You are able to find:
4 Pathfinder Chronicles. They get a +2 to knowledge check if used while making a check.
The subjects are arcana, religion, planes, and nature. It seems they were left behind since there is nothing in the room designed to hold books.
1 silk rope(50 ft)
1 magical ring
Magical lenses
Tower Shield magical
123 arrows.
300 bolts
10 light crossbows
5 heavy crossbows
4 MW strength +2 composite longbows.
6 MW strength +1 composite longbows.
3 manuals on ship operation-->These give you a +2 on any checks related to piloting a ship. It takes one hour to look over the book, and the bonus stays in place for 8 hours. After that you must read the book again.
100 food rations...I will assume they work like MRE's and last for a very long time.
1 scroll of fireball and 1 scroll of invisibility behind a lot of other things
Saxton Quinn |
Saxton will put the books to one side so others can look at them but hold on to the book of plans for safe keeping. He hands the scrolls to Andreas, when he detects them, and picks up the ring, Magical lenses.
"The books on ships are of great use to us and the food rations on our trip, what do you think the Ring and Lenses do Andreas? "
De'ohge |
De'ohge had followed the others into the war room, his detect magic up, half expecting to find an invisible guard.
De'ohge gives the mental one a quizzical look, "nothing against the gunslinger, but wouldn't you be better off asking the wizard 'bout the magical items?"
That said, De'ohge helps himself to a review of the specified items. "hmm, yes, ahh, I see, interesting..."
spellcraft: ring 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18
spellcraft: lenses 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31
spellcraft: tower shield 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 20
Once he's finished that he looks over the other items, "well shiny, looks like this lot is up your alley, except the books, which I think we all will be able to benefit from."
Uchendu Kybwa'ka |
Whilst the strange little man fusses over the overtly magical items, Uchendu eyes the 'haul' as a whole appreciatively, particular the books on ship-piloting, and the long-term rations.
"I have a feeling that they are going to prove to be very useful in the weeks ahead. Still, I think it would be prudent to stock-up on food supplies and fishing gear in town before we leave..."
Andreas Merona |
Andreas looks first at Saxton "if you don't mind i would like to check those books out so i may note the Title, Author and Date so i may add those to the Grand Archive in Absalom"
then looking at De'ohge "Just to let you know I am not just a Gunslinger that is quite new to me thanks to the General." he gestures at Haundo "Which when added to my chosen profession of Archivist that gives me a wide array of talents to pull from and familiarity with arcane and divine items is one such talent. What other talents do you have Sneaky one."
Saxton Quinn |
Saxton is shocked to see the De'ohge looking from behind him at the items
"Arr De'ohge I see at last you seem to believe me, Welcome to the room you never entered, and I think this is why the magic or what ever it was in place."
Holding up the items Saxton to show him, wile he inspects them he says.
"Andrea and I talked the other night about his work for the Grand Archive in Absalom. he knows a lot about books and he knows all kinds of hard to come by Knowledge."
Satxon has left the books out fore very one to see,
Saxton Quinn |
Saxton looks at the things he holds up as well with the little knowledge he has of such things.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 tower shield
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 Ring
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25 lenses
"The Shield do not really know, Not really my area but I think the lenses help you find things better, and this ring..."
Forgot Saxton has that skill as well doow
De'ohge |
rofl
Smiling as the three of them review the three magical items, De'ohge mutters under his breath, "hoping Absalom not overrun by night walkers like this town."
"Aye, these lenses good for any scout. The shield, meh, it good for brawny types, like Shiny. Ring, it I no recognize."
Andreas Merona |
Wondering how these three must look to the others huddled over the items but each taking a special look at the ring. Answering the not so question with his own muttering "I hope so as well, but as an island it makes me hopeful that maybe it was protected and scared if it wasn't." He turns his attention back to the ring
Klor Kragsson |
Klor simply cases the "armory" looking for anything that actually seems usefull to him.
blast, they call this an armory? Me father had more weapons in his footlocker than I can see in this ere room. all bloody bows an arrows.
Klor looks around for another possible hidden door that will lead to more of his type of fighting gear
Perception 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Saxton Quinn |
lets the others look at the magic Items and gos over to pick up the books and star putting them in his Handy Haversack.
"If its all right with every one Ill pop the books away until we get back, then show the professor. The ring and Shield would be good for a close to fighter and the Lenses for and one scouting."
If there is any room left he stats to pack away the other stuff.
"We can put the rest in the magic hole"
De'ohge |
"Those scrolls will be of use to me, unless another has need?" De'ohge points out the two scrolls sitting to one side. "I think my propensity for heights may make use of the rope as well."
When Saxton starts putting the books away, De'ohge holds out a hand and points at the three sailing books, "I have some experience with sailing I would like to review one of those against what I know already."
De'ohge nods to Klor, "True my wide friend, but this is but one room, and from the looks of it, not a customary weapons cache."
Watcher Uatu |
Good perception check Klor:
Klor in his frustration begins to rummage through the disorganized mess that is left of the armory.
He is able to find:
A shiny battle axe
a well made wooden box with a broken latch
4 potions of lesser restoration
A rope made of silk
Rope of Climbing
Saxton Quinn |
Saxton hands the scrolls to De'ohge with the Sailing book.
Picks up the ring and Lenses.
In group kitty if you need them let me know same go's for all the stuff saxton has
Saxton
Spell craft 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11 Axe
Spell craft 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26 Rope
Spell craft 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15 Box
PSICyrstal
Spell craft 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 Axe
Spell craft 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Rope
Spell craft 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Box
"This Rope my be of more use to you De'ohge I think its magicked to help one clime."
Andreas Merona |
Sorry for not following up I was at a concert
"Then we can split the bottle in the box or should we find away to store them safely keeping them together and stored with our gear." he looks at the rings and lenses "Who wants these?
Saxton Quinn |
"The ring would be of great use for a fight who faces hand to hand with the undead, Haundo or Klor, Would the lenses not help you shoot better? as for the viles I would like to have one in by bag I can put the others in but I would think it best they are spread out in the group so that if the one who has them falls they are not all lost"
Saxton gos over and looks at Klor's new Axe.
"That dos look a good axe Klor"
Klor Kragsson |
I be likeing the fee of dat axe. and Ibe appreciatin the offer but what be concernin' me is I also be askin' fer dat ring. and well ta be honest I think I be appreciatin' yer company to much ta be makin such demands.
after he takes another look at the items I see the General uses a big shield like that one maybe that be the best choice fer him
Haundo |
He had kept quiet when Andreas spoke of hope for Absalom aoiding the worst of the disease. He had serious doubts but he didn't want to distract them further, they would be on their way their soon and then they could see for themselves how the city had fared.
At Klor's suggestion he looked at the Tower shield and shrugged, he preferred his bulwark as it aided his aim and the view port allowed him to move forward with it shielding him completely from a frontal assault. He held the Bulwark as a symbol of honor for being a Watchmen of Absalom and wouldn't trade it for some lesser item. He hoped to one day have it enhanced."It is a good shield but I prefer my Bulwark. The Resistance could use that shield better then I." He looks at the ring and shrugs his shoulders indifferently. "My armor is heavy enough to protect me from them for now, I have no need for the ring."
Aside from the magical shield he saw nothing of interest for himself amid the magical items.
If there is nothing else for us to search :) in the building~ I.E. Another room or such~
Haundo picks up one of the heavy crossbow and one bolt. "We best decide what exactly we are going to take and do it quickly. Whatever is left we can split between the ship and the Resistance, we need to start planning our next move on where the supplies are stored. Once that is done we will be free to inspect the ship and sail from here and on to Absalom."
Saxton Quinn |
Saxton will look around and collect up all the paper work they had here, notes and such, the may have put more cashes of stuff away in the city and that would be of use to the resistance. Once he has done and we have all the other stuff in the bag of holding, looks time line to head out.
Is ever one ok with Saxton looking after the bag of holding.

De'ohge |
No problem here, but it would be nice if you added a spoiler to your char sheet for group loot you are holding.
Were there only the two rooms to the military headquarters? A front office, a conference room, and a hidden broom closet? No captain's office, mess room, file room, privey?
Uchendu Kybwa'ka |
"Shall we have a look at the other rooms in this building? If no-one has entered since the dead started walking, there might be other useful equipment scattered about..."
I am happy to take the 'Nature' book as well - I have max ranks in that skill. Also, the 'Religion' book I have is not a Pathfinder Chronicle; it is better :-p
Also, I call dibs on the next set of Eyes of the Eagle that we find - an extra +5 would push Uchendu's Perception score to truly stratospheric levels ;-)
De'ohge |
If you are scouting, take the goggles too, no one else has laid claim on them.
De'ohge has what he wants of the gear and nods as Saxton shovels the rest into the holding bag.
Returning to the main room, he looks about.
How many floors is the building? How many other doors/hallways/exits?
Haundo |
Haundo nods in agreement with continuing the search, as the others finished picking up their items he slowly picked up each item out of the armory and carried it out to the Militia. He didn't them suffering the same trick as they did, so he didn't regret the time consuming effort of ensuring the militia didn't panic...
Once the weapons were stacked out front he got back to searching. He heads to the nearest door they haven't opened yet and checks to see if its locked.
Pick a door at your leisure boss and we can go form there. :)
If the door is locked (He will do this even if the door is locked)
Haundo growls in annoyance as he leans in and concentrates once more, as he pushes his spirit through the door he feels a shock run through his incorporeal form. It was getting more difficult to control his form, if he wasn't too careful he may not be able to return...
FRA: - 1 min - Door Sight - 1/4 Remaining
Saxton Quinn |
Haundo Sorry did you read the thread? all the stuff we found that's not been handed out is now in the groups bag of holding. I really think taking time to open the front door, to "hello zombie land" and stack every thing out front is also a bad idea, all that can wait until we finnish here, save time and get things moving faster. GM also hinted this was not the mean armory bit yet so lots more to find.
Watcher Uatu |
After checking a few rooms with no luck the party makes their way to what looks like a meeting room. The door is not locked.
It holds a large table, several chairs, a chalk board, and a few file cabinets, that can be seen from the outside. This room seems to be for more administrative type meetings, unlike the one war room.
Haundo |
Haundo sniffs the air and wrinkles hisnose in distaste. Musty, paperwork. Bah. "Spread out and look for anything useful." He couldn't hide his doubt from trickling into his words. Doubt that there was anything useful in this room, he still searches though however. Hoping to be surprised...
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Klor Kragsson |
All Right you heard the general, start searchin' !
Klor begins his search of the room hoping to find something useful. thoughts of his youth and that overly big mouthed drill instructor. damn I am starting to sound like him more and more
Perception search: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
