Seren and Kitajo has formed an amazing rearguard, beating down every mook that comes their way. The medium dances around Kitajo as he fells the previous orcs, taking the moment to regain the fluidity that makes her so lethal, and one of her blades falters in its position, still backed by too much force to be as accurate as she has been.

There's a moment of heated debated between Seren's voice, the man's, and several pauses for a silent speaker before the Tien voice wins out and shouts. "The rear is held! We should move against their vanguard to shatter the hammer!" There's an undertone of an annoyed sigh in harmony to the words.

Since the major threat is out, going to fast forward a little so that everyone can have an opportunity to post. You really want to get rid of the blue now or it'll be another one more round of silly bandits!

Varuna holds the front with Hangust boldy. His rapier speaks for him as he stabs another wound into the orc. The orc bleeds out in pain and falls unconscious.

Seren, on the other hand, holds the back of the wagons with Kitajo as they continue to take out bandit after bandit. She takes one more out with a single twirl, but in maintaining that perfect movement the other bandit slips right by her.

Reposting this: Since this is likely the last round for this combat, think about where we want to go next in your next post. You have the option of heading straight on into the vanguards, or taking out the archers. There is an alternate option of Orc leadership open to you after your first encounter, at this moment enough tables has secured victory at the orc leadership. i.e. Additional victories at orc leadership does not count towards successes so it is best if you keep that for last if you want the extra challenge.

We'll assume travel time in between encounters is d6+4, so buffs that last more than 10 minutes will be still active. I've not been keeping a good track of individual buffs. I believe only Varuna has buffed (individual) with long arm and mutagen.

It is night in this here parts of the world where Kitajo and I are. Bearing in mind tomorrow is a Monday morning, I'm going to do the longer update now and bot Kitajo.

With a single strong armed punch, Kitajo takes out the final bandit. Everyone keeps their eyes peeled for further threats but whatever that was lingering around the corner likely fled off in fear.

You have time to heal yourselves before you travel to the next area, make your rolls as needed. Also you know what you are anticipating so allow yourselves to buff up as needed.

After much deliberation of where it is to head to, the majority of the group decides that the vanguards cannot be overlooked and that taking them head on is the utmost priority.

A mass of orcs and their monstrous allies charges down the foothills. Remnants of an ancient dwarven outpost provide cover and an obstacle in their path; it is the most defensible position from which to confront the enemy vanguard.

seven formidable looking foes threaten the path up ahead. Three animals, which what you understand from the lore around here is known as Coyotes. Cousins of the wolf, and just as bloodthirsty and vicious in the wild. The Orcs are armed with a falchion, ready to draw blood with their mean looks. The Orc standing behind them look likely to be a captain of some sort. He is armed with a spear, a stowed falchion and what looks to be a couple Javelins.

Liliana, you didn't explicitly mention it, but I assume you used your wand of bless before combat!

The coyote's immediately dash to the oncoming group! Hangust manages to let an arrow fly right into the side of one of the Coyote as they come forth. The Coyote with blue eyes leads the pack by charging right at Seren, while the other two follow behind, but move enough to take a bite at Hangust and Seren. Their attempts are relatively feeble. Seren manages to get a slice into the charging coyote while the coyote retaliates with a rather harmless bite.

Kitajo, you might be looking at the wrong map, We've moved combat to the vanguard map (1st page of the slides), you're not in range of any enemy to flurry, and there are two blues here! Coyote and Orc. I've delayed you for the time being.

The Orc warriors all march forward maintaining a formation as they do. As they march they draw javelins from their back and throw them towards the front lines. With an intense battle between man and beast, the Orcs show they aren't really skilled with their javelins and the majority of their attempts fly wide. However, one fluke shot strikes Hangust right in his shoulders.

With precise timing and precision, Varuna takes the opportunity to strike and down the last orc in melee. However with his whole team taken out, he is slightly intimidated and it is affecting his psyche.

It's all good. I resolve in post order anyway to make it easier on the game.

Liliana has been unlucky with those rolls! We might already have started another encounter if you were luckier.

Liliana let's a bolt fly in the section direction of the leader, it serves not to attack but distract the orc. Torrel and Varuna take the opportunity advance attack! The combination of Torrel's ray and Varuna's swift swordsmanship down the distracted orc with ease.

end combat!

You have a choice of the leaders or archers now. It's been clarified that the leader encounter still counts as a normal success regardless of how many tables attempt, so it is open to you. We're close upon advancing to the next part, so there's a chance of not being able to complete the next combat. The difficulty is a step up with the leader.

The group is able to take a breather momentarily after their victory in the frontlines. However, their celebrations are cut short as news of your courageous spirit has travelled across the orc lines. It has attracted the attention of one of the orc leaders, a war drummer that goes by the name of Mugek. The ground shakes as he approaches the group. Two monstrous ogre's accompany him, ready to smash with their giant clubs! With a toothy smile and declares in an awful accent speaking in the common tongue, “I’ve been waiting for strong opponents. Your deaths will give me honor among the Black Suns.”
