We may need to dispel the fly/levitate on this guy... Or can anyone cast fly on Justin?

With Skorhald's haste and Rohara's prayer, Justin does just enough to put down one of the octopins!

The other one is still up but if you are willing to move through Justin and take an AoO Kilthan you can.

Jag is out for a few rounds.

With Skorhald normal size his reach weapon is 10ft. Enlarged I believe it is 20ft, so you would still be short unless you are directly under him, and bladed dash only allows you to attack an adjacent creature. I made a "second" icon to show how far you could move in with your haste, but you can decide to do anything you want (Moving through the pool is difficult terrain which shouldn't affect you with feather step.. But if dispel magic works you could reach from there....

After Justin slays the last Octopin, Rohara casts fly on Justin, Skorhald delays to see if the dispel magic works, Aarakess flies around the corner and casts her spell, feeling confident in it working, however the mind flayer's ring flashes and intercepts it at the last moment. Its laughter rings mentally through your heads. Kilthan moves to position himself.

Justin moves to I-J 23-24 (35') and ascends 20' (2x cost to ascend = 40').

With his feet 20' above the ground and his head over 30' above the ground the massive paladin takes a swing at the mind flayer. His attack just narrowly misses what passes foe the beast's head and hits lower in the meaty trunk. A tiny trickle of electricity leaks out of the axe.

As she casts the spell to cause the spell on the creature to fail, Aarakess calls out.
Hold on all, lets see if we can drop that fish to the ground.

Justin, OK fly spell speed. Fly is 60 but heavily armored moves it to 40, haste adds 30' so your fly speed hasted and encumbered is 70'. 30' move over and 20' up (costs 40)

Aarakess, your dispel did not work as it was countered by the Mind Flayer's ring

Rohara than moves beside the pool and then calls upon her healing magics once again.

Move to H-20, Channel Energy 4d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 6) = 14 healed, exclude big bad of course.

Skorhald swings as the creature moves out of his silence.

Justin, are you counting Rage?

Everyone got their AoO in, now Kilthan, Skorhald and Aarakess need to do their rounds of action

Vitals (Kilthan):

Kilthan took a 5' step to follow after the successful bull rush and hadn't moved last round. Does that mean he's 5 feet closer and can step in to full attack?

Skorhald moves along the edge of the pool until he is close enough to attack and swings at the mindflayer.

Move action (including haste) should be enough to reach to get to F20 and G22 and attack. He will then arcane strike and swing away.

AoO Dorn-Dergar PA AS IC Rage, Prayer: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30(+6 BAB, +5 STR, +2 IC, -2 PA, +1Enh, +2 Rage, +1 Prayer) Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 15 Miss...

Damage: 1d10 + 22 ⇒ (5) + 22 = 27(+8 STR, +6 PA, +1 Weapon, +2 AS, +2 IC +2 Rage, +1 Prayer)

Don't forget Disruptive if he tries to cast defensively.

Kilthan, sure full attack away

Skorhald, noted!

Kilthan steps forward, testing the heft of the smaller axe in his hand, then explodes in a burst of hasted movement, shield and blade pressing the horrible creature before him.

109, even after miss chance... And a save vs death for a single shot of 66. Not bad. Would have been 6d8 if I hadn't dropped the waraxe..

Not doing Fort Save for massive blows, but...

The mind flayer goes to pull out a necklace of beads, but before he can, Kilthan plants his axe deep in him. The light fades from its eyes as he dies in agony, his mental scream rings through your head.

Combat Over

Level 8 is also over!

Woohoo - BBEG down.

Aarakess suddenly feels the tension drain from her as the vile creature falls to the ground.

Such violence and hatred. How such things survive always amazes me.

With that, she casts Detect Magic to see what is immediately of note in the room and on the mind flayer.

Skorhald claps Kilthan and Justin on their backs, "Well hit lad! Stuck like a true Hammerstone! Ye as well Justin, though yer obviously not a Hammerstone... That mind-devil thought he had the best of us. I may have to write a story about this one. Ye as well lasses, yer arcane and divine prowess were essential! This was a great victory!"

With that he pulls a large jug of ale, some tankards, and a flask of whisky from his haversack and passes out drinks to toast with.

Seriously, its in his listed equipment, bought and paid for. Drink up.
