn't get too much use of it and I'd hate for you to have a wasted class ability. Elves might not be much more useful but you'll get a chance to use it at least. The most useful would probably be undead, but you could take that later if picked.

Lantern Lodge

Wow, one in 22 chance. I hope to get in, going from 6 games a week to 1 most weeks is leaving me wanting. Of course the chance to play for consistancy would be nice as well.

Techinically it's 5-6 in 22 chance (since he's taking 5-6 according to his last post). So around a 25% chance. Not to be the devil's advocate or anything.

Ok - character finished I think. Background modified for race change.

Character is now an Elf Witch(Hedge Witch).

Somehow I messed up a spoiler above

Joshua:

I think i will allow the dual archetype as long as "Perfect Self" isn't a power available to swap.

GM Blood:
No, I appreciate that -- I built the character based on the backstory only since I had no idea what I'd be facing. I figured, thematically, the ancient enemies of dwarves makes the most sense -- which, based on racial traits, would be goblinoid, elf or giant.

I imagine I'll take undead as my second enemy as I encounter more and more of them -- and probably give that the +2 right away.

However, the downside of taking elves is that the adaptibility power of the Infiltrator type won't be the most helpful -- since, as a half-elf, I already have most of those elven bonuses -- I suppose I could use it for skill focus or weapon familiarity, but that's about it.

Its no special in game effect and not listed any where. Its more of a flavor object, unless if you wish to make it more. Just think of a bracelet with bells attached. Its suppose to go with the fact he comes from a place where the bells rule life.

Thats fine, just making sure I wasn't missing something

Looking forward to seeing who all makes it.

It was indeed humor, and what to expect if I get chosen :)

I like a sense of humor, and if paired with an Aasimar bard could offer some nice RP opportunites.

Lantern Lodge

Humor is always nice to have, now if only I was any good at it.

I have updated my character sheet and now its MUCH better organized.

Lantern Lodge

@Dryn'taka I love your background, it has inspired me to be more creative with mine.

Chainmail/Bimbur:

Hey mate, nice to bump into you again. Hope we play this one together too. Yea, this half orc likes to make things go BOOM! Going for a swith-hitter build with some CC spells.

Zen Archer does pretty well for himself on the dpr charts also. I liked the twist you gave to his backstory. See you at Cauldron, good luck.
:)

Spent time last night reviewing all the entries and narrowing them down to yes, no's and maybes. Only 2 in the yes pile right now with 4 more slots to fill. There are 2 slots I am pretty sure about but haven't made it a 100% yes yet, and two slots that I have not come to any definite decision. Yet by the time tomorrow there will be six chosen.

Thank you again everyone for the interest. Just know that not being picked doesn't mean the entry wasn't good as there were a ton of good ones. Makes me excited for the game even if I wish it could have everyone

Actually, I think you are in the wrong recruitment thread it you wish to be the devil's advocate. There are several Way of the Wicked recruitment threads for those wishing to partake in the devil's benevolence.

GM Blood:
I sent a PM.

I'm sitting here all like, "I hope I make it I hope I make it."

haha. If it is because of my "meh" back story that I don't make the cut then I apologize, I am not very good at making back stories for things until I know more about the world. Also was crazy busy this last weekend and didn't have the time I had wanted to make it.

Enough boohoo from me, anyway, congrats to all who do make it and thanks to GM Blood for the consideration and Azure_Zero for keeping the profile list.

Blast! You and your C&C quote. Now I want to play those games again.

Playing some old games now and then is a good thing,
I still play the first half-life and it's expansions and mods (really true for They Hunger)

Solanar has some backstory done, but to be honest, his isn't flowing that freely for some reason, so it's not complete...Understand if that might cause me to not make the cut.

Your backstory is a good start, and leaves some room to add new content.

Notice I am not trying to put you down.

Look at Ingrid Jones. Her's is not that complete either. But also look at the layout, I seen that about half the alias that applied here used her format as a base layout as it is very organised, helpful, and complete.
Which I as a GM love to see, but each GM is different and may like different layout formats.

Frontline fighter entry (replacing Bimbur)

Lizardfolk paladin of Iomedae

He was converted by the missionaries of Iomedae, and is now a major force for good.

Finishing up the character as we speak--crunch is done.

DRAT! You've seen through my plot to go back in time and assassinate Hitler, altering the timestream and thereby securing a place in the campaign.

Eureka I just had an idea!
Wait, where is everyone going?

That was plan B.

What if I made a hybrid of Tiberium and unstable Energon (ala Beast Wars, Beasties in Canada). So it's toxic to life and electonics, then release it.

Then everyone dies, so no play-by-post. :-P

Not if I make a virus that mutates my DNA into a very resistant lifeform, or it'll make me a tyrannt like the test results from the G-virus.

@GM Blood - Lizardfolk paladin of Iomedae ready for perusal.

Crunch and background done. He is upholding a line of great lizardman fighters back to Gulth from Quag Keep. This lizardman will uphold the good and the law and redeem the reputation of his kin who, in Quag Keep, tended toward chaos in the single axis alignment system of Andre Norton (there was only law, chaos, and neutrality).

Justin is a totally assimilated lizardman who fights with a two handed weapon. In close fighting he has been known to drop his weapon and fight old school with teeth and claws. He is learning to ride his horse into combat (he has his training spurs).

So... Party of one?

The GM will also get the "cure."

as will a few others.
