Actually Jolis has indicated we will visit the old man first. I personally don't see the need to rush as the RP is good right now, and I still get a feeling of progress.
"This is a dangerous island. It would help greatly for us to acclimate to this new land first, then make the trek to visit the old man, then the fortress"
But whichever order you all prefer works for me. I have to do the same amount of prep either way.
And we don't have to skip over it completely. If you want to set aside a few posts to roleplay, that's fine. I just don't think it needs to be for the full three weeks.
I do understand players wanting to level and advance. Pathfinder's main mode is combat for that. I get it. And I like to level as well.
But the story and RP and discovery is the juice of the meat. I just don't want to lose the forest for the trees. I'm sure we'll hit the right balance. We have a great group of players.

Of course, I don't mean to say that we'll just roll some dice and skip everything. We can describe our actions over the course of the three weeks.
And I did forget about visiting the Old Man so I'm ready to go when everyone else is. I think the group is decided on our current plan unless I've missed something else?
Oh, I was just planning on leveling you as you hit story milestones. Did I not mention that?
I mean, I don't mind handing out XP, but if I do it that way I'll have to shove in way more random encounters if you're ever going to be able to handle the endgame.

OK, just a thought?
Should I assume since we're joining with the village that we no longer need a spreadsheet of materials from the wreck? We'll just consolidate our food and supplies with theirs and live with/from the village?

I don't think I've ever played a campaign where we tracked XP. I prefer milestone leveling. Speaking of, after surviving a ship crash and those wolves, I think we should be level 9 at least.

If you gained levels for snark, you'd all be mythic :p
Interesting fact. Kauai used to have sluices carved into the volcanic rock that they ran water down to move trees from the mountain side to the coast. Now they use them as water slides.

Miya best skills are Disguise, She has ALL Kn skills +5, and +06 Craft (Traps) and a neat little spell that lets her make tools [lock picks was it job, but any tool normal tool] She also has mend Item, used for her tattoo, but can be used for any object.
Between the information provided by Megra and Seldarin, you learn that the island actually holds near abundant resources for those who know where to look – perhaps too abundant. Plants that would normally grow on opposite sides of Golarion are in groves just a few meters apart. One barely has to dig to find various mineral deposits – even deposits of compounds that shouldn’t even exist in nature. Anything you find is in small amounts however, as if the island were made to hold a little sample of everything.
Valeriya finds enough belladonna for 2 doses. Richard can scrounge up enough material for another 20 paper bullets
While you can collect plenty of bamboo, and the villagers are skilled at making rope and twine from other plants, collecting large amounts of lumber is surprisingly difficult. Cutting down trees is a loud, difficult endeavor that tends to draw unwanted attention from local fauna. Luckily, the Sister’s Grace provides enough material for the bulk of the construction projects planned.
Travelling up and down the beach, you find the remnants of other ships that have not yet been fully cannibalized – some years old, but still usable.
Hunting on the island is also a major challenge, and domesticating anything that lives here has proved near impossible so far. With caution and numbers, animals can be taken down with minimal risk, but it is no easy feat. Still, with the size of most creatures on the island, a single kill can provide a great amount of meat, leather, fur, and more. (Bone tools are quite common in the village).
There are more than enough spears and knives to equip every capable fighter in the village, and about half as many bows. A handful have their own personal weapons they owned before arriving (or that were handed down by a parent).
There are also a decent number of other tools in more limited supply. Compasses, tents, metal trowels and shovels, axes, spyglasses, artisan’s tools, and first aid supplies are readily available. Many other things can be found or made upon request.

Hehehe.
Perfect place for someone to play a Dinosaur Druid!
You say the animals here resist being domesticated? I'm assuming that includes ride-able ones like wild horses and the Dire Wolves we have already encountered?

Also small note: Lera was looking for other stuff too. I've been playing as having a nebulous amount of common herbal remedies. I don't know how much you want me to track things. Usually Lera just scrounges what she can from the land.
@Vitranna: It's not that they are specifically resistant to domestication - just that no one here has had the skill. A sufficiently leveled druid or ranger could probably tame a few animals here, it just hasn't been the case.
@Valeriya: I'm fine with you collecting any various odds and ends for roleplaying purposes and just saying you have them. Ginger root isn't exactly giving you any major bonuses on anything.

A ghilie suit is just an all-over camouflage covering made for SNIPERS. It is usually bulky and a bit hard to move in unless your crawling slowly. It is basically a NON-magic version of an Elven Cloak, without any real convenience. I feel there would be major penalties for climbing, acrobatics, etc...trying to move in one. I DO NOT want one unless it completely non-encumbering.
