HP 48/48; AC 21+2-1 w/ shield and EP/11-1/20+2 Used LoH(2/5) Used Smite (0/2) Effects: Divine Favor, Bless, Bull Strength, Enlarge Person

A quick resolution being needed, Trevor puts all his weight in his swing, hoping to bring down the guard.

Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16; 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19

Trevor, Still waiting on verification on Rowena's action and Rauno's surprise round action, but that should hit either way as they are still flat-footed

HP 48/48; AC 21+2-1 w/ shield and EP/11-1/20+2 Used LoH(2/5) Used Smite (0/2) Effects: Divine Favor, Bless, Bull Strength, Enlarge Person

Sure, but as I've said, posting will be sparser probably, so I'm doing what I can when I can. :)

Nope I like it, just noting it as I haven't officially done anything yet with your damage! :)

Surprise Round

Rauno casts Mage Armor on himself.

The surprise round ends and Trevor starts out with a solid blow on one of the tiefling guards.

Round 1

Initiative Order - Trevor, Kelkzar, Tieflings, Rauno, Rowena, Lessien, Quintus

Stats AC 19 T 15 FF 16

Kelkzar is up before the tieflings!

Round 1

Kelkzar moves past Rauno, bringing his falchion down on the same guard struck by Trevor. "Surrender you fools!"
Attack (Falchion) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16
Damage (Falchion) 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2) + 6 = 10

You both hit due to Flat-footed status, nice! Just waiting on confirmation from Rowena on her surprise round

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Sorry, I thought she was at the back. If she was at the front, then she definitely took the step forward and made her maneuver.

No problem, it can be confusing via pbp, as seen by me missing your improved ki throw feat

Ok so summing up the fight so far:

As the elevator touches down and the door is opened, you see two tiefling Zon Kuthon guards going through the routine of their duty. Taking advantage of them doing their job lackadaisically, you proceed to smack them around. Rowen leaps out of the elevator and throws the first guard into the second guard knocking them both off their feet.

Kelkzar and Trevor make quick work of the the first guard taking him out of the fight....

The surviving tiefling guard climbs to his feet Provoking from Lessien and Trevor and then moves around the back of the elevator Provoking from Lessien and Trevor again if they have combat reflexes. Lessien swats at him as he moves by

Lessien Attack of Opportunity #1 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5

Lessien Attack of Opportunity #1 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
Damage 1d6 ⇒ 6

Round 1

Initiative Order - Trevor, Kelkzar, Tieflings, Rauno, Rowena, Lessien, Quintus

Stats AC 17 T 13 FF 14

Everyone else is up!

FYI, Damage dealt to each creature will be listed on the map on the right hand side

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Rowena moves around the elevator, trusting the cage to black any attacks as she moves. Once she is next to the tiefling, she reaches out to trip him again.

Trip: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

She yanks him forward, flipping him over her hip, and deposits him prone in the square one south of Quintus.

"Where do you think you're going? You have a god of death to go meet!"

The guard is now prone

AC 22/12/20, HP 45/45 F: +6, R: +3, W: +8*

GM Blood, IIRC, Trevor's internet access is limited for the next week or two; you may have to roll his AoO on the tiefling.

Trevor hits the guard as he stands up.

Thats right

Power Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13

Human Wizard (Diviner, Foresight subschool) 5 HPs 36/36 AC 16 FF 14 T 12 CMD 13 Fort +3 Ref +3 Will +4 Init +10 Per +0

Rauno readies his crossbow and steps out of the elevator, not at all displeased to see that the others have the guards dealt with.

At least I'm assuming that AoO from Trevor took him down!

The guard was hit and ran around the backside of the elevator where Rowena has planted him a step away from Quintus. Still alive

AC 22/12/20, HP 45/45 F: +6, R: +3, W: +8*

Round 1:

Quintus holds action, scimitar poised to strike. "Surrender, and you may survive."

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Rowena's AoO, assuming she gets one if the guy stands...
Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 plus bonuses vs prone

Never mind...

Lessien moves around and attacks the prone cultist (who doesn't seem like he is giving up) thumping him with her hanbo. The cultist will not be getting up from that.

Attack 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 7 + 2 + 4 = 33
Damage+Sneak 1d6 + 2d6 ⇒ (5) + (6, 5) = 16

Confirm Attack 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 7 + 2 + 4 = 26
Extra Damage 1d6 ⇒ 4

Quote:
Three short passages lead from this chamber, one to the north of the elevator and one to its east and west each ending in a marble doorway. The door to the north is marked with the symbol that looks like a diseased fly. A pair of crimson banners flanks the door to the east, each marked with the symbol of a human skull with a barbed chain coming out its eye. The door to the west is free of all markings. To the south, the hall opens into a vast domed room. The black, marble tile floor glistens in the light of several glowing torches while elaborate, carefully worked marble pillars and arches sweep over the chamber. In the center of the domed chamber is a large pool of dark liquid. A stairway carved into the curved wall around the pool ascends to a platform thirty feet above the pool. The chamber's domed ceiling arches to a height of sixty feet over the pool while the smaller hall with the elevator has a ten foot ceiling.

Assuming you will search the two guards

Each of the guards have 2 potions. They are wearing chain shirts, they were armed with masterwork great axes, a composite (+2 Str) longbow with 20 arrows. They each have 27 gp and one of them has a key with the symbol of Zon Kuthon on it.

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Lessien's the one who usually examines the potions.

"I'll take one of the bows. I prefer things up close, but you never know when we might run into something I can't get to." He looks forward. "Ready to move in further? I'll set the brake and maybe we can find a dark corner for those bodies." Kelkzar sets the brake and helps stash the bodies as best we can.

Take the rest. I'm ok splitting them any way you guys want to.

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Is that a giant pit on the map?

There is the elevator that you are at now, too the south is the pool of dark liquid. Can't side the map right now not sure what else is there

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

Ah, right. Dark liquid. The meta-gamer in me is screaming that dumping bodies into a mysterious pool of dark liquid is a really bad idea. On the otherhand...

"There's always the mysterious pool of dark liquid to dump them in," Rowena suggests.

Stats:
AC 18/11/17, HP 27/51, F+7 R+3 W+7, Init +3, Per +15

"Sure, that seems like a reasonably good place." Unless anyone else stops him, Kelkzar begins helping Rowena drag the bodies over to the pool.

Looks like we have passages to the north, east, and west and stairs either up down or both by the pool.

You drag the bodies over to the pool. As you get nearer the pool, you cold feel the cold emanating off of it, its almost to the point of making you uncomfortable. The pool is extremely dark, you probably can't see more than a few inches under the liquid. It also seems thicker than water.

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

"Okay, this is a dumb idea. Let's find some other place to hide them."

AC 22/12/20, HP 45/45 F: +6, R: +3, W: +8*

"Yes, I think it'd be unwise to put dead bodies into that. Kelkzar, i know this is an evil temple, but can you sense if the liquid is really bad?"

Quintus looks around the cavern, shivering slightly. Ha! I thought I was unworthy and past redemption. Forgive me for being so whiny and full of myself, my Goddess...this is the face of real evil.

"I see the symbols of two of the three, but not the third. Let's check the blank one first."

The liquid is not magical either

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'd rather visit temples to Urgathoa, Lamashtu, and Zon-Kuthon, then do....that." She gestures weakly at the pool.

"Yeah, I don't blame you Rowena. Let's start with Quintus's suggestion of the blank one and leave the bodies behind us in that passage."

Which passage?

Each hallway ends at a locked door

AC 22/12/20, HP 45/45 F: +6, R: +3, W: +8*

"Is there a pit under the elevator?"

AC 20/T 19/FF 16; F/R/W +8/+8/+7; Max HP 48; Current HP 26

The unlabeled passage. If they all have locked doors, though, we might want to start with Zon-Kuthon.

No pit under, it lands on the floor

Ok, you pile two bodies in front on the unmarked passage/door

Everyone gets ready as Kelkzar inserts the key and unlocks the door and then opens it

A dozen suits of armor, ranging from battered leathers to rusted plate, line this chamber's walls. The bleached white bones of human, dwarf and orc skeletons contrast with the dark, bloodstained armor. The suits are carefully arranged, as if the dead were preparing to march for war. Bells of varying shapes and sizes hang from the armor on long, leather strips.

As you open the door the dozen skeletons in the very rusty armor rise, bells ringing as they get up.

Those are great, thanks GM Blood. I forget how you prefer to handle knowledge rolls. Can I make them and speak at anytime or should I wait for my turn?

Normally I would post knowledge spoilers, but since you have fought these before I didn't this time. Assume your characters know what it takes (blunt weapons to overcome dr)
