Game Master Auke Teeninga

The goblins of the dungeon's upper level took more than one trinket from the ancient laboratory that dwells beneath them. The wizard that created these items also performed dangerous experiments, many of which have gone out of control over the years. Stranger still, someone appears to be using the ancient equipment with sinister results.

Yep, kinda figured he might...

"Let the goblins go! If we take down Krenar, we can offer the same to Snarltongue here. Muluk, we need to heal up quickly, and grab yourself a spare club if one's around. I'll guard the switch and someone stay close enough to that cell door. We can't fight two enemies right now!"

If possible, Talwin will position himself 5' in front of the switch, spear ready for anyone trying to open it.

Quick question, did anyone want mage armor cast on them? I have 3, but am not sure if we cast them already or not....I can take my turn doing that if there is a need.


@Targost: Yeah, I assumed them cast just before you entered! You've got a few rounds before the enemy is upon you! Make the best of it. @Ebon: Indeed the two goblins made a run for it down the South entrance.

None of our gear is around by chance? My thought is we heal up to full HP if we can, then have someone cover each entrance with a readied attack o smack Krenar on sight. Targost should stay away from the doorways. Not sure how to best position myself with a reach weapon. Looks like three possible entrances for Krenar, just not sure which on he'll pop up at. Although only one door is covered by the fog of war...

Only gear around is the 'operating tools' and the battleaxe wielded by Snarltongue... Oh, and we are still in initiative!

Ghosting Muluk

Muluk will use the CLW wand on Targost CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 and move over to the rack to get one of the medical instruments to use as a weapon.


Ghosting Talwin

Talwin casts protection from Evil on himself and positions himself in the center of the room.


The door opens and you see three goblins (without mutations!) and a metal snake.

The first goblin lobs a small flask to Talwin.

To Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Misses scatter: 1d8 ⇒ 6 Hits the wall and noone gets splashed by the alchemical fire

The second goblin moves into the room and throws another flask!
To Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24 Hits Talwin for fire: 1d6 ⇒ 1 and splashes on Ebon for fire: 1 = 1 (Talwin will take another D6 fire next turn unless the fire is extinguished).

The third goblin moves into the room and throws another flask!

Ebon hits the metal snake with his club and damages it although the iron skin lessens some of the impact.

OKies. Sorry, I get used to playing my Maguses(?plural?)
and use one hand to attack. Currently playing 3 magus now, only one PFS though..

The mutated goblins continue their escape.

Krenar moves into visual range, drinks something and shouts some instructions (in goblin) to the bottlethrowing goblins.

The cobra steps behind Talwin and attacks, but To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 misses.

One labhelp (red) throws another vial toward Talwin To Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 Hits for fire: 1d6 ⇒ 4 and Talwin is on fire again.

The other two goblins step forward and attack Talwin

Talwin and Muluk try to hit the metal snake, but fail to hit it.

Targost & Talwin:
The metal snake is an Iron Cobra. It has DR 5/- and a high AC (mostly natural), but doesn't deal that much damage.

Ghosting Ebon

Ebon attacks the Iron Cobra To Hit: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23 hits! for damage: 1d6 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11! and he knocks the head off the Iron Cobra.

"That's how you do it! I'm on fire!"

Literally, take fire: 1d6 ⇒ 1

He then steps back to give Targost a clear shot.

Krenar shouts more instructions. Even though none of you speaks goblin you recognize anger in his voice.

The blue goblin throws an acid flask towards Talwin.

confirm: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 does not confirm

for acid: 1d6 ⇒ 1 and splash on the rest acid: 1 = 1

The red goblin seems to be out of vials and tumbles towards Muluk to prevent Talwin attacking with the longspear. acrobatics: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Fails.

AoO Talwin: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 for Damage: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 = 10

Talwin severely injures the goblin, but not enough to bring it down, so he attacks Muluk. attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 misses.

Krenar bellows "You fools! You could have been part of the greatest discoveries the world has ever seen, but you decided to betray me! You will burn for that!" and he drinks another potion.
