The Universal Plug:
A steady poster, that plays along nicely, to fill a role centered on arcane casting, knowledge, survival in harsh coldness, range action... Easy enough!!! Seriously, I've mentioned our holes, but I also look for interesting characters that will help develop the story.

There are a few things that would be of interest to Trevor!


Of that loot, I think Rauno will just take one of the amulets of natural armor +1. During the downtime, he'll finish crafting Kelkzar's belt and a headband for himself. That along with scribing some spells will likely account for his free time.


Between cash and saleable items, I have us getting 34,145.42 gp, which works out to 5690.9 each with 2 copper left over.

We have the following consumables that I didn’t include in the totals above to split out amongst the group: Potion of CLW (x6), Potion of CMW (x1), Potion of CSW (x2), Potion of Bull’s Strength (x2), Potion of Haste (x1), Potion of Invisibility (x1).

GM, if you don't have any objections, Rauno will be doing some crafting on the road, using the rules for slowed down crafting while adventuring. He bought the stuff to do a cloak of resistance +1 for himself, as well as a couple of batches of universal solvent.

Kelkzar, I think you should take the (last) Amulet of Natural Armor since you have AC 18 and no other Natural Armor bonus. If you don't want it, Jirin will ;)

Removing the Ring from the "Sell" pot, it appears that each person gets 4,187.57 gp to add to their respective treasure chests.

I'd been thinking of putting in for it. I think that makes sense. He definitely needs an AC boost. I've been debating whether to ask for the circlet too, but it really only boosts his already high Intimidate further which probably isn't necessary. Plus it would look really goofy on Kelkzar. We're probably all better off putting that to cash for more useful items.

With my gold, I was thinking Headband of Charisma. Can this be crafted during travel by Rauno? If not, I'll spend the cash. I'm just asking beforehand to be sure.

Oh, and for my feat (I know, I take a loooong time to decide...), I was thinking Vital Strike. With Furious Focus, that means 2d12+14. Thoughts?


Feat wise I know there tends to be a lot of discussion about how good Vital Strike really is and if it is worth the feat. I like it however, mainly because I love the feeling of rolling a lot of dice when I play.

And when you are enlarged your greataxe damage is 3d6 and with vital strike 6d6!

Doing a little work on my next conversation (Chapter 11 of 12) and there is a more dangerous version of a previous monster that you will fight. So when I looked at the document I had saved for that chapter to copy and paste into the new one and adjust the stats I noticed I had a much different formatting scheme then when I do now (The documents I made for the first couple of chapters I had re-done later as I had lost them at some point)

So instead of new stuff I had been fixing my formatting. Yikes!

I've been looking at your stats, trying to figure how best to do Trevor, as you get such high damage rolls. You have your falchion listed at +11; 2d4+16, and I was wondering how you get to those numbers. Let me know. I'm trying to see if I'm doing something wrong.

Trevor I see you still have your BAB at +6, it should be +7. With your +1 greatzxe you should have an attack bonus of 7BAB+1weapon+5 Str for a +13/+8 for 1d12+ (1+7=+8) or a Power Attack for +13/+6 for 1d12+(1+7+6=+14) Exactly how you have it

I have a feeling that Kelkzar hasn't updated his Str since he got the belt and that with it he has a 22 Str. He probably updated his damage but not his strength score. That would make his to hit 5BAB+1Weapon+6Str+1Weapon Focus-2PA=+11) and damage would be 2d4+(9+1+6=+16)

You have it exactly right. Belt makes it Str 22. I go line by line through the stat block, but seems to always forget to check ability score increases :)

Edit: Bane helps too when I can turn that on. And he also has the destructive smite and ability to use judgement for damage (though he usually uses it to hit). He'll get rage at 8th level :)


Kelkzar, looks like Rock Con will not be happening after all this year. I usually go down with a friend whose house is closer than mine who I can stay over night at. I suppose I could just go one day, like Saturday. Do you know if they still need GMs?
