"It WORKED but perhaps your wand is a KNOCK-OFF BRAND," Conan says with a frown. "I can TRY AGAIN if you like?"

(Up to you if you want to burn more charges off it, Noisy; Conan's willing, so just roll the d4s if you need 'em!)

Conan explains about the scrolls, brows arching at the 'disintegrate' one. "That is a powerful spell and I am glad it was not aimed at any of us."

I'm pretty sure that 24d6 spell that hit San Xiao was a disintegrate... =)

"The perils of shopping at Abdul's Discount Wand Emporium, I suppose." Noisy responds with a grin.

Hrmm... dunno... I suppose I could live with 10 less hit points... (famous last words!)

Yes, the green ray was disintegrate. And we ID'd the magic items. are you talking about the Jar? Most of stuff in the room is parts and parts of parts.

Kn:Planes DC19:

The golden limbs laying around are part of inevitables called Zelekhuts. Normally the creature looks like a mechanical centaur. Golden, clockwork wings sprout from its back, and its arms end in barbed chains.

Luisila can determine the smoking manikin was a possession haunt of some sort. She would suspect it is somehow linked to Badru's heart stone and is not totally destroyed.

"Though it would have had to have been pretty egregious to attract such as those, wouldn't it?"

"Then again, maybe they were just lost." He adds a moment later with a grin.

The priestess looks beyond the current chamber. “Fredrik and I can use the make whole wand. I wonder if we’ll need it to make Badru’s heart activate the Beacon or something?”

Fredrick expends a channel but gets the impression the haunt is tied to the fate of Badru...or specifically his gemstone heart, which still glows faintly.

Where do you head once you have checked out the small workshop? Tunnel to the northwest, or chambers to the south and east? Or back to Saruna with your story and body of Badru?

Rebels Map

The party decides to head back to the south and see where Badru was going.

What do you want to do with Badru's body, leave in workshop? Carry it?

Looking east you find...

This large chamber houses a permanent ring around a central pillar

As you look into the chamber you spot the broken remains of half a dozen zelekhuts.

Luminous glyphs cover the central pillar, providing dim illumination.

Two pair of inanimate constructs appear to be standing guard in the room. Two are large-sized and crystalline. Two are person-sized and appear to be fashioned from wood.

I vote to carry Badru’s body with us. I wonder if we can use Weekend at Bernie’s tactics to get across the Construct Room safely?

Luisila spies the corridors leading off from the large amphitheatre-like construct room.

“I guess to enter the Treasury we have to battle the construct-guardians first. At least they shouldn’t get the drop on us.”

Luisila *taps* her front teeth with a fingernail. “I wonder if we can just walk across carrying Badru? Noisy or San Xiao, is there anything special about these constructs?”

I'm ok taking Badru along with... though Noisy's not loud enough to wake the dead until after this scenario (and he levels)... so not quite a proper Bernie =)

Noisy will just take a 10 on all the knowledge checks for a 21 on all.

Invincible? As in the mythic template? Interesting if true!

Noisy ponders the room thoughtfully. "I can't imagine it would have been hostile to Badru." He offers. "But if he was trying to flee here, they probably won't much like us."

"The big ones appear to be some sort of glass golem." He adds, indicating the larger guardians. "And those, wood golems." He indicates the other ones.
"Though all of them seem to have a slightly sturdier build than I'd expect."

"These might be the guardian types Saruna mentioned." He adds.

"If so, the Sage Jewel might get us past? Though we'd have to go make it first." He shrugs slightly. "Seems like we're going to have to do that eventually regardless."

Saruna said we'd need a sage jewel to use the Beacon, as well as to bypass some of the other 'devices and guardians'. These might be just that. If so we might want to go back and make ours before continuing in here? If only not to have to destroy the security system."

Did Saruna or Badru have any noticeable religious iconography on them?

Rebels Map

@Luisila - ok as far as the key

The body of Badru, as you have come to know already, is heavier than one made out of mortal flesh.
Figure ~300lbs as far as carrying capacity and movement impact.
Which person(s) are carrying? We can volunteer Fredrick as one...

Neither Noisy nor Luisila recognize the glowing runes on the golems.

Noisy recalls there was statue of Thoth, Osirian god of magic, writing, and the moon, and patron of archivists and libraries in the temple area with Saruna upstairs.

The golems, as Noisy calls them, so far are not reacting to your presence as you stand in the cave outside the room.

Round #1: Conan freedom of movement, Luisila defending bone, invisible; ☤ Noisy -17 + grappled ; Fred -16 + grappled

A familiar, ghostly voice echoes from the chamber’s south-west. “Conan, can you confirm they’re incorporeal undead?”

If he does Luisila *casts* anti-incorporeal shell (full round action) and takes a 5' step to the north-west.

If he doesn’t, she would like to reconsider her next actions please ;)

Liberty's Edge

Male Half-Elf HERO 11 | HP 101/135 | AC 30 -T16 -FF 26 CMD30 | F+13(15) R+11(+13) W+11(+13) (modifiers apply) | Per +5(+7), Init +8 | Rage: 11rds * Claws: 5rds * Perf: 8rds

(GM- if it's not undead, Conan's at the same bonus rolled for all his other Kn skills give or take, excepting Arcana, which would currently be a +13. He will of course identify the creatures aloud once/if he knows what they are.)

Rebels Map

A miasmal form roils as barbed tentacles emerge from the central mass, coalescing into razor-sharp talons and claws.

Kn:planes DC 18:

These are creatures from elemental plane of air known as Mihstus
You get one question defense attacks etc
.

I will allow actions to be updated if you wait for Conan to describe them.

Any elemental vulnerabilities, please! and if I get a second, per this: "A successful check allows you to remember a bit of useful information about that monster. For every 5 points by which your check result exceeds the DC, you recall another piece of useful information" then I'll go with something else about defenses (DR/immunities/resistances) that may apply.
