Cool. We're a proper pack. Now you just need rage and Amplified Rage :)

Unrelated to that, Kiboko will have his armour enchanted to +1 (1000gp).

I might eventually take a level of barbarian. The next 3 levels will probably be 2 Drill Sergeant Fighter, 1 Beast Rider Cavalier just to get tons of feats. After that, I'll probably add 1 more inquisitor for the divine favor bump, animal focus, and 2nd level spells. After than, I am unsure. Either barbarian, or more inquisitor. A 5th level of inquisitor gets me bane and a few other nice abilities.

My goal for this game: Surround the big bad with you and Mvumbu, and crit him, thus triggering AoOs from you, Kuuma, and Mvumbu, thus completely splattering the enemy.

Qatala will take a lvl dip in psychic (faith) as allows a lot of self buffs plus bless. Also if i read it right use detect magic plus my pherenic points for some insight based ac for a round. Great for dealing with charging into a room 1st.

My active spells will be bless, feather fall and liberating command :)

Wands of See Invis, Darkvision, Longstrider, Shield and Hightened senses.

Also at 7th lvl I take the feat greater trip so get AoO's when i trip people as well plus another +2. 9th will take viscous stomp.

I think the Phrenic Amplification you're thinking of is this one Qatala. Unfortunately you won't benefit from detect magic, because you'll be gaining an insight bonus to AC for 0 rounds. There are a bunch of decent 1st level divinations on the psychic list though.

I'm not really clear on whether or not activating a wand or a scroll counts as casting a spell. A wand is a "spell-trigger" item, and a scroll is a "spell-completion" item. I'm inclined to think that activating a wand doesn't count, but a scroll does?

Ability damage does not heal when affliction is cured per the PRD.

PRD wrote wrote:
Cure: This tells you how the affliction is cured. Commonly, this is a number of saving throws that must be made consecutively. Even if the affliction has a limited frequency, it might be cured prematurely if enough saving throws are made. Hit point damage and ability score damage is not removed when an affliction is cured. Such damage must be healed normally. Afflictions without a cure entry can only be cured through powerful spells, such as neutralize poison and remove curse. No matter how many saving throws are made, these afflictions continue to affect the target.

Emphasis in the bold.

Liberty's Edge

Mosquito Witch Handouts

This is new to me, I've always thought that drain stays and damage is removed after "cured". From what I understand now, damage cures normally with time, drain needs to be cured magically. Am I correct now?

And would the ability damage be considered an affliction that carries over to the next scenario? Or is it understood to be cured during downtime?

Grand Lodge

I believe that ability damage should all be removed by the next game (as it heals naturally at a rate of 1 point per day, I think, and an unspecified amount of time passes between games). Drain does not heal naturally and would carry over unless fixed via a restoration or something like that.

Yes, ability damages heals during downtime. Unless the scenario is set up to occur over days, the only normally practical way to heal ability damage during a scenario is with Lessor Restoration.

Here's what the Organized Play Guide says about:

Dealing with Afflictions (pg 16)

At the end of a scenario, a PC might have been afflicted
with any number of possible afflictions, such as blindness,
a curse, deafness, a disease, or a poison. Verify that the
player recorded any such conditions in the notes section
on his Chronicle sheet and initial next to what he wrote
(see below). It’s specifically important that conditions be
written legibly so the player and subsequent GMs can
understand them.

If the PC purchased the casting of a spell to remove
the condition, you need to make sure the player recorded
that information in the notes section at the bottom of the
Chronicle sheet. If another PC cleared the condition by
casting a spell, this information should be listed in the
notes section with the casting character’s full Pathfinder
Society Number written in next to the spell’s name. If,
during this scenario, a character resolved a condition
gained during a previous scenario, check that the
condition is listed as cleared under the notes section on the
Chronicle sheet for this scenario, and verify that the cost
for resolving it or the PC who cleared it has been recorded.

Note: Any affliction that would result in an unplayable
character must be resolved at the table once the game
ends as explained in Chapter 4 of this document. If the
character cannot resolve an affliction that would render
her unplayable, mark the character as dead.

CONDITIONS, DEATH, AND EXPENDABLES(pg 19-20)

In certain cases, the events of an adventure can affect a
character even after that adventure has ended.

Conditions: Unless noted otherwise, all conditions
gained during an adventure, including death, must be
resolved before the end of the session. A condition in this
context includes an affliction, a negative effect, or an effect
that is intended to mechanically affect your character in
a negative way. If such a condition isn’t resolved by the
end of play, the character should be reported as dead and
becomes unplayable. However, a few conditions need
not be resolved by the end of play, including permanent
negative levels, ability drain that does not reduce an
ability score to 0, becoming a fallen member of a class
that requires an atonement spell to regain class features
or spellcasting abilities, and conditions that impose no
mechanical effect.

Permanent negative levels, ability drain, and nonmechanical
conditions being carried over to the next
session should be recorded on the Chronicle sheet.

Players are encouraged to share their physical resources
in order to resolve any and all conditions. They may
not pool Prestige Points, even if they’re from the same
faction. Characters can also sell off gear, including a dead
character’s gear, at 50% of its listed value to raise money
to purchase a spell that will resolve the condition, though
they can only do so in a settlement and they cannot sell off
any items found during the current adventure that they
haven’t purchased. Characters can use the rewards from
the Chronicle sheet they earned in order to resolve any
conditions. Characters who die during an adventure and
are raised receive full XP for that adventure, as long as they
completed at least three encounters.
A character who ultimately doesn’t resolve conditions
during or immediately after the adventure must be
marked as dead (see below).

So it kind of contradicts itself, but other than dead dead, the most liberal interpretation is that most things can be carried forward if properly recorded.

Any ability damage that you can heal over time without actual risk of death or permanent disablement is healed automatically in the indeterminate period between scenarios.

If you happen to have a disease (or other ongoing affliction) that causes CON damage, the strict rule is that you have to make a series of Fort saves before you leave the table, until you are either cured or dead. In practice, seeing as outside of "active duty" you can receive full best rest and medical care in a Pathfinder Lodge, I haven't seen GMs call for this. At a face-to-face table it causes a burden on limited time, too, and the odds of actually succumbing to death from disease when you are receiving full-time care are very very low for almost all PCs. Some people do dump CON though.

Short version: ability damage will heal on its own over time, ability drain is permanent and can only be removed with magic (Restoration and its Greater version, or equivalents).

Also: nice result from the Gust of Wind spell :) It's been a favourite of mine since forever.

I usually run it as, if it heals naturally over time. I usually and waive it at the end of the scenario, since it takes care if itself.

More permanent feature, ie-ability drain, diseases, curses and the big D Death, I will make them resolve it before we wrap up.

Question 'bout my faction sheet...since I'm guessing we'll be facing Dalirio again, can I count him as my Nemesis for this mission? From my faction sheet:

NEMESIS (4+ goals): Once per adventure, you gain a +2 bonus on your next attack against that agent, and if you hit, you deal additional damage equal to the number of goals you have completed. Alternatively, you impose a –1 penalty on the agent’s next saving throw against a spell you cast; the penalty increases to –2 if you have completed seven or more goals.

Wasn't sure if I can just choose any enemy as my nemesis once per adventure...

Kiboko's purchases:

upgrade cloak of resistance to +2: 3000gp
replace scrolls of spider climb and gust of wind: 300gp
wooden holy symbol of groetus: 1gp

Kiboko wishes to learn whether or not there is any wisdom in Groetus' teachings. Perhaps at the heart of the Cult of Nature's Cataclysm there is a pure and beneficent desire to purge the corruption of civilisation from nature. Or maybe they're all madmen and evil slavers. Kiboko isn't sure yet.
