Lady Rosalyn Luminass |
Elizabeth was off at unseen collage, learning how to be a Mage, So she was spending a few days in the grounds of her own privet Demi-Domain, Sapphire had come and now they where drinking tea.
"So Liz is settled in no then?"
"Yes and seems to be doing well, I think she will learn what she needs there for now."
"and the city, wonderful place, all those rings and shops, o and after?"
"University, I was thinking that parallel with the Deep space University for space scouts"
"O! Thrux Academy, yes that's a good idea and she will like that, how is she with technology?"
"She fine to a point, but with time my hope is she will get used to it, so why all the questions by Aunty Sapphire?."
Sapphire looked at Rosa in that, please don't call me that look.
"Well an acquaintance of mine, let me know that it seems there is war afoot on your dear old Golarion and knowing that you spend most of your time on that Lizzy is there, I wanted to come and tell you myself. I know how much you like to nip theses things in the bud."
Rosa looked at her sister a hard look of this is no joking matter
"Go on"
Sapphire carried on,
"Well its seems, out there in the world wound, a Demon is forming a war band and hopping to sneak attack a Hell Knight strong hold. I think they had plans to do it later today. I know you would not be that interested But... its seems a large party of settlers, woman Children came with the knights thinking the area was safe, one mush shudder at the thought of the blood shed."
Rosalyn Jumped up, walked over to a desk and pulled out a map, she came back to the table, and spread it out in-front of her sister, knocking her own tea out the way. She said one words very firmly.
"WHERE!"
Her sister still sat, waved her hand over the map and then brought down a finger onto a strong hold symbol.
"O I think some where.... there"
She said with a smile.
"You waited until now to tell me this!"
Sapphire smiled at her sister,
"Of course I did sister mine, if your ever going to rejoin our ranks as a fellow demigod your need all the publicity you can get.
who would know about the Angel who stopped a war, Much better to gain followers by being the Angel who showed up in the heat of battle and saved the day."
Rosalyns head bowed down in expiration, from under her hair she said with out anger but with sadness.
"I wish you would for once not try to help me ascend, you and the others, I will reach that point on my own in may own way. Why must you interferer so."
Sapphire looked as her sister, a pitying look.
"It's our way Sister, just as being head strong and stubborn is yours for your last 5 lives, in fact I told the others you had always been but Amber said no then..."
Rosalyn, looked up and cut her off mid gossip
"I just wish you had told be before the attack started, you know your way out. I have to go of course"
"Of course you do, and yes, god remember! dropping in and out of demi plans is kind of our thing. Well if your mad at me for being late passing on the info then let me give you a hand Sister, O an we will be in touch."
Sapphire waved her hand, Rosalyn tried to say
"NO WA.."
To late, Rosalyn was falling in a hot blue sky, below she could see the back and scorched earth smouldering realm of the world wound. She folded her wings behind her and want into a power dive, she headed for the signs of battle bellow and the Keep ringed by fires.
"I just wish they would let me know there plans BEFORE they started them"
Like a star falling she headed for the most densely cluster of fighters.Bringing magic up to aid her she slowed at the last moment and landed in the mix of Hell Knights and world wound abominations.
It was a long night, in the end it came down to a face to face sand off with the Demon and one side and herself and the hell Knight commander on the other. That fight until the sun came up, when at last Rosalyn had the Demon subdued, only to see his head lopped off by the Hell Knight commander. In disgust she headed into the keep and went to task healing the fallen and hurt. Later the Hell Knight commander and thanked her for her aid, She nodded but was not happy about his actions.
"War is a hard thing to deal with, there is no reasoning with the filth from the abyss. One can only hope to kill it quickly."
Rosalyn looked into the man, He was hard and cruel, all discipline and control. She stood her full hight in the curt yard of the keep, spreading her wings and letting her light shine out. All around could see her, many stopped and looked on. Her words came soft like a spring wind.
"Do not be to swift to destroy that witch you think you know as corruption, for often corruption is where you least expect it to be Brave Knights, in the souls of men blind by Dogma or fanaticism."
She would say no more on the matter but went back to healing.
Lady Rosalyn Luminass |
The Hell Knight keep commander.
"A toast to our saver, We may not agree on something but Smiting the evil spwarn from the Abyss we do. To the Lady Rosalyn Luminass"
The knights in the hall raised there glasses to her and drink deep.
She had revered to a lesser form, now human sized and with out wings she sat at table next to the Count Karingo Hell Knights keep commander. His wife in his other side.
"it is good to show the men and women of the hell knights, that others fight with us, and I mean what I said. Your arrival turned the side. That Demons surprise attack would have taken this keep. I am most grateful. But you did not yet tell me how you know of it, and why you came to our aid. We are not.. cut from the same cloth as they say"
Rosa looked around the room then back at the Count.
"A came to protect the Children, I sometimes know when Children are in trouble, with out hope."
The light from her body was striking in the dark hall, but not it shone even brighter, as if reflecting her moods.
"Why did you bring your family's to your keep Count. Was it pride? did you think that doing such an act would show the world wound that you where not frightened by it. That risking your Children would show just how committed you are to your courses?"
The Count looked uncomfortable with the sudden way the conversation had gone. After saying little at all now this angel was questioning him on his command. But next to him his wife was having no such feeling she looked on very much in agreement. She had had this very same argument with her husband.
Rosalyn went on.
"Or was there a deep logic, men would fight all that much harder of they where fighting to keep there family's alive. Deep down was that the motivation for you order to make them bring them here. humm. I can see my the look on your face, the anger you feel to may words that I have found my mark. You mist trust your own men, they have have vowed to fight to the death for your courses. Yet you still mistrust them to the point your sort other motivations. I see into you Count more than you can possibly understand. As such this is what is going to happen. The wives and Children will be coming with me. While they are here they will be a magnet for every Demon seeking a reputation and slaves, its hard to turn a Hell Night to the Abyss but a child. O there souls are so simple to corrupt for demons. Your pride and weakness in belief in your own mean lead to that attack and it WILL lead to more. No I can see you own wife agrees. You should have heeded her words when she voiced her concerns. So they will come with me and I shall take them back home to safer lands. You men will fight just has hard, but sleep better, the Demons will sniff out others to hunt and I will have done what I came here to do, and that is save the Children not you. That is unless your pride wants to get in the way and you feel showing me who is in command is worth the lives of Children Count."
The anger in his face was plane for all to see, but just as he was about to answer her his wife placed her hand on his arm. He shot a look at her then held her eyes. They where pleading, he looked now at the hall and the hell nights looking at him, he could see it on their faces, see the same look as his wife's. They wanted this, they wanted the family's safe. He took a deep breath and calmed himself.
"Your words cut deep my-lady"
He said to Rosa
"but they are true, I am a fool to my pride it seems and so to show that no hell knight can have such a weakness, I consent to your request, as a reward for your timely help."
He stood.
"After taking counsel, I here by order that all none combat family members return home, while we have this heightened period of conflict. The risk to them is to great and Men should be thinking on the battle alone. The Lady Rosalyn has offend her services in achieving this, please see my wife for the details. Tomorrow we start to reaper the keep so eat, drink tonight for tomorrow we have a lot to do."
The next few days where spent moving family's to Rosa's Demi-plane, then back out to there home locations. Sapphire helped begrudgingly.
"You know I found two children trying to catch my cat in a box this morning, Rosalyn why must you always help?"
"Because that is WHO I am sister, what would you have me do, just show up save the day and then run off. It's never that simple in real life. Actions have consequences, there are always knock on effects. We won one battle but that keep then because a challenge to others, more will come to take be because the reputation it now has. Taking away some of the attraction while keeping the none combatants safe is the WIN I was after. There will always be more Demons as long as there is a abyss, there will be more hell knights. The balance go's one, it swings yes but go's on. I just happen to want to be nice about the swings."
"Now you sound like Diamond, she's ways going on about balance."
"Well she has a point to a point and you sound like Ruby"
They both laughed at that as a cluch of kids ran past playing tag.
A few days later Sapphire opened a portal to General Gorthoklek Audience Hall. Rosalyn and Sapphire stepped throw, Followed by the family's and children from Count Karingo Hell Knights keep. They walked up to the thrown and both bowed, Two 18' high angles glowing like day stars. General Gorthoklek had been talking to a courtier who now stepped aside. He looked you at Rosalyn puzzled.
"I must say its not often I get visitors from the higher realms, and not ones with such a entourage of followers. If I am not mistaken that is Countess Karingo's. So Lady's what beings you to court.?"
Rosalyn looked around to The Countess Karingo who went to the front bowed and then handed a letter over to a court messenger who handed it to the General. He opened it and read it, After a moment He placed it back in its envelop and handed to the messenger.
He smiled.
"I see, well its seem we owe you a debt Lady Rosalyn Luminass, I will of course make engagements for the Counts Karingo orders in regard to his men's family's be followed. The Empire thanks you for you assistance in this."
He stood,
"Will you and ..."
"The Lady Sapphire Luminass, my sister"
Rosalyn said.
The General bowed.
"Will you and Lady Sapphire Luminass join me for dinner, the day is late and I would like to hear of the great battle that Counts Karingo an his men won for the Empire."
Rosa nodded and nodded the message, this spin on this would be clear.
Sapphire just smiled, she was having fun and that was all that really mattered with her.
The night was long and the talk of high politics and world events.
They left the next day, The General Gorthoklek seemingly happy to have made a new contact from the higher plans. Rosalyn happy she had do a small good thing. Sapphire came to her and bid her farewell.
"Thing to go, places to be, you know Rosalyn, life is all rush rush rush. Now your on the road, keep this up and you will get a following and if you do it right ascendancy in no time."
"Yes yes but I am not in that much of a rush, I want to do it right with a little harm as a can. I know its slower but it means a lot to me. Look its been fun but no more interfering from any of you. Make it cclear to the others all right."
"Of course I will, no more interfering got it, no give me a hug and I will be off sister"
They hugged with real refection and then Sapphire was gone.
"Well lets see if they can keep out of it shall we"
Rosalyn said to herself.
"Just this once"

Sazzat Tamm |
“No boy, there's no need to stable the mount, I just keep him here in my pocket”
- Sazzat Tamm, speaking to a stableboy shortly after his arrival in Riddleport as he pocketed his Obsidian Steed
Sazzat Tamm arrived in Varisia nearly three months ago after having not visited Golarion for over a decade. Upon his previous visit to this world he heard a number of intriguing stories of lost civilizations, ancient artifacts, and brewing conflicts. Now that he is a full Factor within the Brazen Claw consortium and free to pursue his own agenda, he has returned to Golarion looking for an opportunities with the potential to advance him further.
He arrived in Varisia on Golarion three months ago from the Plane of Fire upon the back of his Obsidian Steed. Having no set agenda, he used the overland flight power of his steed to travel to Riddleport. He has heard rumors of the Cypher Gate in the past and he wished to see it with his own eyes.
” … and what's your cost per unit and daily capacity for smelting adamantine?”
- Sazzat Tamm, speaking with Tromard Roldheim, master of Riddleport's Gas Forges
Tamm was pleasantly surprised when he discovered the Gas Forges in Riddleport. While the Brazen Claw's workshops in the City of Brass are more than capable of smelting any metal required for arms manufacturing, finding another manufactory capable of smelting high-hardness metals on the relative backwater could prove of benefit at some point in the future.
The dwarves at the gas forges at first dismissed this outsider, but his persistence and knowledge have convinced them that he is a man that knows his forge-craft.
”I am from … out of town and your libraries are exactly what I need to familiarize myself with the history and lore of the region. Not to mention that the views of the Cyphergate are most impressive.”
- Sazzat Tamm, making conversation with Elias Tammerhawk, speaker of the Order of the Cyphermages
The Cypher Lodge has proved the ideal base for Tamm as he researches Golarion in general and Varisia in specific. While he uses his given name amongst the locals, he has maintained something of his anonymity through the use of his magic helm, using its power to Alter Self into the form of a half-elf with his same build and features, but leaving out his scaly red skin, curved ram's horns, and tail. The members and staff of the Cypher Lodge suspect that he is more than he appears and are curious as to why he seems to always wear a hat, but his coin is good and he makes for a interesting conversationalist, given his extensive knowledge of the planes. The Cypher Mages have become convinced that he is more formidable than he appears.
”It's so nice to find a place where there's no problem with ... being yourself.”
- Sazzat Tamm speaking to a courtesan as he removed his helmet and shifted back into his tiefling form
The House of the Silken Veil is another pleasant surprise Tamm has found in Riddleport. He has let down his guard with a number of the tiefling call girls that work in that worthy establishment. No doubt Shorafa Pamodae, the high priestess of the temple of Calistra is considering how to best use the knowledge that this out of town visitor is more than he appears.
Lady Rosalyn Luminass |
She smiled, a the child's defined question a gods defined question. She looks at him with out saying a word for a long. Then she spoke.
"You are me, and I am you, many lives we have lived many reincarnations we have had, our live is the here and now, we seek and learn with in it. you are me, and I am you, we ask and we seek."
Once she had said the blessing of the 12 she carryed on talking to the god child.
"We have lived and what did we learn of murder. We walk in tall grass on a hot summers day, all around us life. Our feet pressing down on tall grass teaming with tiny lives, some lives being owned by loving fathers and husbands who unaware of us. Find themselves crushed under our feet. As cold blooded a murder as any, killed because we wanted to feel the sun of our face and feel the grass under us. We have taken one life to save a million and we have given million lives to safe just one. They are we and we are they. Then what of love, Many the loving father and husband we have ended, who's tyranny had drenched them in blood. Many a loving fathers and husbands we have killed, who's religious fanaticism has drenched them in blood. Many the loving father and husband we have ended, who's greed has has drenched them in blood."
She sits a moment to let her words rest
"learning only comes when events, consequences and facts are fully known. How often have we been the murder, How often the murdered. What did we learn each time? That is a much better question to ask ourselves, what did we learn? You and me and I am you, We have leaned of murder and Love and each life we take is our own."
she smiled at the child and looks to see his facile reaction
Kawai the Kasatha |
"It's not you, it's what you were doing." A flick of the wrist and the dead was done. Without another glance at the body, Kawai quickly searched the room, locating the safe. Behind a picture, so cliche.
He quickly searched the contents and pulled a small record book from the back of the safe. Ignoring the money, Kawai took a last look around the room before casting a spell to relocate himself.
The next morning Kawai crouched on a roof, hidden in the early morning shadow of a chimney as he watched the changing of the city guard. It didn't look like there was any more activity than usual. Another spell and he was looking down into the courtyard from the shadow of a watchtower. He could hear the shuffling of the guards above him as they spoke of their spouses and mistresses.
Placing a glove on the roof Kawai activated the magic of the glove and stared through the roof into the room below him. The captain was alone, sitting at his desk. Smiling, Kawai once more cast a spell. He appeared in a dark corner of the room where he just stood and watched.
After a minute of listening to the captain shuffling through reports, Kawai coughed, startling the captain.
Dammit! Kawai! Stop doing that! Use the door, like everyone else.
Laughing, Kawai drops into a seat near the fireplace, stretching a leg over one armrest he settles back into it, I keep telling you that you need a ward in here, your security has holes in it. Anyway, here's the records. Kawai pulled the small book from his pocket and tossed it to the captain. Someone was already through it, but there is still enough there for you to break up the entire gang.
Kawai didn't mention that he was the someone that had removed a few select pages from the record book, magic work didn't come cheap. The captain would make enough arrests that Kawai would be able to collect a few protection fees from the names he kept to himself.
How'd you, never mind, I probably don't want to know. Your fee's on the table there. The captain gestured to a small side table where a coin purse bulged, next to it a smaller purse sat as well. Small one is for the bounty. I assume you took care of that too?
Of course, she knew it was coming. Didn't really beg much either. The really bad ones don't though. Kawai stood and collected the bags holding his fee. Until next time... Kawai stated as he left, by the door. It was always amusing watching the guards try to figure out how he got in.
As he walked up the steps of the temple, he pulled the large bag and dropped most of the contents into the offering bowl. Walking through he halls, he quickly located the offices of the high priest. A quick knock and he slipped inside, closing the door behind him. Father, it is as you suspected. Kawai pulled one of the pages he had kept from the record book and handed it to the high priest. It appears that only a few lower priests have strayed. She is no longer a threat, as requested. I'd like to stay, but I have a prior engagement that I must attend.
The high priest stared at the names, a tear rolling from his eye as he stared at the names on the list, one his own son. yes, yes, your fee is in the purse, I, I thank you for your service to Abadar.
Kawai nodded, collected his fee, and left. It wasn't often that he was able to collect multiple bounties for one job, but this one was going to be pretty good. He still had two more collections to make.
With a rumble, his stomach let him know that it was well past time for breakfast.
Settling down at a nice little tavern that catered to early risers, Kawai settled down at a table overlooking the harbor.
Lady Rosalyn Luminass |
Dropping out because of lack of input and consistent posting form GM, but wanted to make a clean brake that fits the game
-------------The Dream--------------
Then behind the boy 11 of her sisters come into being,
"We can't wait any longer sister"
Ruby said,
"Really this is the best this plane or reality can do, A dream sequence with a higher being portending to be a boy asking sudo-moralistic questions, and overly simplified I must add, and what was that you said back Rosalyn, playing with him where you? "
Rosalyn blushed
Diamond said as she patted the boy on his head and bending down to look at him in the eyes.
"You know this is really Cliché right, its up there with a barning Bush's and talking caws. Next time thing about the manifestation more. Presentation is every thing."
Then Sapphire added.
"yes yes, but, Well play times over, Rosalyn's coming with us. We find this nice little reality where they have pink seas that we just know she is going to love. So good look with affecting change in yours. Lost of deadbeats out there you can bamboozle into your nefarious and ineffable plans, just not Rosalyn and just not today."
Onyx looked over at Diamond
"Diamond leave the boy/god what ever alone, we are here for Roslyn, lets not get court up in local problems I'm not clearing another of your messes up"
Then she looked at Rosalyn
"We already packed your things so come along sister our, places to be things to do."
Rosalyn looked at the boy and smiled.
"Well it was nice meeting you, and I hope it all go's well with what ever you where doing, but family comes 1st. I wish you all the best."
She walked over to her sisters and they all held hands.
"Will I like this new reality?
She asked
"I did say Pink seas, I know you like that kind of thing"
Sapphire said
Rosalyn smiled and then they where gone.
Left behind was boy in a dream with no one to dream it.
Wivvy |
Nah, I don't like it.
Rosalyn gets hit in the head with a boulder and dies...the end.
[ooc]Okay so that didn't really happen, but I always said if someone drops out of a campaign it should be by a boulder, and I'm not about to change that now.[ooc]
Zuzhou Cheng |
Dotting. Is there any context I should be aware of? I don't know if we ever got a plot blurb as to where we are, why we're there (or want to be there), etc.
Wivvy |
You get to choose the setting that you begin in, I'll group you all up later.
Sazzat Tamm |
so it's a cute tiefling ... pretty soon we'll be wrapping up our tails like something out of Avatar
"Does it matter if it is an illusion or not? As long as everyone believes, illusion and reality are the same thing." Tamm answers.
Zuzhou Cheng |
Zuzhou Cheng steps from an alleyway in a puff of brimstone. He breathes deeply, enjoying his first taste of fresh air in decades.
"Even that trash heap smells wonderful." he mutters to himself, voice grating like stones after such long disuse. Luxuries like talking can spell death in the Pit.
A slight sound comes from behind him and he twirls on the balls of his feet, coming into a ready stance quicker than a flash.
He sees no enemy behind him, and is puzzled for the span of a second, until he looks down. A small grey alleycat looks up at him curiously for a moment, then turns and saunters away.
He lets out a short, barking sound that may have once resembled a laugh, and arranges his clothing to better hide his form. He pulls up his hood, obscuring his unnatural bronze tinted skin and monkey-like features. The only thing that can be seen under his hood now are his eyes, glowing a faint orange in the darkness, limned with a faint blue fire. The rest of his robes cover up his alternately scaled and furred skin, and the disgusting scaled monkey tail that is the only feature he loathes with a passion.
"I'd cut you off myself if I didn't figure it'd hurt so damn bad." he growls at the offending body part, as it steadfastly refuses to lay naturally under his robes in a way that keeps it from making a conspicuous bulge. Eventually he manages to wrap it around himself like a belt and nods, satisfied finally that this is as good as he can do.
Disguise: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (14) + 19 = 33
He walks out of the alleyway and goes to the first place any normal person would go after crawling out of Hell.
"Bartender! I've been on a long trip and I've got a POWERFUL thirst. Bring me an ale, and keep 'em coming." he says, and loudly slaps a few gold pieces on the counter.
Kawai the Kasatha |
Didn't know I was running a protection racket...
The first line is Kawai offing a female (mob boss/crime lord/etc). Followed by finding a record book of said dead criminal. After removing some of the pages from the record book, it was turned into the captain of the city guard as evidence against much of the rest of the gang. Bounty collected for acquiring the record book and saving the city the cost of a lengthy drawn out court case. The aforementioned individual, was also on naughty list of the church of Abadar, having suborned some of the lower priests of the order, bounty number 2 collected for handing over a list of which priests were in need of atonement. Finished off with a comment of two more bounties to be collected with the remaining pages of the record book.
With a slight nod to the head, Kawai indicates for the man to tag along. Kawai walks along the street until the next tavern where he'll enter and wait to see who comes in after him.
Wivvy |
Okay now I get, sorry I was a tad bit confused. So instead we'll say it was the face of of a man you were to collect a bounty from. Sound better? The story works the same either way.
Wivvy |
Kawai the Kasatha |
I didn't see any updates.
Kawai quirks an eyebrow and scans the crowd. Someone offed the guy in plain sight. They might still be about.
Wivvy |
Thomas?
Zuzhou Cheng |
Wivvy |
This is for all three of you that have been posting so far.
Without saying another word, the woman simply smiles and your world goes black as you fall into a deep sleep.
Thomas, you are here as well
When you come back into consciousness, you come to realize that you're in a bare room with no doors or windows. Then, suddenly a twisted voice filled with glee echo's the air. "Hello all, nice nap? It only last twenty years! Sure enough, when you look down at your self, you are horrified to find out that your hands have withered and your skin shows signs of age that you had never seen before but in a flash you are back to normal. The voice cackles "Scare you a little? I hope so! If you really want to know, you've been out for a day or so. Now for introductions, I am the Illusionist, a bored god who chose you lucky lot as my playthings. I do hope you have fun, because I certainly will! Now introduce yourselves quickly! My harbingers are coming."
Note: You are wearing nothing but raggedy sheets to cover yourselves, but a quick look around the room reveals a pile of your things in the far corner.
Zuzhou Cheng |
"I didn't even get to finish my drink." Cheng says grumpily.
He walks over and starts putting his clothes and gear on.
"Zuzhou Cheng. If we're in this, we may as well be in it together."
"We'd better be ready for trouble, and I see no reason to stick around here if we don't have to."
Given time, he casts Barkskin on himself, then Ki Leech, then Deathwatch.
If he's able to cast those three things, then on the fourth round:
Cheng picks a likely looking wall and studies it, looking for a weak point.
Wisdom check vs Hardness: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (17) + 25 = 42
Ignore Hardness of 42 or lower.
He then nails it with one mighty blow, with all his strength behind it.
Pummeling Style. Hardness only applies once to damage since this is a single attack.
Flurry 1: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (6) + 35 = 41
Flurry 2: 1d20 + 35 ⇒ (19) + 35 = 54
Flurry 3: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (8) + 30 = 38
Flurry 4: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (2) + 30 = 32
Flurry 5: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (18) + 25 = 43
Flurry 6: 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (15) + 25 = 40
Flurry 7: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19
Damage: 14d8 + 173 ⇒ (8, 1, 6, 3, 6, 8, 4, 2, 5, 6, 8, 2, 5, 6) + 173 = 243
Do I bust a hole in the wall?
Sazzat Tamm |
Tamm gathers his gear, dons his armor and clothing, and settles his weapons into place.
He acknowledges the monk's greeting and replies "Tamm's my name. This is the most interesting thing I've seen since I came to this world. I don't know how our host incapacitated me and brought me here, but I intend to find out."
He steps aside as the monk batters the wall.
"That's one way to ruin a manicure ...."
Thomas Rubinski |
A befuddled man jerks awake by the odd voice!
"What is this?! Who are all you people?!" He seems particularly indignant for someone who is still dressed in less fine garb than a burlap sack. He eyes his staff and other belongings and scuttles towards them. All the while as he gets changed, you can hear him grumbling about how he's never been more insulted in all his life.
Before too long, he decomposes himself and ends up scouring his spellbook. "Apologies. My name is Rubinski. Please grant me a moment to refresh my magic." His voice is deep and carries with an unmistakable Irriseni accent.
Kawai the Kasatha |
Kawai stands, and quickly gathers his things. Really? You needed to remove our gear? Besides the kidnapping, not exactly the best way to get on my good side. There isn't even any coffee!
While grumbling, Kawai carefully reviewed his gear, checking if anything had been altered, removed, or added.
Checking the other two 'guests' Kawai begrudgingly introduces himself, Kawai, the Kasatha.
I would expect that at our level we should know each other, or at least know of each other.
Kawai would be known as an experienced practitioner of the arcane arts, discreet solver of unusual problems, and occasional involuntary asset relocation specialist.
After watching Cheng pound wall, he'll walk over and put his hands on the wall and activate his gloves, giving him a view through the wall.
Zuzhou Cheng |
"I find that hard to believe." he taps the side of his goggles.
"These goggles here let me see things as they are, illusion, shapechanging magic, whatever."
Cheng has Truesight Goggles, giving him True Seeing constantly. I didn't think it relevant to mention earlier since going "Nuh uh, I'd see through the illusion!" probably would have borked something.
Wivvy |
Every punch that Cheng lands seems to break through the wall, but the odd thing is that every time he pulls his fist back the wall is perfectly smooth and untouched. When Kawai puts his glove to the wall, he sees that the room behind the wall is an exact reflection the room he is already in. It could be a mirror. Then the voice comes back, "Sorry, did I forget to mention you all had identical twins? You should get to know each other, twins are fantastic!" Laughter echoes through out the room. The the voice of the Illlusionist gets a little more serious, "Now let me make something very clear, those fancy goggles you pass of as magical may work for any rag-tag spellcaster, but you are in my world now, I own you. If you could really see things as they are then they were then you would know that everything is a illusion! Nothing is ever real, or true! Tell me then, did you see the door?"
Sure enough, a short look around and you see that there is a plain wooden door on one of the walls like it's been there all along.
The Illusionist's is a god with godlike abilities, the goggles will work with an other kind of magic, but his is a bit of an exception. Still they might come in handy...
Also, anyone done a Know. Religion check to see if they know more about this god?
Kawai the Kasatha |
know:religion: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (9) + 20 = 29
Twins? Nothing good, I'd imagine. Not too keen on being a pawn in some demented god's rat maze either.
Kawai follows Zuzhou through the door.
How obscure is this god? I'd expect that if he was any kind of major, or minor god, we'd likely know enough to identify who he was just by what he's said so far.

As you walk out of the door, you see a regular town. It has houses, a road, and a number of people walking through it. The Illusionist whispers in your heads, "Time for the fun to begin."
