If he did already provoke it, then she'll stand and attack defensively.

Jory stands and shoots an arrow at the hound but it flies wide, skipping off the ceiling.

Kyra likewise stands and while the hound eyes her, it does not have time to bite. She swings her blade in an overhead arc, but fails to connect with the flying dog.

The hound spins around and bites again at the woman in front of it.

Hound bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18 for dmg: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 2) + 4 = 10 and WILL vs fear and trip: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 vs CMD

The hound nearly chomps on her, but she bats its maw away with her blade at the last second (defensive makes the difference).

The woman attempts to stand and Andrazi punishes her with a nasty slash with his kukri across the side of her neck.

She retaliates with her sword and cuts on the shoulder and arm.

Jory lets off two arrows at the flying hound. Both hit, but do slightly less damage than expected.

Kyra swings her blade strategically over her head at the hound. She nearly guts the beast but it flies just high enough to avoid most of the damage. It still grunts at the small cut.

The hound turns to face the dwarf that shot it...

Andrazi gets a better look at the room he was fighting the woman Nualia within. She appears to be bleeding out still.

Wide stone ledges of red marble line the curving
walls of this room, which is well lit by four
burning skulls that sit in each corner. Three chairs
rest in the room, and both stone ledges are covered
with old books, scrolls, teeth, bones, scrimshaw
artwork, jars of deformed creatures soaking in brine,
taxidermied animals and limbs, and other strange
objects.

To the north, a large round fountain filled
with frothy blue water fills the room with
the gentle sound of bubbling.

The woman remains unconscious while half the party decides her fate.

Kyra starts searching through the large pile of notes.

There are diaries and journals that would take hours to read.

army of goblins against Sandpoint and burn the town
to the ground, not only to offer it all as a burnt offering
to Lamashtu in hopes of being made a half-fiend,
but also to fuel the runewell in the catacombs below the town.
