I guess we can give them crossbows. Going into melee with a zombie that can make you join Team Evil would probably be avoided as much as possible.

Strictly up to you boss man. :) I plan on winning this battle with what is provided and I tried to pick the tactics based on what the resistance fighters would be good at~ >:)

Running and Defending being among their strong points lol.

I've been picturing it more or less as so.

Haundo and fighters make a racket and draw away the majority of the enemy to fight them, while Rainbow-Six moves in and fights there way to the BBEG. If Haundo and his Company succeed in defeating the mob on the dockside they would form a defensive ring and protect against other dead controlled by the learned and prevent them from aiding their master.

Granted that may not be the case but that's how I'm picturing it. :D

I don't mind being more or less removed from the main event as holding the dockside would take up all of Haundo's time realistically. So don't worry about catering to my needs more then you have already. ;) If the fight wraps up early on the docks and I end up sitting for awhile then so be it~

Besides I have more then enough PBP's to keep me busy and so I can peep in here all the time and see whats going on anyways lol!

Could i ask are the undead hordes like the film kind dumb and slow or are they fast and smart? I have a few ideas that may work.

They are fast and dumb, but they hit hard enough.

They get 3 attacks, and they have grab. <--I am assuming that being in the resistance you would have seen that much first hand.

Gm Do any of the undead use range weapons at all, which use magic ?


All anyone has seen other than the really big one are unintelligent melee focused zombies. They might have armor, but none have had manufactured weapons.

On a Mindless undead I do not expect this to work but would it work on = the controlling mind undead?. I will understand of you say "you will have to find out in game".

He is still undead and still immune to mind-affecting things just like liches and vampires are.

Is the party going to sink the boat or just cut the ropes. There is a chat room we can use on Monday or Tuesday to speed the discussion up if anyone is interested. I don't know when anyone is available, but I figure it will save time.

I guess since you have the potions of hide from undead you could get there(s10 and s11) undetected.

Has the plan to attack the other boat been abandoned?

I don't think its been abandoned as Saxton's plan would draw that ships attention as well and in a sense bring the enemy to fall into the sea. Since we have no way of sinking that boat without A)Massive Large explosion, B) A weapon that can actually put a hull in the hull.

I believe we were stil intending to cut it free around the time the tide changed?

If not then it would be Saxtons plan all the way. He stands in the water, pummeling the dead with his powers and tricking them into tumbling into the ocean. While simultaneously angering the Learned into revealing itself so that our Rainbow Six team can mete out some JUSTICE!

Meanwhile Haundo and his boys hold in reserve, ready to take on any mob that reveals itself and keep them off everyones back long enough for victory.

Hence why Haundo selected to teach these guys defensive tactics, he intends to outlast them and if a large enough group of them show themselves they can make a false retreat and really give there opponents a wallop they won't soon forget. :)

But if Saxton and I are linked Haundo can join into the fight at the right time and not blow their advantage of a surprise attack.


So Saxton provides a distraction, Rainbow 6 engages the bad guy, and the small militia cuts off the incoming zombie hoard?

Saxton it seems your last post got cut off.

Thats what I think is the battle plan =)

And I think the militia still gets there potions so they get some healing. :)

The below is an old post in the OOC of extra items we found in a village we cleared out. these items are available to our new party members as well. :)

2 pints lamp oil.
3 bull lanterns

5 waterskins.
wand of lesser restoration(25 charges)
2 masterwork healer's kits
1 wand of create water.

3 modified beartraps, [b]not set[b]. (disable device 26) 4d6 damage. DC 25 escape artist check or DC 22 strength check to open the trap.
3 special keys to open the bear traps.

6 mastwork longswords
5 masterwork daggers
1 masterwork glaives
+1 scalemail

Zheng Lu's Encyclopedia of the Deities-A large book on the various religions of the world (gives +3 competence bonus to knowledge religion checks when used/ 1 move action).

@Andreas: Haundo can use any type of firearm, but we have two muskets. so you can have the magical one since Haundo is more of a close range kinda guy. Haithan has some ammo so claim his ammunition as well. Abundant Ammo is a good spell to know too. ;) If you need someone to train him in firearms Haundo can provide easy access to that. =D

I am assuming they are not in the line of sight of the zombies. I will just say it is so because I don't want to draw any more buildings. :)

Since you are on the building I would assume you both have line of sight to each other.

Ok its over to you, I think they are going to be pulled to me until you come then shift to you. So I may go find the learned and anger it if i can. I would wait longer than the 3 rounds just to see what they do when they get to the water.

Switched out a power, Force push is now Energy Ray and this fixs the problem, same action just with Energy Ray .

Ok, double checked Saxton and now have him right, had Armor wrong so fixed and taking into account my mistake on powers spend, I have have them right with Max spend per use included GM, Im playing is that similar magic and Psion powers do not stack, so Shield (magic) will not stack with like power (Force Screen) or one level of wis would give me AC +16 from 2 powers and 2 spells, I am testing Psions here but thats just braking the game and not on, of thats ok GM.

I know psionics and magic don't stack. I have not played one in a while, but that is what I do remember, unless the GM tries to run them as separate things, and that is just asking for a headache, IMHO.
