Game Master Auke Teeninga

The goblins of the dungeon's upper level took more than one trinket from the ancient laboratory that dwells beneath them. The wizard that created these items also performed dangerous experiments, many of which have gone out of control over the years. Stranger still, someone appears to be using the ancient equipment with sinister results.

Ebon moves towards the 'free' goblin (blue), but doing so provokes from the goblin in combat with Muluk.

Ebon uses his club (which he named Hammer) to deal some major damage to the goblin.

Talwin steps forward and lunges his longspear towards the goblin Ebon is fighting

Holding the bloodied longspear in one hand he picks up the wand.


The last goblin tries to hit Muluk

He then tubles towards the Master Switch!

The bomb explodes upon impact setting Talwin ablaze and the burst also hits Muluk and Ebon for 6 fire (Reflex DC 15 for half).

Reflex Purple: 1d20 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (9) + 1 - 5 = 5

The downed goblins are caught in the blast as well and the air stinks of burned flesh.

Talwin is down and burning! And this burning keeps on going. (BTW, if you haven't noticed yet, Krenar is an alchemist)

A possible solution to survive this round and probably the next 3 rounds as well:
Ebon: Channel to heal, 5' step, close door
Muluk: 5' step, pick up wand, CLW on Talwin

Hopefully the CLW & Channel (1d6+1d8+1) is enough to get Talwin conscious.

Talwin: Stand up and move towards pool, take some fire damage
Targost: Move to Talwin and push him into the pool, dousing the fire

Next rounds: barricade the door & heal up.

Fast forwarding...

For the next two round Krenar throws bombs against the door, but the door holds. damage 1: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) + 3 = 12damage 2: 3d6 + 3 ⇒ (4, 2, 2) + 3 = 11. After that he will stop his bombardment, as he finds out it will take too much resources to blast through the door and the barricades you are setting up.

GM Notes:
Strong wooden door: Hardness 5, Current Hitpoits 12/20

You all have about 5 rounds to recover & prepare for the second wave.

You loot the goblin bodies and find a totla of 6 potions of CLW, 1 alchemist fire and 1 acid flask.

Soaking wet, but grateful to still be alive, Talwin hurries back into the room and grabs two cure potions. He swiftly changes the effect of his judgement to fast healing.

If we are still in combat, then technically my judgement should still be up. But if the ruling is that combat ended, even temporarily, then I would not have it.

After healing a little, Talwin grabs the longspear and looks around for another way to get some health back.

We need guys who can hit hard at full health. Muluk, with smite and challenge, you're our best bet right now, since Ebon's fatigued. We still have 3 potions, so I recommend 1 to each of you and Targost, probably the third to Muluk unless he has a lay on hands he can use. Still ni holy symbol, so I don't think I can cast.

You are still in initiative, so you are still in combat, so judgement is on!

Next to the 6 potions there's still some charges left on Talwin's wand of CLW.

Ebon raged for how many rounds this combat?


I only counted 5 rounds of rage,so still 5 rounds of fatigue.

Ghosting more healing (3 from the potions, 3 from the wand)

More healing on Ebon: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (8, 7) + 2 = 17

I forgot about the acid...is it used up when used as a focus, or can I get more than one shot from it!! Either way, I will exchange the fire for acid flask...if that is alright

It's a Focus, those aren't used up. If it was a Material component it would be used up! And you can probably have the acid and at least 1 alchemical fire. (I would suggest you get 3 (and the rest one per person) as you are the only one currently without an actual weapon.).

Talwin moves near the table and readies and attack to hit the thing when it breaks through. He swiflty changes his judgement back to destruction.

This is the kind of fight I bought that adamantine weapon for! Anyway, +2 to weapon damage with current judgement. Readied attack plus AOO if it gets to me.

It's DR/- so adamantine wouldn't help.

The Kit had 5 alchy fire pots so there were 6 total, take what you need Talwin.

The machine moves through the rubble of the table and attacks Muluk!

The machine then takes the secondairy damage of the fire: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Krenar takes a step back and throws a bomb on Ebon.
