Neb reloads fast and fire again at the large tiefling...

attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

and misses

Neb and Delgata both attempt to hit their foes but both fail to connect.

The digger swings its massive claws at Novennia. One fails to hit but the second connects and tears into her flesh.

Novennia takes 4hp of damage

Brand, the mummy, the rest of the tieflings, Krokod and then Novennia

The digger is injured but none of the others are

Brand grits his teeth and pulls a bolt out of his side, wincing at more pain than he's ever felt in his life. As they reload he knows another bolt could put him down. He calls forth more of the oil and sprays it at one of the tieflings crossbow, coating it thoroughly.

"Shoot me with that, you bastard!"

Brand casts Grease at the tieflings crossbow, Ref DC 15 or drop the weapon. Also Brands AC is 17 with mage armor, just making sure that's the one you're using, crossbow bolts hurt!

Liberty's Edge

Male Catfolk Bard (Street Performer) 3

I didn't take cure light wounds? Bah, rookie mistake.

Brand is able to disarm one of the tieflings as the crossbow he's holding slips out of his grasp.

Once more the mummy raises one of its hands and magical energy darts forth from its fingertips and this time strikes Neb.

Neb takes 3hp

The remaining tieflings fire in a scattergun fashion, hitting anything would be a miracle. But miracles do happen and Yix takes a glancing blow from one of the bolts.

Yix takes 5hp of damage

Korkod and Novennia up now to end the round

Will try and get flank on the digger, if not will just attack something I can get flank on.

attack with flank: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
damage with sneak attack: 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 1 = 9

I'll convert 1 point of damage from that bolt to nonlethal.

Novennia grits her teeth as the crossbow bolt slices her arm open. Though blood slowly seepes from the wound toward the hilt of her greatsword, she remains strong, sweeping her sword back across at the digger.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 1 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (4, 1) + 6 + 2 = 13

Novennia ignores the blood and manages to get a decent blow on the digger tiefling. For decent, read lethal as she ends its life with a blow to its chest.

Krokod and then we're into a new round. Thanks Delgata, I'll use the roll wisely

Krokod, somewhere in the middle, whirls and uses a quick prayer to heal brand. Flames seem to dance along Brand's skin, but rather than wounding him further, instead the heal some of the wounds he has.

Sorry, Brand. Terrible roll on my part

Krokod watches the wizard speak, then shrugs,

Ignan:
"I'm afraid Delgata made more sense than that just did to me, and he's spouting nonsense."

New round - Yix, Neb and Brand up

Delgata seems wrong-footed by the demise of the digger - as he was moving to get a clear shot on the brute. He switches his attention to one of the crossbow wielding tieflings but misses.

...Maniacal Laughter...

Brand hurls a ball of fire at the mummy but misses by some margin - and as he casts the spell, the mummy is able to fire a spell back at him - but this also misses.

Delgata, you pre-posted your move and I used it at the top of the round. I'll hold the above action for the next round

The mummy fires a small orb of acid at Brand. This time it hits.

The tieflings once more fire at will and once more, one of the four connects, a bolt winging Delgata.

Brand takes 2hp, as does Delgata

Feeling the acid burning his skin just makes Brand all the angrier. Who are these villains to stand against them? He forms another burning ball in his hand and throws it at the linen wrapped monster, hoping it takes the damn things head off.

Elemental Ray (Touch): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Damage(Fire): 1d6 ⇒ 2

Tit for tat. Elemental Ray 6/7

Yix attacks but his approach fails to single out any one target, and he fails to hit any of them.

Delgata see the post above - "Delgata seems wrong-footed by the demise of the digger - as he was moving to get a clear shot on the brute. He switches his attention to one of the crossbow wielding tieflings but misses." I haven't used you latest post yet...

Novennia takes a huge swipe at the mummy, hitting it with a clever blow that appears to have done a huge amount of damage.

Krokod - we'll say yes

Summary - Neb and Krokod to act. Four tieflings and a wounded mummy left. Brand and Delgata have pre-posted their next actions

Male (3 out of 4 first level spells left) Human (Irrisien) Sorcerer (Fire)- 1/HP: 6/8, AC 11 (t 11, ff 10); F: +1, R: +1, W: +3; Perc +1//Init: +1

Shoving his hands forward, Krokod spits and hisses as flames erupt from his palms to engulf the mummy and as many of the tieflings as he can without hurting an ally.

Burning Hands DC save 15, Reflex for half 2d4 ⇒ (1, 2) = 3

Neb seems a little lost without his Eidolon and does not act. Krokod meanwhile allows flames to engulf the group of tieflings.

The mummy gets the worst of it as the bandages catch alight. The creature goes down, clearly dead. A couple of the tieflings are slightly burned but nothing serious yet.

New round - just four tieflings left - two are injured. Yix and Brand to go (as Delgata's action is detailed below)

Delgata flanks the tieflings and his mace hits one full on the back of the head, the skull no match for the weapon and the creature topples forward - clearly dead.

And then there were three

Yix frowns at his blow, trying once more.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12

Neb reloads his crossbow again and fires...

attack1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

damage1d8 ⇒ 8

Brand fires and although the flames brush past the tiefling, it fails to do it any damage.

Perhaps it's contagious as Neb too fails to connect with any of the foes.

The three tieflings fire in unison and one manages to wing Delgata.

Novennia and Krokod up (I will bot Krokod if necessary)

Delgata takes 3hp

"Damnit, Del! You okay back there?!" Novennia yells over the sizzling of Brand's fire, the sound of crossbow bolts thudding into wood, and the hissing of her own sword as she picks out her next target. The one who shot her flanking buddy seems like a good start, and she decides to introduce him to her blade.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 7 + 1 = 24 +1 is from Bless; not sure if flanking.
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Novennia picks on the tiefling that appears in best shape and by the time her blade is finished that shape is in two parts. She manages to part the body from the head with a fluid motion.

Krokod defers any action rather than waste any spells.

New round, two injured tieflings left - Neb, Yix and Delgata to go first

Seeing the tiefling unaffected by the flames he tries to gain a few more seconds to come up with an alternative strategy. From the air he conjures a wisp of smoke that one of the tieflings breathes in hoping it will fog the creature's mind.

Brand casts Daze at one of the tieflings DC 14

Brand casts a spell and it appears to have an effect on the 'third' tiefling.

Two of the tieflings fire crossbows but both fail to hit anything.

Novennia and then we're at the top of the round again - Neb, Yix, Delgata and Brand feel free to post. Three tieflings left, one appears dazed.

It suddenly occurs to Novennia, while caught up in the deadly dance and thrill of battle, that there could be a bit less bloodshed. She sees the eyes of one of the tieflings cloud over as Brand hits him (or her - she's having some trouble telling in the dim light) with some kind of magic. "Good shot, Brand!" she calls enthusiastically, spinning the hilt of her greatsword slightly. She sweeps it in at the back of the dazed tiefling's head, attempting to hit him with the flat of the blade - after all, there could be a bit less bloodshed.

Attack: 1d20 + 7 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 7 + 1 - 4 = 19 +7 attack bonus, +1 from Bless, -4 because I'm attempting nonlethal.
Damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (1, 3) + 6 = 10

The first tiefling goes down from a savage blow from Novennia. There is no blood and hopefully she was able to pull enough of the blow to simply knock it out. Either way, it's not getting up any time soon.
