Jamir "Hamstring" Montajay, CrusaderWolf, and Jawhar, I'm currently figuring out how to invite you all to the campaign thread as players. I'll IM each one of you later today so you have my e-mail address. If you know how to invite someone into a campaign please let me know. As I said there will be some growing pains as I'm new to Play-by-post. Hoping we get past any difficulties and have a great time. BTW thanks for your interest and participation!

I think we may show up on the "Players" and "Characters" tab automatically once we post here or on the Gameplay thread (we'll find out in a minute).

If it's helpful, I have a list of 7 or 8 forum posts about PbP gaming that I have found helpful. I think it's public, so if you follow this link you should be able to get to them.

Just to let everyone know: I'll be closing recruiting after I get 6 legal tier 1-2 players. Also if you don't have herolab please try and email me a pdf of your PFS character sheet and any chronicle sheets you may have. If you are unable to send pdfs word documents are my second choice. I will not accept any players character sheets without the corresponding chronicle sheets.

The exception of coarse is 1.0 or new characters. If for some reason you have difficulty sending me a pdf or word documents..Your new character profile will do as long as it is complete.

Keep in mind, I use Herolab to track combats, encounters, Hit points, resources, ect.. so if you have/use hero lab please send me a link to your character! If you don't use Herolab please give me a couple of days to make a proxy of your character in my program, before we get rolling. This allows me to double check that your character is PFS legal and will eventually, greatly speed up the rate at which your GM can post on the Game play thread.

This guy, I'll repost once all other books not on your list have been eliminated, which for him is about the equivalent of changing a trait or two.

Right. I've changed over to my new character. Downloading new patch on HeroLab; should have a character in an hour or two.

@Craggark - I think you need to go in through Pathinder Society logo below Starfinder at the upper left, then My Pathfinder Society, then you should be under the Player tab where there is a list of your PFS characters. Click Edit for the one you want to add an avatar to, then just below the faction choices you should have the option to Add Character Image. Pick one from the options available, and you're good to go.

Alright next question - as a player and a character in this PbP thread - I'm showing up as my main Paizo profile. How do I change at least my character to be Craggark?

I don't understand dinketry your post in the game play thread showed up as Craggark and the post you just posted in the discussion thread was also with the Craggark profile. Anyway, time for bed for me..I'll check in again tomorrow see if we've filled the ranks.

Hmmm. I think I've got some things sorted - like preferred message boards profile. I'll figure out the rest as we go...

I don't believe so. I just keep the tab open in my browser.

I'm finalizing my starting gear - lucklesshero, I assume there is no problem picking up a potion of CLW here?

I don't believe so. I just keep the tab open in my browser.

Or just refresh the Campaigns tab on your Paizo People page - should show any new posts in any online campaign you're actively playing in.

Hello everyone!

We have 5 players now and a few inquires about a 6th. I'm going to wait until tomorrow night (monday feb 20th) to see if we can fill the 6th slot. I won't have much time to post today but look for a couple tonight. If a new prospective player inquires about the last open slot on the recruitment thread maybe one of you could let um know there's only one spot open and I'm basically gonna take things on a 1st come 1st serve basis.

You might want to steer the last slot toward a skill monkey or true arcane caster...as your party has plenty of melee/ damage dealers. Here's the party breakdown so far. (please let the whole group know if you prefer to be called by something else than your character name in the discussion thread)

Tusk (Dwarf gunslinger)

The introduction information on the campaign page mentioned Irrisen, so that is where I was assuming we were.

I imagine you've read the module before? I am simply curious. If there is a source of information out there that I am not using, I'd like to know about it.

I have been trying to find out more about the geography we are in, but haven't found much on the wiki or other sources.

Kalsgard is the capital of the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, southwest of Irrisen.

I can't recommend the Inner Seas Guide hardcover book enough - it's such a great source of info and flavour.

If your wondering what I'm talking about look at the recruitment thread.btw I'm closing recruiting

Level 0/1 scrolls (cast at 1st level)
Potions of level 0/1 spells (cast at 1st level)
+1 weapons
+1 armour and shields
Wayfinders

I think that's all of the magic things that are "always available" for Pathfinder Society.

For my two cents, I think a 1-2 level character would be a better fit than a 4th level character. I'd also like to see an arcane caster join us over a skills monkey.

In other words, I'd like to see a level 1-2 from both applicants before I choose
One over the other.

I don't think I've played with either, or if I have not enough games with either player to get a feel, either one is okay. As far as characters we'll be okay, it is said that you can take 7 wizards into just about any scenario and have the players pass with no less than a C-, unless it is a super dungeon.

GM request

Can you guys figure out how to post in with the same avatar in the discussion thread and game play thread? It gets a little confusing as to whom is posting when I see different avatars everywhere.

If the choice is between a lvl 1 and a lvl 4, I would definitely say go with the lvl 1. I prefer when all characters are at about the same level.

By popular demand -Radayah- will be our 6th. However, I did PM Something Wicked and asked him to lurk as a reserve for a couple of days (with instructions to have a new 1st level character at the ready).

I've told -Radayah- to have all character info emailed to me by tomorrow night.(2-21)

Cool! It's my first PbP, but I've done a lot of lurking/researching before now. I'll confess that the recent Know Direction podcast episode discussing PbP games sent me here. I've got a new baby at home, and little to no spare time for a decent face-to-face scenario.

Radayah had some issues with her character so she won't be joining us. I've PM'd Something Wicked and asked him to throw together a skill monkey or arcane caster by tomorrow afternoon and get to me so I can enter it in to my Herolab.

If I get no response from Wicked you guys mind just going with 5? let me know...
