Korez says, "Which of you will actually tell us where to find Jamila? We are not concerned with your squabble."
GM Batpony |
They both insist to Korez that their respective elder know the whereabouts of Jamila. And insist they are both superior to the other.
You have confidence in both that they know where Jamila is, they both speak boldly but you believe they have nothing to hide.
Glorin Too-Tall |
Glorin glares at Inira for a moment, and says, "I'm holding my tongue. But you know whether I stand with wind or stone."
Jian Sheng |
Before they move on, Jian Sheng examines the statues of the elemental lords in earnest and recalls that they play a key role in the binding magic of the Osirian wizards.
She checks that her notes on the hieroglyphics and the strange flowers are still with her, then notes down the chamber and its statues as well.
Venture Captain Norden would be interested in this...the flowing sand, that air chamber, those hieroglyphics, the strange flowers...now this. Too many to be coincidence.
When the other group of elementals appear, Jian Sheng feels a slight twinge of irritation, but maintains a calm demeanor "If I recall correctly, the Goanron Triumvirate strive to keep the lost city of Tumen buried, whereas the Ainsi believe that uncovering it can advance the desert to its true glory. It is my duty to uncover lost knowledge, and as such, my blade is with the Ainsi"
Xavian Slingblade |
Should we not continue with the one that has escorted us to this point?
Xavian Slingblade |
Yes, he has been demanding. I was just pointing out that he has gotten us this far.
Glorin Too-Tall |
"As if it were necessary to give us the information they need to. None of this matters if we can get the same information without running the gauntlet."
Korez |
Korez says, "I can't see a difference between them to be perfectly honest. Each would be able to help us accomplish our task and whatever happens between their people is beyond that. I will go with whichever side the group agrees to."
GM Batpony |
Seems like 2 clear votes on Air(JS,Yliss) one clear vote on earth (Glorin), and one whichever (Korez), I'll give it another 12 more hours, but if no one else chimes in I'll move us along with the majority rule.
Xavian Slingblade |
I'll go with the majority, which seems like air. I had Xavian leaning that way anyhow.
Inira McCullagh |
"I am inclined to lean with Glorin on this, but we did agree to work with the air beings first. Despite the dangerous nature of these tasks, we did agree. And I am one to be keepin' me promises."
GM Batpony |
As a group you decide, somewhat reluctantly, to follow the air elemental, and you start to make your way out of the area. However, as you turn away, the earth elemental makes it known that he is not pleased with your decision. She yells "If you don't join us, you don't join anyone else! Burn them!"

Xavian, a little quicker off his mark that the others, throws a dagger right at the big elemental lady. However, his dagger proves to be not that effective against it.
The Earth elemental moves forward and attacks Jian Sheng whom she has a clear sight to. 5 ft step and full round slams. And within a single round, Jian Sheng is knocked unconscious.

Combat doesn't go Yliss's way as he screams for some space, yet nobody seems to budge. Korez turns to help his fallen ally. Inira flurries a few arrows, however the sun must have caught her eyes as they mostly miss, with only one taking the bite.

Jian Sheng was taken by surprise when the elementals turned violent and before she can move was knocked down by the heavy blows of the large elemental.

withdraw as a full round action, moving while prone for 10 feet
GM Batpony |
Iyasset continues to cause a nuisance to the fire elementals. He speaks to you as well, "You are the prophets are you not? Show us your strength!" he then transforms himself into a large whirlwind and moves himself into the path of all the fire elementals before returning back to the security of the air. Xavian, could you help clarify your damage rolls? Not too sure where the d8 comes from or why one modifier is +5 and the other is +3.
Xavian stabs the elemental and does a good amount of damage to it, likely it would fall it the next round. On the other hand, an angry Glorin swings his weapons with great strength knocking out and immediately sending one of the fire elementals into a vortex that sends him back into his home plane.

Xavian Slingblade |
Well it shouldn't be a d8, should be a d3. I must have been thinking of the d8 for sneak damage as a blade master I guess. The difference in the modifiers is because of the penalty for offhand in the duel-wielding.
True Damage, Main Hand: 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
True Damage, Off Hand: 1d3 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Jian Sheng |
Jian Sheng ignores both elementals and tiredly pulls herself to her feet. She pops a single berry into her mouth before extending her hand and sliding a wand from her wrist sheath. She activates it and a faint nimbus of energy surrounds her.
"Let them say what they will Korez. Actions speak louder than words. And our duty first and foremost is to the Pathfinder Society and each other, not squabbling tribes of elementals"

Checking one box off my Ally of the Green boon. The boon doesn't specify what type of action counts toward using the goodberry so GM please discount it if necessary.
GM, by my count I took 32 (13+16+3) points of damage from the elementals, but was healed 10 (6+4) points by Korez. And now healing by 2 points from the goodberry I should be at -20 total. Have updated my current life total in the bar
GM Batpony |
@Xavian, I forget you get penalties to str dmg on offhand. Got to update my rogue!
@JS, eating a goodberry should be at least a move action mechanic wise. So you're at -22!
Korez helps Jian Sheng to get up as she prepares herself to unleash the power of the Prophets. Yliss is one step ahead as he grows himself to monstrous proportions. His first slash hurts the elemental but not enough to take it out. His second slash missed it completely.
