For Clarity: I moved Richard on the map to the square next to Miya, since you did go along with being teleported. Richard's next action will be the last in Turn 3 of initiative. After that, Grelda, Vitranna, Lera and Jolis will open Turn 4. Then the new creature takes its first action in initiative.

As you valiantly battle the moss men, another creature slowly drifts closer. A bizarre, otherworldly plant floats easily through the air, towards the place where Miya and Richard are perched up above. Without hesitation, it lashes out at the scientest as soon as it's within reach.

This floating one could be controlling the others. Richard says

Planes roll?

Yes, a 22 is more than enough. You only need a 14 to break the grapple.

Judging by the mossy tendrils the creature attacks with, it is safe to guess it is related to the moss men below. However, the creature's bizzare appearance, it is clearly not of this plane. In fact, it seems to have more in common with an aberration any plant or fey you've encountered so far.

Richard quaffs an extract of invisibility. He pulls his sword and says. Kill this one, and the others should come to their senses

Both attacks strike true on the flying moss creature and it shrieks in pain. It tries to retaliate by striking out at Richard, but he swiftly disappears.

Twice, a mighty blow comes close to striking Grelda, but at the very last moment, her attacker seems to stumble on thin air as the swings go wide. Jolis also manages to just barely avoid being hit. Vitranna is less fortunate as the first strike connects with enough force to unbalance her, making it even easier for the creature to land a second. Now that their master has been, the monsters seem to have given up on capture.

Does anyone else think it's odd that the druids of this forest would allow such a twisted abomination of the natural world to live? based on the time it would take a dead body to become a moss covered skeleton...it's been here for quite some time.

"Or our dryad 'friend' wanted us to clean up a mess for them. Who knows? I'm just glad were are all okay", Jolis said, as he gave a little smile.

Richard, these items I found in the magical pack may prove useful in your endeavors. There could be clues or information we have not discovered yet?"

"New booootss, new boots new boots"

She says as she comes up to Jolis, her boots become pink.
Then smiling up at him says,

"If you really want them Joly you can have them, I will be sad for days but that's fine I will live with out my nice shinny new pink boots"

She wipes away a fake tear, but takes the boots off which become plain and brown again. She hands them to Jolis with a bow.

"You asked for them 1st and anyway I think I just spotted something nicer"

walks over to the Efficient Quiver and 2 Goblin Slaying Arrows, the boot now forgotten.

"That! is a thing I like the look of."

She checks to see whats inside then loads it up with her bow and arrows, before clipping it to her belt. Then with a move she pulls her bow and and an arrow to shoot. Testing the speed at which she can do it. She straps the tighter to her back. So she can reach over her shoulder to pull her bow.

"Very nice and handy, everyone fine with me taking it"

she says to the others testing it once more.
