The archive’s magic has sustained the slow growth of the plants in this room.

Unless otherwise noted, the floors and walls are smooth stone.
The rooms and halls have 20-foot ceilings, and magical illumination provides dim light.

There is an eerie fog emanating from the doorway to the east.

Even at this distance, all of you easily hear what appears to be the clash of a battle in progress, with the smell of sulfur and flashes of light coming through the fog to the east.

Savage - the Clutch easily hits the creature, so it is grappled. However, being fuzzy on the grapple rules...please help clarify for me. Also, we may have to re-adjust positions on the map based on the below...spoiler fine for any.

Savage latches on the arm of his raggy assailant and pulls/pins him to the edge of the fog. The rest of you are able to see him more clearly now that he is closer.

grapple checks?:
I re-read the turtle clutch where you can free-grapple but I am not seeing where to get damage with that turtle clutch attack.
Also during your full turn, pin+damage and move+damage I am not seeing where the extra damage comes from...so I am probably missing something with greater grapple.
greater wrote:
This feat allows you to make two grapple checks each round (to move, harm, or pin your opponent)

I am familiar with (pin *or* damage) and (move *or* damage) from the normal grapple rules/flow.

Finally, if I am calculating correct, dragging is half speed and fog is half speed, so a single move is 12.5' (of his 50' normal) - so he should be able to get to the position indicated and push the undead out.

Move action: perform a Dirge of Doom which will cause all opponents within 30' to become shaken, no save.

Note: Noisy is a Dirge bard (as well), so can affect undead as if they were living creatures with all mind-affecting things (due to his Secrets of the Grave class ability)... so this should work on both the elementals and the undead things.

Cast Defensively vs DC 21: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 17 + 2 = 32

He ends the beat suddenly with a few arcane words, and one booted foot coming down in a loud emphatic stomp.

Casting Fear down the hallway to the east defensively, just in case those elementals can reach. Again, this will affect the undead and the elementals in a 30' cone. Willpower Save DC 20 (and hopefully with a -2 on their saves for being shaken)
Drew the cone on the map from his starting position.

Main goal being to get whatever's burning stuff to get off of whatever its burning! =) (and to look cool while doing so!)

After which, he takes a small step back towards the others.

5' step back... which unfortunately puts him right beside the raggedy-undead thing he couldn't see a moment ago...

Knowledge (religion): 1d20 + 13 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 13 + 2 = 31

which means he probably has to save now vs that paralysis effect? If so: Will vs fear: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 8 + 2 + 4 = 31

Sam Xiao steps back from the undead that has been dragged in front of him, and fires at it with his longbow.

"NICELY DONE," Conan booms approvingly at the undead being dragged out to them. He takes a positioning step, then swings twice with his large blade. He is not yet angry at all of this.

Rebels Map

Sorry Luisila - it was the party's turn. I will do a better job with summaries. This is a chaotic encounter, and I may need to finish up later today.

==Round 3 summary==
Fire and Fighting continues in fog.

Savage chokes and drags an undead looking creature out of the fog.

As Noisy states, the rest of the party needs to make a WILL save vs fear (DC18). Noisy and Savage already passed.

Noisy casts Dirge of Doom in the Hallway

GM:

Undead 3d20 ⇒ (19, 19, 4) = 42 vs Doom
Elems 2d20 ⇒ (8, 18) = 26 vs Doom

more to come later today...

Will: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (1) + 14 = 15

Instead of shooting San Xiao freezes in horror at the undead monstrosity dragged from the fog.

Which is comical since Savage has his scary toy in a headlock .
