Character sheet updated; switched from Elf Witch 3 to Human Ranger 1 / Witch 2 with all further progression in Witch. My familiar will be an emissary of the Empyreal Lords; I don't recall the exact name but it was the Old Crone one (or something). I still need to properly format the character sheet and re-write the background, as the last few days have been rather hectic.
Looks good, doing the trapper archetype will give you disable device as a class skill and the ability to disable magical traps. After that its just keeping up with Perception and disable device.
It shouldn't be long now for you to join, the Zon Kuthon numbers are dwindling.

I posted on Monday that I will be out of town Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon (mini vacation for wife and my second anniversary), but it doesn't seem to be showing up in the thread here so wanted to make sure everyone was aware.
I will be able to post during the day on Thursday, though, to be sure!

Not that anybody couldn't, but Rowena could really use that +1 ring of protection. None of the armour or weapons would suit her at all, though she is going to hang onto one of those longspears for future use.

I'm good with Rowena taking the ring too. I suspect Trevor and I will tae turns dropping on the floor so keeping her up as a partner for whoever doesn't fall is handy :)

Hey all,
This whole business with the long spear and Rowena was completely unplanned, and it just happened because of the situation in the Kuthonite area, but it seems like it could really work and help out with her build concept. I had been planning on going straight monk, but I'd like to pick up the long spear proficiency and don't have feats to waste on it, so I was thinking about picking up her 4th monk level (for the ki abilities), then taking a break and picking up three levels of brawler (a fighter archetype). In addition to the hp and BAB pick up, she'll net the weapon proficiencies, 2 extra feats, a +1 bonus to bull rushing (great for those improved ki throws), and +1 attack/+3 damage with her unarmed strikes (and +1 to combat maneuvers she makes using unarmed strike as a weapon, like trip and disarm). She loses a bit in Reflex and Will saves and slows down her ki progression, but with the extra feats she'll be gaining, I can afford Extra Ki, or perhaps a style feat like Crane Style.
Thoughts/opinions from any build monkeys out there? Worth it?
Sorry for the slow movement this week. Busy work week last week combined with sick kid this week has kept things slow.
Next week Oct 19th and 20th I will be at Rock Con so I won't be posting at all that weekend. Kelkzar will no doubt get revenge for having a weasel attached to him! ;)

So how was everyone's weekend? Aside from being still sick from the flu shot a full week ago, the highlight of my weekend was my fledgling toddler finding the door to the basement open and falling down a full flight of stairs. He must have rolled really high on his Acrobatics check, because he came out of it with only a few scrapes and one big bruise.

Wow! Glad your son is okay!
Mine was pretty busy. On Saturday my step-daughter and I went to a function where you can drive Ferraris and Lamborghinis (an anniversary gift from my wife). It was a two hour drive away, so it was some great bonding time with my step-daughter. Sunday was babysitting my three and five year old grandsons and then a few hours of work to get ready for this week.
My son fell down an old steep set of stairs at his grand parent's house the first time he stayed over night there when he was just over one. Much like your son, he tumbled down the whole flight onto a concrete floor. He had a slight bruise on his forehead.
I had a blast! Michael was an awesome GM and I was lucky to have him in two games! The Con was also well organized and you could tell a lot of effort went into making it a great experience.

I have two hero points left. In theory, I could ask GM Blood to "cheat death". I'm not sure how I or he ceels about it. Let me know. I'll think on it on my side.

Ok thanks. Let me think about life and death while I'm down. I don't know why, but I don't like the cheating death possibility. Also, acting out of turn is fine, but not once hou know the outcome (for me anyway).
