Ed's antennae quiver with agitation. I knew it was the Kings. I believe your analysis about their role as Astral Extraction goons is exactly right, friend Jabaxa. I am not a killer though, at least I'd rather not be.

Where is The Acreon now?

Jabaxa soaks up the buzz of his liquor and the comments of the group with equal aplomb.

"Astral Extractions are like any Big Corp i guesses. Like yah say - hit 'em where it hurt in their interests... Mess wit 'em, but openly takin' dem on wud be a poor idea. Bad enough my crew knockin' noggins wit their D'Kings..."

His ears twitch as he flashes a glinting smile;

"Freinn Ed no a killa? D'Swarm inside all yah bugs... You let it out when needed an' be a killa ama thinkin'... D'Acreon? Hangin' in station space if de newsfeedz to be believed. AB-SEC got it onna lock-down. No one in... but no-one be comin' out. Where the Hardscrabble crew at? That be the crux... That ana Rock it towin'..."

The gang leader nods to himself and pours another round of the sharp liquor before continuing;

"D'Kings run t'ings outta an day&nightclub called Fusion Queen they own. Legit front for all de less dan legal activity they into. Neighbourhood is grim, but club gotta an edgy feel dat all the little trend-settas from nice sectors lap up. Make 'em feel crime-time I guesses..."

Kris:

The gang’s boss, a human woman named Ferani Nadaz took over leadership only a few months ago by savagely killing the previous boss. She and her fiercely loyal Vesk bodyguard Vrokilayo Hatchbuster rarely leave the place preferring to run their burgeoning crime empire from within the Fusion Queen

"Hit 'em in their backyard!? Y'all got stones like Drift Rock! Heheh. Busy club... should be easy n'uff to gets in. Gettin' out de tough part. Loads o' patrons... No-one like to call AB-SEC on account o' the narcos being imbibed methinkin'. So... sneak in. Eyes on D'Kings. Take 'em out slow.. an' work up to Ferandi an' her 'Vesk..."

Jabaxa whistles to himself as he mulls the scenario.

"Or you find a way to clear D' Queen. Set off alarms. Get the peoples out and face down D' Kings..? Me I prefer to sneak an' shank. Crowds make chaos an' chaos you can use. Be tough to swallow howevers you bite it..."

Am hoping you'll all go John Wick on the Kings :)

Love that movie

Kris, finger tapping on the table listens to Jabaxa, sipping on her sake before responding.

"Perhaps a combination of both methods is called for. Ferani and Hatch likely aren't going to leave the club, however with enough incentive a number of their goons just might."

"Jabaxa, is there any part of the Kings territory you've been itching to cause a bit of havoc in? Not asking for a straight up assault but guerrilla warfare. Hit and run, draw the mooks out of the club."

"Kora, Gentlemen, ready for a night out on the town?. Inside the club we could spot the players and taking them out one by one, preferably quietly, but otherwise if necessary"

Shirren are not the Swarm. Ed mentally sighs at the ongoing misconception of his race. He looks hopefully at Paeon, The Acreon may have information on the fate of the Hardscrabble Collective. If it is inaccessible, then the Kings may be our only lead. I'd rather focus on infiltration than just a massacre.

"Iffen y'all want to speak with the HC, ye should head to the Dust Runner. She sits out the Armada. Ask fer Cap'n Otal Serissi when ye hail her..."

DC15 Culture:

The Armada: Absalom Station’s unofficial fifth sector is a vast and shifting swarm of ships, both transient and permanent, that constantly orbits the station.

By spurning the station’s docks but still remaining nearby, the crews of the Armada’s ships can gain many of the benefits of living on Absalom Station without being subject to more than the most basic laws and taxes. Ships constantly raft together to make black-market deals, and some of these conglomerations have become permanent, forming tiny space stations in their own right. Still, the majority of Armadans are simply independent ship crews who feel safer keeping to themselves or aren’t interested in paying recurring docking fees.

The government of Absalom Station is content to let ships remain in the Armada indefinitely so long as their crews don’t cause trouble, as they appreciate the convenience and safety of having some of their less savory elements separated from innocent citizens by a mile of hard vacuum.

DC25 Culture Check (DC20 for any Akitonian Natives):

You recall that The Dust Runner is a freighter that takes her name from the desert homeworld of her Captain - Otal Serissi; one of the red-skinned humans hailing from Akiton.
