Novennia Wintrish |
Novennia quickly pins the remaining (conscious) tiefling's arms behind his back, motioning for someone to bring her rope. She then sets to tying up the two living ones, looking over the possessions. The only items that jump out to her are the potion and the gold - she decides to take a dagger and a mace, just in case they find any more skeletons. The digger's breastplate catches her eye, but she's disappointed to find it's of no better make than her own.
"Del, you could probably use this, as well," she points out, nudging the tanglefoot bag with one foot. "And hey, you took on a mummy!" She grins, clapping the young man on the shoulder and attempting to hide the truth about the 'mummy'. "Maybe you should write a poem about that, eh?" she grins, winking at Del.
"Brand, you don't look so good. Maybe this will help?" She tosses the potion vial at the sorcerer, before looking back to the coin. "Guess this'll go a ways to furthering our cause."

Neb will replenish his bolt supply and will reload his crossbow and angrily point it at one tiefling...
Keep them terrified, nothing like the fear of an imminent death to make a man or tiefling speak...
Alright you hellspawn bastards speak up, you killed my eidolon and for that I am more then happy to put a bolt into your heads!

Delgata Pesur |
Del looking a little sick noticing now that the adrenalin has settled a bit.
By the unholy gods of old! It was the restless dead! Quick unmask him! Who do you think it is Gus? It could be old man Vandit, he always had a look of no good about him.
Scooby-doobie-do!
Wait, so this sick bastard was sleeping, or just laying down in a stone casket, dressed in fancy dress as a restless dead...? Why? Is it a fetish? Kicks the dead body in wrappings. You sick sick bastards, galavanting around as the dead to sleep in their beds!? I bet you diddled a corpse! Another kick to the dead. Why the hell would this costumed guy do that, to scare us? Does he just lay there day after day in hopes that someone would break in so he could scare the high holy hell out of them as a practical joke! Do they really have that kind of dedication and stamina? Third kick.
Look of shock.
Del dives to his knees dagger in hand and presses it to the dead tiefling in wrappings.
The jig is over! No more acting! You creepy undead fetishish!
Del will shake him by the shoulders violently watching his head bounce around like a buoy in a storm. After a moment he stands up calm and discreetly wipes blood from his dagger for any keen enough to notice. He eyes the other dead bodies keenly in a you cant be too careful look.
Unless someone takes measures to stop him, or protect the bodies Del will quietly move around the room pressing his dagger into the hearts of the dead littered about the floor.
Novennia Wintrish |
"Woah woah, woah, calm down!" Novennia exclaims, pushing Neb's crossbow aside. "Just because we're vigilantes doesn't mean we have to go resorting to threats against unarmed captives! When they come around, we're going to question them like civilized folk. Maybe even dump them at the foot of a guard barracks or something. Not shoot them!"
Shaking her head, she then grabs Del gently by the shoulder. "And look, they're already dead. Do you really think they could have survived some of those blows?" she asks, gesturing to the body she'd sliced in two. "Just keep yourself calm. We've done it, okay?"
Looking to Krokod, she shakes her head. "Look, I have no idea what you're saying, but you sound tense. Just don't tell me you're on his side."
Nebuchcanezzar |
Neb redirects his crossbiow at the tieflings, he holds the crossbow with one hand briefly and uses Novennia's body as a visual block to cast a spell...
Excellant, double team them. If they believe that i'll kill them and that you will save them they will discose information to you fast... Reply through the link.
Novennia Wintrish |
Novennia starts slightly at the mental relay from Neb, but she sighs, turning her back on the tieflings and whispering her response.
Novennia Wintrish |
"Well, I know I'd like to know who your leader is," Novennia shrugs, crouching in front of the 'prisoners'. "Who is he, where is he, is there anything we should know about him... you know, general knowledge. And what your game is, as well - this is all petty theft, isn't it? But murder? Now that's a big thing. What did you 'Bastards of Erebus' stand to gain from it?"
Delgata Pesur |
Paranoid.
Del gestures with his two fingers, "I am watching you" toward the tieflings then fades away into the shadows silent like a ghost.
He will sneak out of the room to keep an eye out.
GM Birch |
"Pavleen is our leader. He tells us what to do. We steal stuff and sometimes have to kill people." He shrugs. "I don't know about gaining anything. We just do as Pavleen tells us."
"And he's usually in his room, next to this one."
He gives the impression that he believes he has told you all he knows.
Novennia Wintrish |
"Well, there'll be no more killing and stealing," Novennia says grinly, turning away from the prisoners. "Let's get them gagged and go pay this Pavleen a visit," she sighs. "Does anyone have something useful? I'd rather not rip up my cloak."
Once this is done, she'll take a moment for anyone wounded to heal up, then go to the room next door.
Novennia Wintrish |
Krokod Firetongue |
Sighing, Krokod sacrifices his scarf, and tears it up as much as he can to use as gags for the group of fallen foes, "Ah well, it wasn't like it was that clean after all the fighting we've done."
Delgata Pesur |
Still here.
Del continues to watch the hallway for more tieflings.

To the tiefling.
Jerk.
Brand Firestorm |
Brand watches the tieflings and the others with interest, noting the back and forth between his companions. He checks his wounds to make sure they've stopped bleeding and applies the best bandages that he knows how to. Pretty poor work he admits to himself, he's glad that magic does the job just the same. He takes a healing potion out of his pack, pulls the stopper and downs the contents in a gulp, as the pain of his wounds fades, he feels immediate relief.
Healing potion: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
Novennia Wintrish |
Satisfied that the captives won't be making their lives harder, Novennia heads for the room the tieflings had indicated. After waiting long enough for everyone to assume the usual order, she checks the door - rather, she kicks it down, having had just about enough of the tunnels and crypts.
Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24 Yep, going with the literal kick-in-the-door approach.
Delgata Pesur |
Sad Face.
I did just get a new set of toys.... I now vow forever to not make the woman with the big sword angry.
GM Birch |
Door duly kicked in, you see a large, open room which has a bed, desk, and chair. There is also a bunkbed.
Papers are scattered across the desk, and a large chest sits against the wall to the north. Two heavy chains are spiked to the wall in the
northwest corner. At the end of the chains are two skeletal wolves, that at present are straining at their leash but silent.
Aside from the creatures there are three tieflings here.
You spot immediately the one known as Palaveen. His tiefling heritage is more apparent than most; his horns are large and branch from his brow, and his ears are pointed — this, combined with his facial hair, gives him a goatish look. His right foot is a cloven hoof, and his orange blood glows and flickers as if it were on fire. A scar in the shape of the symbol of Asmodeus decorates his forehead.
He holds a morningstar in his right hand. And then he promptly disappears.
The other two tieflings appear unarmed. Oh, and the chains restraining the wolves drop away, allowing them to spring forward.

Oops, my bad, apologies for holding things up.
Brand gets a quick glimpse into the room and calls a dark greasy fluid up and under the legs of the two skeletal hounds.
Brand casts grease under the two hounds feet if he can.
GM Birch |
Brand is successful in casting his spell. Both hounds are now fighting to keep their feet.
Out of thin air, a morningstar made purely of force appears by Neb and hits him hard on the back.
Neb takes 6hp of damage
One of the sorcerors throws a small sack at Novennia. As it hits her, it comes apart and goo bursts out, entangling her and at once becoming hard to the touch.
Novennia takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty to Dexterity and must make a DC 15 Reflex save or be glued to the floor, unable to move. Even on a successful save, you can move only at half speed. If you are glued to the floor, you can break free by making a DC 17 Strength check or by dealing 15 points of damage to the goo with a slashing weapon. You do not need to make an attack roll; hitting the goo is automatic.
The goo becomes brittle and fragile after 3 rounds, cracking apart and losing its effectiveness.
The second sorceror fires a dart of magical energy at Yix.
Yix takes 3hp of damage
Novennia, Neb and Krokod to complete the round

Is it a standard or move action to attempt to break free?

Given the options, I'd say a standard action
Delgata Pesur |
Pulls out a scroll from his backpack.
Think that is a full round action. Scroll of vanish.
Brand Firestorm |
Brand manages to snap himself back from daydreaming and sends a wisp of smoke into the fray. It makes its way toward one of the sorcerers and swirls around his head.
Brand casts Daze at one of the sorcerers, DC 14 Will save. Sorry for the delay.

Attacking as best she can while her feet are trapped, Novennia swings at the sorcerer not momentarily incapacitated by Brand's spell.
