How do the natural attacks stack with our normal attacks? Are they secondary ones that we can make at -5 along with our normal full attack routine?

Any tips on how to add the undead template in herolab? I selected undead anatomy I under "spell adjustments," but it didn't add the template to my PC.

Yoshi: I can find no further information on your question. Since it does not explicitly say, I am going to rule that you gain these attacks as secondary attacks that may be used at your discretion. I will also rule that you are proficient in the attacks, so no penalties will be incurred if you chose to say drop your sword and "go native" or say you have two attacks and choose to swing once and bite once it will be at your usual bonuses. Does that make sense and seem fair?

Slick: Honestly, I have no idea how you would add that in Hero Lab. I use HL myself, but I wouldn't know where to begin. Personally, and especially since this is a temporary adjustment, I would figure out the bonuses etc by hand and just type that into a spoiler on my profile.

So.. early start or do yall want to wait??

@GM That is more than fair. Especially for an unarmed fighter, being able to get in the secondary natural attacks on top of his regular flurry will really add to Yoshi's fighting ability.

Early start is no worry for me.

If unarmed are okay with natural weapons, when Yoshi uses brawlers flurry he will attack at ...
(BAB is +5, STR is +5, Amulet of Might Fists +1; Weapon focus (unarmed) +1; Two weapon Fighting -2)
+10/+10 (both unarmed, doing d8+7)
+6/+6/+6 (bite/claw/claw, doing d6+3 - as secondary they do half strength, but his amulet of mighty fists would still add to the damage).

Of course he normally does lots of tripping and gets most of his attacks through AOO. But wanted full disclosure early on in case this throws the balance of the encounters. Essentially most martial characters won't be able to benefit from one or both claws as they will be holding a weapon.

To be fair, much of the time Yoshi is carrying a long spear to make AOO trips with, so he may be down one claw if he doesn't decide to drop it.

Ouch.. thanks for the heads up, Yoshi. That's some pretty heavy output, and considering the premise of this scenario, its going to bypass a lot of the DR that will make the fights interesting. I will wait until we get into the thick of it before I make any decisions on difficulty though. If the dice bots are being unfriendly to begin with (a trademark for my games, btw) the situation may solve itself!

I'm up for starting early. Also, I don't really see the secondary attack being much of an issue. For example, I'll be wielding a pair of sawtooth sabres, which means I'll be negating my claw attack. I'll still get a bite, but I wouldn't be able to successfully swipe with a claw attack while holding a weapon. Now, I don't know dick about unarmed attacks, but wouldn't that also apply to you, Yoshi? You'd either punch the target with your martial arts, or swipe them with your claws, wouldn't you?

Unarmed attacks are not with any specified body part. As a brawler I imagine a lot of Yoshi's are kicks and head butts. Well, he is a tripper by nature, so he is used to using his legs.

I even got myself got iron booties once when I was expecting to stomp on alot of Fey.

One hand is likely to be full of a long spear though. He generally only uses that for AOOs though.

Slick: Is there anything to add to the description of what we're seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling? INT or WIS checks? Not b@#$%ing, just asking.

I have been wrestling with this since the beginning of this scene. The book is rather vague on the manifestation of this thing, so most of this has been my flavor, and I have been trying to give as much hint as I could that something unnatural was going on. For example:

The area is covered in an unnatural pall, and even natural sounds seem dulled.
You notice the sound of religious chanting and frantic, sloshing footsteps running through the swamp, but it all has an ephemeral and ghostly quality to it
The otherworldly sounds
Yes the sound and light are emanating from the grave
dire sense of foreboding accompanies
Ghostly sounds of combat mixed with echoes of calls to Pharasma
sense of righteous indignation and ignoble anger washes out from the grave

This is something that I have honestly little experience with as a GM or as a player and have been at a loss to try and explain without giving it away. This is further complicated by the fact that no one has K. Religion. I will meet yall half way here, and tell you that if your character has ever encountered a spirit, ghost, or incorporeal creature, you can liken this experience to that one, as something clearly unnatural and otherworldly is going on. I have added a post over in gameplay to try and throw some more light on the subject, but my own flavor may still be lacking in the description and knowledge that you so desperately need and want.

IF you really must know..[/spoiler:
This thing is a Haunt, as I am sure you have figured out by now. However, the text only states what is below and has no further description of what happens, why, or how.
Haunt: Though the Pharasmins buried him as best they
could, with all the rites and wards they could provide to
prevent his rising as an undead, their best efforts did not
preclude the trauma and pathos that surrounded Joktan’s
death from manifesting as a haunt on the very ground
where they cut him down.
Tier 5–6 (CR 7)
Joktan’s Haunt CR 7
CE haunt (a 10-ft.-by-10-ft. section of swamp)
Caster Level 7th
Notice Perception DC 21 to notice the sound of religious

This is out of Waki's area of expertise. It seems to be acting like an odd haunt, but he has nothing to work with those...usually relying on divine in the party to address.

However, if we have no holy person, his first inclination would be to chase down the Pharasma cleric we just left and either ask for advice or something to help (not sure what that might be). He is not sure how far away the holy party of priests has wondered though. Open for other ideas. Really out of his league on this one.

Just realized I may have chosen the wrong pregen for this scenario (okay, Yoon is still a better choice than Harsk...).
Do we have the Undead subtype, or did the Chalice merely make us seem undead, ala Undead Anatomy?
If it's the former, then we're immune to nonlethal, and Yoon cannot accept Burn (doesn't completly nerf her, but it'll be very constraining.)
If it's ala Undead Anatomy, then we'd still be subject to nonlethal damage, and she'd have use of all her stuff.

Should've thought of this at the start, but I was playing catchup. Either way, I can deal, just need to know.

Waki: Sorry I missed your post.. There really was nothing that you could have done with the knowledge you had, but you met both of the other criteria for a secondary success condition and gained the second prestige anyways! The secondary criteria was to fulfill at least 2/3 options, and you had the other two solidly in hand.

Uktar: Are you sure you want this on your -15? You can apply this to the character that you originally signed up with as long as you do so after the game that he is currently in.
