Sorry if I've been posting a bit spotty. I have nasty bug which seems happy to keep me from eating or sleeping. I will try to keep up at least one a day though.
...sooooo.... I may have messed up my plot; forgive me for the plot reasoning to be a little creaky. The boy was meant to be the halfling you were meant to find, but I forgot briefly and thus had to justify the 'takes you home to his mother' bit.
I'm seeing a pattern whereby Erick speaks and plans where the group goes, and the rest of you chime in with small comments. While this situation is definitely better than an alternative where you don't post at all as there's little to say, I would appreciate it if at least one other person contributed to the planning role. To maintain player agency I try not to move my PBPs on unless at least two players have agreed on an action.
I've been sick for the past two weeks, and 3 hours of sleep in a night in a high end goal right now. If I were to be doing planning right now, we'd look at a train wreck.
Sorry if I was unclear, I'm definitely not objecting to Erick having something of a take-charge role. In the past I've contemplated requiring groups to elect a team 'leader' in charge of identifying doors to be unlocked and requesting skill rolls. Just more wondering if one other person could try and share his role.
Erick is the one who is great with talking to people, Clyde is good for being a scout with Henry(and mobile turret) plus wilderness survival. Clyde doesn't have much people skills.

So at this point we basically have to decide how granular we want to get with Pathfinder's survival, eating and travelling rules. Do we want to account for every meal on every day for every mile, or do we just want to bu a mlot of trail rations to handwave. I initially envisaged this campaign as involving much of the former, but when I ran it IRL it ended up being the latter.
If you fellows are keen on the former, it's more or less going to require you to actually look up the trail ration and travel rules rather than just rolling survival checks and asking me.
Mules, they are way cheaper than horses, and can eat anything.
I'd suggest we go with a middle of the road approach. We buy enough to feed everyone based on whatever our assumptions are (N Days x M People + X safety factor), and then if everything goes according to plan, we have X left over, and we don't bother too much beyond that. If things go sideways, then we keep track of the food and rationing and supplement with hunting on the way, etc.
Sorry everyone, last week was busy. Got back late friday night, slept through the weekend, and then got hammered Monday at work because nobody could do anything without me last week. *sigh* I'll be caught back up by this weekend and normal posting will resume.
Looking back at the discussion thread, it appears I forgot to post what was going on in this one. My apologies again for that. My father fell and broke his back, again. I had to go to Louisiana for the week to deal with that and him, and had no way to post due to all the stuff going on.

Hunter's Bond
Spoiler:
At 4th level, a ranger forms a bond with his hunting companions. This bond can take one of two forms. Once the form is chosen, it cannot be changed. The first is a bond to his companions. This bond allows him to spend a move action to grant half his favored enemy bonus against a single target of the appropriate type to all allies within 30 feet who can see or hear him. This bonus lasts for a number of rounds equal to the ranger's Wisdom modifier (minimum 1). This bonus does not stack with any favored enemy bonuses possessed by his allies; they use whichever bonus is higher.
The second option is to form a close bond with an animal companion. A ranger who selects an animal companion can choose from the following list: badger, bird, camel, cat (small), dire rat, dog, horse, pony, snake (viper or constrictor), or wolf. If the campaign takes place wholly or partly in an aquatic environment, the ranger may choose a shark instead. This animal is a loyal companion that accompanies the ranger on his adventures as appropriate for its kind. A ranger's animal companion shares his favored enemy and favored terrain bonuses.
This ability functions like the druid animal companion ability (which is part of the Nature Bond class feature), except that the ranger's effective druid level is equal to his ranger level –3.

Updated Henry to slayer 4. Added trapfinding (since we seem to lack anyone to deal with traps). Maxxed out disable device as it is now available, and upped a few other skills.
