Tauriell |
Tauriell takes out her pouch and counts out 30 pp. "Please do some basic book keeping. So we'll get to know how much that will cost in the long run."
"Gwen and Jimmy have five employees. Carl, Ernard, Thomas and his wife Rosanna and Daya. Every one of them gets two gold per week. Feel free to pay yourself a salary you see fit for your efforts."
"The kids and the staff need deliveries for food. Preferably at the shrine of Sarenrae in underbridge. But if that is not possible Carl and Ernard will get it here. Our cart is standing in front of the guest house."
"Initially there might be some more things that need to get bought. I hope we can finish that ourself before we have to leave tomorrow morning."
"Anything else you want to know?" Tauriell concludes with a question.
Wumbrout Brios |
"I need you to introduce me to these five that I know whom to pay. It would be better if we had some days to get everything running but that's how it is with pathfinders. Always on the run after the next exploration."
"I'll write down my hours too and see how much effort it is. I guess it won't take too much time and if that is right I'll do it for free." Wumbrout replies.
He looks through some of his drawers and takes out a bag. He bags the coins and writes the amount on a new sheet of paper with a name for the book keeping account. He puts the bag and the sheet together into the drawer and closes it.
"I'll do the ordering tomorrow but I'm not sure I get everything delivered tomorrow already."

"Please help me to unload the cart and set up the beds for the kids. And think about where you want to sleep. We have three sleeping rooms and this large main room." Gwenhwyfar says.
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
"You're lucky. At least you know where you will sleep in the foreseeable future and it has solid ground beneath."
"I have to go on a ship tomorrow and who knows where we will sleep after that." Abomentolor states not happy especially about the ship part.
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
"If you want to swim with dolphins you can jump into the harbour and swim out to the sea. Why would you do that when travelling by ship?" Abomentolor asks.
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar approaches Jimmy and put her arms around his neck looking him deep into his eyes "I'm rather fond of that memory. How you jumped heroically into the sea to save me."
Gwenhwyfar Yongisdottir |
Gwenhwyfar facepalms herself and gives up on the explaining. "In the long run we will need someone to teach those kids."
"Some basics about life and reading and writing at least."
Niamh Mugin |
"All right. I want you to listen the first time and then sum the melody with me. When you can hum the melody we will sing the text, okay?" Niamh asks and starts to play 'My Bonnie Is Over The Ocean'.
"Now you know the melody. This time you hum it while I play the violin. Understood?"
Niamh Mugin |
"That was quite okay. Now we sing it together. The text is easy." Niamh starts singing the refrain.
"My bonnie is over the ocean,
My bonnie is over the sea.
My bonnie is over the ocean
Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me."
And then she sings it again hoping the children will join in.

Gwenwhyfar grabs the hand of the girl and leads her out through the side door of the shrine to relief herself besides the house. She looks the other way and makes sure to block the sight if anyone come along the road.
As the girl is done she takes her with her back in. "Jimmy, we need to do something about that. We need an outhouse here. This might work for a few people living here with a pot. But I don't think that's an option for 30 to 40 people."
Foxy Quickpaw |
The children start singing. Some shy some less so. And some are 'singing' at the top of their lungs. Which creates a ear-deafening noise with the acoustics of the shrine.
"My bonnie is over the ocean,
My bonnie is over the sea.
My bonnie is over the ocean
Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me."
Niamh Mugin |
"We want to try to sing without ruining our voice. Try to get the tones. It's not important how loud we are." Niamh takes out her transverse flute. "I play the tone and you try to copy it exactly with your voice." Niamh plays the first note of the song and pauses to make sure the children have enough time to copy the tone until she plays the next note of the song and the next...
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
"A privy is easy to build. Just slap together a few boards to build a shack and a bench with a hole under it. And under the hole you put a bag of holding." Abomentolor explains. "It has much more capacity than a normal privy and it's easier to clean, once it is full."
Abomentolor Goblinburner |
"Working with my hands?" Abomentolor asks in disbelief. "Not going to happen."
"I'm asking that guy who brought the table if he builds one for us." With that Abomentolor is on his way to the carpenter to get that done.
